What do you know, we're in 1999 and the New Japan juniors finally have a heated dome match! They had to pull out every asshole tactic in the world to do it, and the great flying moves from Sasuke didn't hurt either. Plus, Liger-Sasuke is kind of a junior dream team. I loved the stuff like Liger tripping Wagner when he was doing his trademark rope run and Kashin following Wagner's lead to do the dropkick on Sasuke, only to give him Goldust's Shattered Dreams instead. This doesn't touch the March tag for work, but it was still excellent and it was absolutely the right match for this setting.

I do love dirty juniors tags. Opening stuff was really great, not on the level of the March match but still awesome. I do feel like they lost some steam in the middle but everything was still entertaining. Sasuke's dive at the end looked great.

I still get a kick out of Dr. Wagner Jr: New Japan superstar. He and Ka Shin make a good heel team. That dive by Sasuke where he lands on his neck is just plain nuts.

Sasuke and Liger is a great tag team. Here they go against Wagner and Kashin and make them look great while also showing some hate towards them. Kashin in fact hasn't looked nearly as bad as his reputation would state. I don't know if that is yearbook cherry picking or what but he was pretty great here when he locked on his arm submissions for the near falls. Most half touched on the other spots that makes this stand out among other junior tags and I have it just a bit below the March junior tag match. ***3/4

Don't worry Loss. There was a Juniors match right before this and the crowd were comatose. This was marginally the best bout of a disappointing Dome show. The quality level was up and down. Some good spots followed by something unimpressive. There were more double team spots than you'd normally see. Liger won it by executing Wagner with a brutal top rope brainbuster. Solid overall.

Good match though it seemed like we went from the establishing opening portion to the finishing stretch with no in-between, but it could be just because it's late. Even if the finish seemed sudden, Wagner was suitably killed dead so it's not like it felt unjustified.
