We here at Maple Leaf Wrestling feel the NWA Canadian Title is the best title in all of Canada, if not the world. To prove it we have signed a deal for the NWA Canadian Title to be defended at Madison Square Gardens on a monthly basis.

If you want to see the prestigious NWA Canadian Champion in your town, please contact Jack Tunney to make negotiations.

Rumour has it that "Nature Boy" Ric Flair has bought a front row seat for the Maple Leaf Wrestling's Canada Day Super Show, featuring the Canada Cup show!

Why Flair will be in attendance is a mystery, but Jack Tunney has stated that Flair just wants to check out the best wrestling action in North America and be there to congratulate the winner of the premier tournament in wrestling the "Canada Cup".

Ventura is one of the worst singles wrestlers alive. I bet he eats 1983 Bret alive. Having said that, Ventura in a tag team would be fine.

Ventura will be turned into a commentator/part-time tag wrestler/manager/talk show host within the first month.

  • 2 weeks later...

The new NWA Canadian Tag Team Champions are Ivan Koloff and The Super Russian. Jack Tunney will address this issue on the next television show. Alexis Smirnoff was supposed to be Koloff's partner, but he tagged with the masked Super Russian instead. Koloff claims the Super Russian is still Smirnoff, he just chooses to hide his face from the ugly Americans. The other bit of confusion is Don Carson. Carson appeared as the Russians manager during the tournament and helped the Russians win the belts. Carson was allowed to be in Valentine's corner during the Canada Cup, but that was discussed with Tunney before hand. Carson appearing and helping The Russians during the tag team tournament was a surprise to Tunney.

What will Jack Tunney say about the tag team champions on "Wrestling Night in Canada" this Sunday?

A huge show at Maple Leaf Gardens on July 26th has most of it's card announced.

The NWA World Midget's Champion Little Tokyo will defend his title against Tiger Jackson, the man who pinned him on Canada Day at Exhibition Stadium. Can Tiger win the title in his home town?

Bret Hart is returning from Stampede wrestling one more time and has enlisted the help of Wahoo McDaniel and Tiger Conway Jr. to take out the trio that took him out on TV of Jesse Ventura, Mr. Saito and The Masked Samurai. This one should be a war.

Of course the huge main event is best of 5 series versus Americans from Jim Crockett Promotions. The series will feature:

Ben Bassarab (CAN) vs Buddy Roberts (US)
"Big" Stephen Petipas (CAN) vs Barry Darsow (US)
Leo Burke (CAN) vs Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy (US)
Rocky Johnson (CAN) vs Michael P.S. Hayes (US)
Rick Martel (CAN) vs "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair (US)
The Canadians are looking for revenge after Flair tried to ruin the Canada Cup ceremony on Canada Day and after The Freebirds cheated their way to victory in Oshawa. This could all come down to Flair-Martel in the end, two of the best wrestlers in the entire world. Make sure you are there to cheer on Team Canada at Maple Leaf Gardens on July 26th!
