I think he has the most fun offense on the planet and has been in some really good stuff this year, but he's not someone that I'm seriously considering for my list.

He has a few great singles matches which are as good as anyone from the modern era (2010-present) but that's probably not enough for the list in 2016. Maybe five years down the line.....

Anything doing the last five years? Has he secretly been making CMLL mid card trios better for his presence? Do we have lots of great indy matches? Somehow I worry the answer is no to both.

Can't think of any standout indie matches, but whenever I've seen him on a CMLL undercard he'll usually base for some spot from Star Jr or Valiente and make it look great.

Have you seen the Negro Casas match that was technically on a indie?

The first Hijo De Canis Lupus match was great, as violent and intense as anything I'd seen in a long time, found the rematch a bit underwhelming though unfortunately.

I attached a file to that previous post. It's a spreadsheet of standout Hechicero matches from the past few years. Lots of other stuff listed on cubsfan's site:

Hechicero doesn't have the stand-out apuestas matches, but that's CMLL's fault and nothing he can control. He's often the most interesting guy in otherwise dull trios. He is going on 15 years or so of absolutely shining when given the chance, though. Could probably make top 25 in my ballot. I will come back with some links/suggestions to older matches later.

Do you have any Lucha Azteca shows? I've only got two but he's a mainstay there it seems.

I have a few of those shows. I am currently copying all my DVDs so I'll post his matches somewhere soon. The tragic part is that VHS was still being used at that time, so I only have a few DVDs.

Probably a longshot but i was just thinking that I haven't seen many truly violent Hechicero matches so now I want to track this down. Anyone have a date/link?

There's the match bennyowens is talking with the rematch they liked less being 1st September 2019
