Ricky Jackson
Since I have something in the works I want to hype and didn't want to start a thread for it just yet, or tack it onto some random podcast thread, I thought I'd create a general PWO-PTBN hype thread for any network personality who wants to advertise any upcoming pods for whatever reason. My upcoming project, which was alluded to in the Mystery Titans Theatre thread today, is an ambitious attempt at a solo podcast. I've long been fascinated by the history of wrestling at Madison Square Garden, and instead of shoehorning it into an episode of Titans of Wrestling (returning soonish, we promise!), it recently dawned on me to just go for it and do a solo history podcast on the subject. Anyway, more will be revealed shortly, but here is a trailer video for it I put together yesterday.

SteveJRogers
I'm sure Cawthon's MSG book will be heavily referenced!
Ricky Jackson
Well yes, his website is always of great value, but the reference I use most is Scott Teal's History of Professional Wrestling #3: Madison Square Garden, from 1999. Cawthon's site (and book too I think) only contains post-1962 results, whereas Teal's goes back all the way to the original MSG in 1880
Ricky Jackson
And for those perhaps a little overwhelmed by the recent trend of epic, prog-podcasts, At the Garden promises to be your lean, three-chord punk band alternative. No episodes longer than 45 minutes!

Ricky Jackson
Dropping on Wednesday, Titans of Wrestling #63 is the first of a periodic multi-part look at the history of Western Canada's Stampede Wrestling promotion. Kelly brings aboard his longtime friend Travis (Lucha Afterground podcast https://soundcloud.com/lucha-afterground) to host, and they reminisce about the wrestling they grew up on living in Calgary in the late-80s. This episode features the bookends of the territory, with a look at both the oldest footage available-from April 1961-and the symbolic end of the story, the Canadian Stampede main event from 1997. So in the meantime and in between time, get ready for Titans #63!

Ricky Jackson
Better late than never, At the Garden returns Friday, September 23 with part 3 of my look at Bruno Sammartino, this time covering the years 1972-1977. This was an extremely successful period for wrestling at MSG during a dark time for New York City, as Bruno regained his throne and faced off against Spiros Arion, Ivan Koloff, Superstar Graham, Stan Hansen, Ken Patera and many, many others. Check it out!
