Loss Posted August 20, 2014 Author Report Posted August 20, 2014 The conclusion of a Jericho-Chavo match. The story is that Chavo is making a surprisingly good showing but Jericho ends up winning in the end. Eddy slapped Chavo's hand away twice when Chavo is about to reach the ropes, then covers his head like he's so embarrassed by his nephew. Prince Iaukea comes out and hits Jericho with the scale and they brawl out of sight. Back in the ring, Eddy browbeats Chavo again, but Chavo stands up for himself. Eddy flubs a line, but if Chavo beats Ultimo at Spring Stampede, that's great, but if he loses, things are going to get much worse for him. Quote
soup23 Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Eddy and Chavo continue their developments with each other. Great bit when Chavo is going to reach the ropes in the Lion Tamer which has been a very protected finisher in 1998 but Eddy pushed him away and then puts on the towel over his head in shame. This is the bigger development than the obvious one month feud between Iaukea and Jericho. Quote
PeteF3 Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 I was thinking Eddie was going to throw the towel in right as Chavo was about to reach the ropes, but that works, too. Eddie shamefully covers his head with the towel afterward and tragically fails to see Jericho not release the Lion Tamer. Eddie offers to set Chavo free if he beats Jericho Ultimo Dragon at Spring Stampede, but if he loses, Eddie's going to ride him TWICE. AS. HARD. (Heenan: "I think that's what he needs.") Quote
TravJ1979 Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 I'm beginning to think the mid-card stuff has the workers largely giving input to the bookers because it is the only stuff in WCW that is consistently good AND continuity. The main event stuff makes zero sense while you have Prince Iaukea coming out with the scale AND Eddy/Chavo progressing. Quote
