soup23
Sting repels down from a helicopter. This guy didn't say no to anything ridiculous they asked him to do. Sting just got screwed by Savage the night before so now he trusts Luger? That doesn't seem wise based on past history. Savage and Luger start off and have a decent little segment together. Savage tags Hulk and Hulk takes a walk, Savage drags Hogan back into the ring and Hogan looks good vs. Luger. Disciple comes in for the DQ and here comes NWO and this feels so played. Savage is fighting Hogan and I have checked out and so has a lot of the crowd. Match was actually good before the shit finish and may have actually been the PPV main event. **1/
Loss
This show is so drug-induced. Hey, let's have Sting descend from a helicopter into ring that's surrounded by a pool in a night club, before a match that would have been a total dream match ten years earlier! This was in slow motion and was more of a front to sell the Hogan-Savage dissension. Beefcake attacks Savage and looks awful doing it. He runs in for the DQ when Luger has Hogan in the rack, I guess because Lex Luger was too big of a deal to do the job at this point. Then we get the NWO run-in and WCW is stalestalestale. PeteF3
What a mess. Sting repels down from a helicopter in an INCREDIBLE visual that's pretty much forgotten about by the time the show goes off the air. If the WWF had done something like that it'd be a "where were you when...?" moment for years to come, like Foley flying off the Cell. Maybe it's because while that's going on the camera is trying to also focus on a confrontation between Savage and Hogan's Mystery Man. Is it that hard to give this fuckhead a NAME already? Match is nothing and is poorly laid out. Savage makes a blind tag to Hogan, fully acknowledged by Mickey Jay. When Hogan hesitates, Luger rolls Savage up and Jay makes a count. Why? NWO run-in, brawl, good night, and who gives a shit. For anyone keeping track, Brian Adams and the fucking Disciple have had more Yearbook time than Bret Hart in February and March. TravJ1979
Hogan and Savage teaming just after having a cage match against each other at the PPV. Savage made it clear he still hated Hogan after turning on Sting at the same PPV, but .... I can't explain it. Fuck WCW.
