Undertaker is aligned with Big Show by this point, who accompanies him to the ring. HHH comes out during Austin's intro and says this match is not happening - he's the number one contender and *he* is the one who gets Austin, not Undertaker. While HHH is running his mouth, Austin comes in the ring and they end up brawling. We end up with an Austin-Undertaker brawl and a HHH-Big Show brawl. The Acolytes and Kane come in to attack Undertaker and Big Show. Road Dogg, Bob Holly, Billy Gunn and The Rock also come in and everyone is fighting everyone. I like how there is a logical reason for every single run-in. Austin and HHH clear the ring at the same time as the show goes off the air.

For a bait and switch this was pretty well done. All the heat for the match not happening went on Triple H and the wild brawl was more entertaining than another Taker/Austin match would have been.

Now this is how you blend feuds together into one big brawl. I mean Bob Holly in a brawl with Taker? That's just wild. JR sure loves saying Mr. Ass.

Taker and Big Show are the two man power trip now. This doesn't get going as HHH inserts himself and then we get a locker room clearing brawl with big pops for all the usual suspects.

Cool to see all these run-ins with nary an entrance theme. Even Kane runs out with no pyro. Fun way to end the show as Austin drops Gunn with the Stunner at the same time HHH drops Road Dogg with the Pedigree, and they both get up at the same time and...and...
