Blehschmidt
Kevin and I were discussing the free agents list, and the fact that it is full of a ton of guys that have never been used, and most likely aren't going to get used. I went through and picked out the names that struck me as people who could probably safely be removed, so that we all don't have to be annoyed reading them over and over again when we go looking at the free agents list. (I left people who are going to be retiring next month alone, since they will be gone soon enough anyway) However, we wanted to throw the list out, so that if anyone has an issue with someone being removed, you can speak now, and they won't be removed. Here is what I came up with..... Al Tomko Athol Foley Bill Cody Buck Zumhofe Ben Alexander (To retire after 1986) Bob Adonis (To retire after 1987) Brian Hildebrand Buddy Wayne Chris Colt (To retire after 1987) Don Kent El Falcon Hurricane Castillo Jr. Jerry Byrant (To retire after 1987) Jerry Grey Ky Wakamatsu Lou Winston Mike Allen (To retire after 1987) Mike Dupree (To retire after 1986) Oly Olsen Richard Charland Ricky Knight Ron Hutchinson Scott McGhee Steve Pardee (To retire after 1986) Terry Gibbs Todd Tomko Tom Stanton Tommy Wright (To retire after 1986) Verne Seibert I added Buck Zumhofe to the list because the fact is that if we were being realistic, one of us would already be pushing him because he was a fairly big deal during this time period. BUT, we all know what he did, and none of us want to touch that shit with a ten foot pole. So since we have created an alternate timeline here, we could just comfortably say that he got hit by a truck or something! I also know that Brian Hildebrand is a sentimental favorite, but I just feel like he is better known for being a referee. This still leaves a fair number of folks on the list, and more will be added when the upcoming draft is complete. So it's not like we are shooting ourselves in the foot. Just removing a bunch of guys I assume most of us are unfamiliar with anyway. Anyway, if you see someone you would like to save, please let us know. If you are fine with this list being removed, please just leave us a reply in the affirmative. Once we here from everyone, we will make the change. kevinmcfl
Looking at this list, I would like to keep at minimum, Athol Foley: mainly because his father J.R. Foley is a manager that I have used and if I did again, could use Athol. Al and Tom Tomko as they were pretty big in Canada- Possible open territory if new writer joins. Jerry Bryant and Lou Winston: Memphis Vice was a nice babyface team and is of use. KY Wakamatsu: Decent manager in Stampede. If anyone comes back as a writer there, they would want both Wakamatsu and Foley. Scott McGhee: One of the better babyfaces on the list. Richard Charland and Verne Seibert- Pretty big in Canada. This is the one place I could see a new writer joining and this would give them a few names to work with. Most of the above I might not use but could see a new writer using. especially in Canada. I am torn with Zumhofe and wont use him but we also have Steve Gator Wolf and Ken Waybe who were convicted on child abuse and child pornography. Thoughts? spaldoni
Depending on how the draft works out, I was looking at picking up Jerry Grey.
kevinmcfl
So we keep Gray. Even if we think somewhere down the road that we might use someone, we keep them
