Loss
Goldberg kicks out of the chokeslam right away and kicks out. This is over after a spear and jackhammer, which gets a HUGE pop. Bam Bam Bigelow runs out as soon as the match is over to put the boots to Goldberg and they have yet another great pull-apart brawl. Nash comes out and goes after Goldberg, which gets an even bigger pop. This was definitely effective in hyping the pay-per-view.
soup23
This is pretty much the end of the road for The Giant but he does the honors with class letting Goldberg kick out of a chokeslam and taking the spear and jackhammer in great fashion. I thought the Nash and Goldberg pull apart was glamming off of the Bigelow vs. Goldberg one and didn't get as big a reaction. Still, the out of control brawling aspect of Goldbergs character vs. these two men is better than him cutting promos and other stuff he has done since winning the belt. tim
For about two minutes you can't get much better than this. It's as smiple as can be but effective. Goldberg kicks out of the chokeslam, makes a quick comeback and puts the Giant away with the spear and jackhammer to a huge pop. I don't know that any 1998 Goldberg/Giant match could have been any better than what they did in two minutes right here. The dynamic they have going on with Goldberg, Nash and Bigelow is interesting. It's something that could continue to be intriguing with a cool pay-off in the right booker's hands or break down into disappointing nonsense in the wrong booker's hands. Well, I'm not really too familiar with WCW of this era other than the big events everyone knows about, so we'll see which it is!
PeteF3
This is pretty much it for the Giant--he's been past the point of being a real meaningful force as evidenced by doing a job to Rick Steiner, but this gets over pretty huge. It's incredible how EFFORTLESS Goldberg makes it look, to Jackhammer him. Yeah, you can really tell the fans were sick of this guy. Good post-match, too--as we can see here, even with Nash's involvement, there was no reason whatsoever not to headline Souled Out with Goldberg/Bigelow, maybe make it "unsanctioned" and lead to another match at SuperBrawl. JKWebb
Kevin Nash beats the undefeated Goldberg-like Wrath earlier in the show, now Goldberg beats the Giant to show he can take out any super heavyweight. Good stuff!
