Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Last few minutes. Crowd is still hot, but the wind seems to be out of their sails. Maybe they are tired after peaking earlier in the night. Maybe they can see what's coming when they have a second title defense in the same night. Randy Savage attacks Goldberg when he has Sting beat, then knocks him out of the ring. Nothing ever came of that in case you're wondering. Then he tossed brass knucks in the ring to Page, who hits Nash and pins him to regain the title the same night he lost it. This was kind of a desperate ratings hot shot, even if it did produce a good show.
tim
Was Savage showing up at times like this as random as it seems on the set? Was this stuff ever explained at all?
Tim Evans
I don't think it was ever explained. Savage helping out DDP is just wrong. Not a fan of this at all.
soup23
Savage helping DDP feels more random and off than Vince and Austin being on the same page on the opposite show. I really hated this back to Page and think an audible should have been called with how over Sting was after his big title win. This is a whirlwind episode of Nitro for the second week in a row. PeteF3
What a way to piss on the great moment from earlier in the night. Oh, and Sting vs. Goldberg for the title at Slamboree seems like it might attract some PPV buyers, so we definitely don't want that to come off.
