Loss
Shorter and more of an angle-driven brawl than the previous two matches. Casas gets posted mouth-first at the top of the second fall and it looks pretty nasty. The heels have neutralized Santo, at least in the short term, so Casas is left to fight both guys on his own. He tries in vain to do so, even though it is a losing battle, but he makes an amazing babyface comeback. Because he's Negro Casas, he can use many of the shortcuts he used for years to fight on the side of good now, like a snuck in low blow. Santo's mask ends up coming completely off and he returns the favor to Scorpio. Despite the rudo dominance, Santo and Casas take this in two falls straight, and in both cases it's because they got so overzealous that they got themselves disqualified. While I really enjoyed this match, I still don't feel like we've seen the definitive matchup between these two teams, so I'm looking forward to the hair match. tim
This is more a tease for their big match coming up but it's still an awesome brawl on its own. Rudos lose both falls to DQ for beating down Casas and Santo too bad. The tecnico comeback in the second fall is really outstanding, tons of heat and well executed by both. Casas' comeback flurry of offense is great and Santo had just made his way back to the ring while trying to be held back by someone from backstage. Santo wipes out off a tope toward the end in a nice bump. This was awesome and I'm really into this feud, can't wait for the big hair/mask match. Tim Evans
Yeah this was a good set up to the hair/mask match. Before the match, Bestia and Scorpio in suits visit a voodoo lady. She accompanies them to the ring. Santo's missed dive was nice.
soup23
Hot angle and a feud I have really enjoyed. Scorpio and Santo getting blooded and having their masks ripped off really set the stakes for the upcoming rubber match. Very effective at setting up the crowd for the apuestas match. ***
PeteF3
Kind of odd booking here, as it seems the apuestas match is already signed from the pre-match talk. This is another brawl carried almost entirely by the tecnicos, with Santo going to town on Salvaje with a big red spot on the front of his mask being the most arresting visual. The rudos are disqualified in both falls and the tecnicos are left laying, to build more heat on this program.
