Loss Posted November 9, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 9, 2014 An ambulance pulls up to the studio (why?) carting Brian Christopher on a stretcher. Christopher has been told by doctors he can't wrestle, but he didn't want anyone to think he was a coward so he insisted that the EMTs bring him to the studio. Funny. He thinks he may be dealing with the end of his career. Doug Gilbert comes out to yell at him while he's strapped down in a funny moment before shoving the EMTs back. Brian ends up throwing powder in Doug's eyes and then DDTing him on the studio floor. Brian then uses tape to basically hogtie Doug and beat the crap out of him. He then pushes him out into the parking lot and tries to push him out into the street (!!) but he's blocked in by a car pulling out. The stretcher almost makes into traffic anyway, but Brian catches it just in time. What chaos! I love watching the cars drive by like nothing is happening. This is a great beatdown and I liked the segment a lot. But the premise of this is pretty dumb because of the plausibility of an ambulance arriving at a wrestling show. Later in the show, Brian is back out to gloat and do the hard sell for the house show match that evening. Then Brian does the Roger Rabbit while in his knee brace (!!!) until Doug runs back out and chases him away and does one last promo. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Brian hogties Doug and the tries to wheel him in traffic. Just what the hell Randy Hales? Brian dancing with his kneebrace while wearing a WWF shirt is GIF worthy. Good stuff all around. soup23 Posted September 8, 2017 Report Share Posted September 8, 2017 I love the audience laughing right as Brian says he was walking his dog. Dave doesn't seem convinced Brian is telling the truth. I liked the beatdown a lot because you knew Christopher was full of shit but he had enough gimmicks to still ambush Gilbert. The beatdown is also a big wrap around of the studio and has a lot of good punches and kicks. Christopher comes out in the main event and is happy to report he has had a miraculous recovery to promote the New Daisy show tonight. PeteF3 Posted November 10, 2017 Report Share Posted November 10, 2017 Christopher's sob story is pretty funny, as is his insistence after the crazy traffic angle that his story was legit and he "recovered" when he saw Doug Gilbert. We've seen so many angles in that WMC parking lot that it's probably second-nature to the Union Avenue drivers as well, and may by this point be a part of Dave's Friday evening weather report ("Cloudy, high of 52, with a 70% chance that one or more Gilberts will attempt vehicular homicide, so you may want to take an alternate route.")
