Loss Posted October 28, 2014 Author Report Posted October 28, 2014 This drew an almost ridiculous 9.5 rating, making it the most watched wrestling match in the history of cable television. It is also a title change in front of a building of nearly 20,000 people who are red hot. This wasn't much more than decent, but it wasn't a disappointment for sure. Austin regains the title! Quote
tim Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 Not a great match or anything but the crowd is on fire and they work a fine main event style match that is perfectly adequate. This is one of my big memories of my eariest days watching wrestling. Quote
Tim Evans Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 I'm sure I've seen this before but I don't remember it. This wasn't very good but the crowd is just so molten hot. Paul Bearer looks like he's at his fattest here and Taker takes a crappy stunner in the finish. Quote
soup23 Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I actually thought this may be one of their better matches together as it was basic brawling but everything was hit well and crowd was red hot. The tease on the first stunner was also well done as the camera doesn't show Bearer in the frame until he pulls the ref out. Austin regains the title to a huge pop. *** Quote
PeteF3 Posted July 28, 2017 Report Posted July 28, 2017 Knowing now what Nitro was offering for its main event...this monster rating gets more and more explainable. The match is perfectly fine--more heated and quicker-paced than SummerSlam '98, in fact. Isn't it nice to get an actual feelgood moment on wrestling TV once in awhile? Quote
