Loss Posted October 25, 2014 Author Report Posted October 25, 2014 From the pilot episode of Smackdown a few months before it officially debuted. HHH looks really out of place sharing a ring with the other three at this point. This was becoming a hell of a match before the Corporate Ministry ran in for the DQ. The Union quickly ran out to make the save and we had a huge brawl with everyone in the ring. The ring area clears of everyone except Austin and Undertaker. Vince comes to ringside and cold cocks Shane but then eats an unprotected chairshot (a hard one! Good Lord!) from Undertaker. Out of this world heat for all of this is enough to save it. “Hot” is the best way to describe all of this.
Tim Evans Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 So Test must have turned between Raw and Smackdown cause he was with Shane during the Rock babyface turn. I kinda remember this but it feels like a Raw dark match than Smackdown.
soup23 Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 I noticed that Test didn't participate in the beatdown of Rock so I guess that signified his face turn. The Union seemed ill conceived and way too quick for that group. This match was fun and a cool change of pace seeing Rock and Austin tag even though they aren't best buddies. That chairshot was alarming with how sick it was. The finish was crap but the overall action was good and hot for the ten minutes the match lasted. I will also say that HHH did look like he could hang here. **1/2
Zenjo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Okay so the Corporation seems to have lost half its members and merged with the Ministry to create the Corporate Ministry no less. It's tough to keep up with everything going on in 1999. A stupid idea, but they did have great entrance music shortly after this. Apart from the very start of his career The Rock could always turn into a babyface at the flick of a switch.

PeteF3 Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Good pick for a pilot TV show main event. Yeah, HHH is out of place, but there's a dearth of top heels outside of the Undertaker and he's a better pick than anyone else. The match itself is sort of a typical Monday night TV main event but the post-match is super-hot, with a bunch of moving parts that never feels overwhelming.
