Last few minutes. Finals of a tournament to crown a new US champion. It's April and we're already having our second WCW tournament of the year to crown a new champion. Fans get up and look at the entrance right away after the ref bump, which always makes me sad. Match doesn't look bad or anything. Big Poppa Pump pulls a foreign object out of his tights and jabs Booker with it to win the title ... which eventually *also* had to be vacated. Oh, WCW.

They did about 2 ref bumps in a matter of minutes. Booker is still not a star but he's getting there.

Nice match of two guys that felt like they were waiting in the wings to become main eventers. This may have been the worst example of people turning to the entranceway. Booker hits his spinning kick with the referee still down. Scott busts out the top rope Frankensteiner and he gets a nearfall counting the referee hand. A foreign object wins the title for Scott. Solid action from the finishing run.

Enjoyable enough action from what we see, and again I'm late to the party in pointing out the turning crowd as soon as the referee goes down. Steiner is continuing on his way to being a top singles star.
