Davey Boy barges into the McMahons' office and wants to know where his title shot has gone. He gets angry and throws a trash can and ends up accidentally KOing Stephanie, who is standing on the other side of the room. She is carted out on a stretcher and this was the beginning of some dumb amnesia angle if I recall correctly.

This was done because Russo had just walked out on the company without disclosing his plans for the wedding, which was scheduled for either that coming Monday or the next week. So they booked this to write Stephanie out for a couple of weeks and buy themselves some time to come up with something.

Did we ever find out what the original plans were?

I could be wrong, but I think it was going to be very similar, except they'd pull the trigger on the Steph heel turn then and there instead of going through the roofie-Vegas setup.

Russo wanted Test to be the heel and turn on Stephanie, aligning Test and HHH as top heels. What happened was much better.

Bulldog's slurred speech is even worse than Jake Roberts speech at Heroes of wrestling. I totally do not remember Stephanie having amnesia. I guess that's for the best.

It's really lame having the 'bump' off camera. It's screaming out to the audience that this is fake. The Bulldog was so far gone during his final WWF run, it's sad to see.

A pretty dumpy way to write off Steph but I guess they had limited time with Russo bolting. Again, I like Davey but blue jeaned, roided to the gills Davey here feels like more of a WCW guy trying to push a past main eventer than the current WWF upper mid card scene.

Well, it's been 3 weeks or so, time to turn Davey Boy heel. But as an ad hoc angle this serves its purpose.
