shoe Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 The Tilt-a-Whirl stuff probaly had some influence to an extent. He used to take that move from Psicosis in almost every bout between the 2.
Tim Cooke Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Tilt a whirl back breaker was around in Mexico years before Steiner was doing it. That was a common Atlantis/Mascara Sagrada spot in 1988.
shoe Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 That's true, but in the overall grand scheme of things I think he has picked up a lot of stuff from all over. To me he's been a melting pot worker with the various styles. To me he seems to have taken a lot from Super Astro if I had to name one worker who influenced him.
Resident Evil Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 The Steiner influence is clearly ONLY the rana. Steiner didn't do any other flying and Rey didn't do any other suplexes/throws. Steiner would also be an influence on hard work, intensity, innovation and heart or in other words just being awesome. The same things Rey is known for.
Resident Evil Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 And steroid use That's evil. No comments on the steroids. But this reminds me how big and strong Rey got around 2002 or so. My brother and I would refer to him as mini Big Poppa Pump just because he added on so much muscle.
Phil Schneider Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Yeah Steiner has a huge heart, and by that I mean dangerously enlarged
