Grimmas
Any love for Perro Jr.? I was huge into him in 2005 time zone, but he seemed to fall off due to drugs. If he had many years at that 2005 level he might sneak in. I thought he was the future of wrestling back then.
Grimmas
Anyone voting for Perro?
Tim Evans
He might make the bottom of my list. I mean he was probably Mexico's biggest heel since Art Barr/Eddie Guerrero and had one of the true alternatives to AAA/CMLL even though it didn't last long. Had some real good feud with Park, Hector Garza, Mistico, Wagner and others. I like him better than his dad although his dad had better brawls. To prove how important Perro Jr was even in 2014, look what AAA is going through just to replace him as top heel.
Jimmy Redman
Perrito is someone I'm thinking about, but at the end of the day I might want to rank him more than I actually will rank him. When he's on he's so on, just a great heel with that touch of transcendence about him. But on the other hand I don't know if there's enough of a body of work there. He's on the bubble. Quentin
Perrito is so so so fun, man. I’m not sure how high I could realistically see someone having him if he was to make a list but man the dude was such a ball of energy. Maybe a little inconsistent but one of the most charming guys of his generation. The footage we have him as a baby in 1995 and I think already his potential in his interactions with Juvie. Way more talented than maybe the totality of his career maybe shows, but one of the kinds of people who pop off the screen every single time. cad
I've watched two Perro Aguayo Jr. matches for this project. Perro vs Atlantis (Jan. 2006) had an outstanding rudo performance from Atlantis and some nice moments of brawling from Aguayo, but most of the time he seemed more interested in making faces than in selling. I actually feel comfortable in saying that Perro alone stopped this from being a great match, and I hate saying stuff like that. Perro vs Negro Casas (Sep. 2004) saw Perro dominate Casas in the first fall but then pick him up one a two count to administer more punishment. His very next move was a side headlock takeover. But you just... Moving on, Casas got him in a scorpion deathlock, Perro screamed in agony, and then as soon as the ref broke the hold Perro popped up like nothing had happened and beat the shit out of everyone. I don't know if I'm going to watch any more Perro Aguayo Jr. matches for this project.
