KawadaSmile Posted April 19, 2022 Author Report Posted April 19, 2022 I think the crowd is actually really into the show so far. They only did "WHAT" chants for Sonya because she's a very despicable, possibly racist heel. They are following along nicely. Quote
C.S. Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 Just now, sek69 said: Also did it seem like Sonya was sandbagging there? Odd seeing Bianca look like she had to muscle her up with some effort when she's picked up women twice her size with less effort. Sonya has barely wrestled in a year, so it's probably more ring rust than intentional sandbagging. Quote
sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 Saw a good point made on Twitter (I know, I was surprised too!) that while everyone wants to make an Indian star to capture the market, they always make the person they want to do it with a heel. I think Impact is the only company I can recall that has tried winning over India with a babyface, and not surprisingly their TV deal there ended up being one of their main revenue sources, Quote
sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 Veer can do his Twitter gimmick on TV and be a real suave GQ looking motherfucker, but WWE gotta have him out there like a wild savage. New eyes with old ideas indeed. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 19, 2022 Author Report Posted April 19, 2022 Thing is, why bother pushing another "savage foreigner" stereotype when they already have the NEEDLE MOVER in India? Â Quote
sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 Clearly, India acknowledges the Big Dog. Which of course is another point, why does everyone assume there has to be an Indian star for the market to catch on? I mean, ideally that would be great but you can't force it. Quote

sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 Funny how Vince thought Elias in ring gear looked too much like Randy Savage, but beardless Elias looks almost exactly like young minor league baseball player Randy Poffo. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 19, 2022 Author Report Posted April 19, 2022 Ezekiel looks like Roy Hess from Dinosaurs. Quote
sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 I like to think being able to get stuff like this over is why KO realized he can have a long and lucrative WWE career. Quote

Also, I believe India is WWE's #3 market for revenue behind the US and the UK. Quote
sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 Also holy shit a Dinosaurs reference, haven't thought about that show in like 25 years. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 19, 2022 Author Report Posted April 19, 2022 Bro, this segment is the best type of silly shit. All three men involved were great. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 19, 2022 Author Report Posted April 19, 2022 I need Lawler to shut the fuck up right now Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 19, 2022 Author Report Posted April 19, 2022 Ezekiel is wayyyy better than his brother Elias. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 19, 2022 Author Report Posted April 19, 2022 Listen if the Street Profits manage to be good heels (no memory of them being bad guys back at NXT) they might be one of the best teams of the decade. Quote
sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 Edge tying in this current gimmick in to his Brood/Ministry of Darkness character is the most long term storytelling WWE has done in years. Quote
sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 lighting in that promo made Edge look like emaciated Triple H Quote

sek69 Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 I know Finn was getting paid way more than everyone else when he was in NXT, but he's got to be wondering if it's not time to go back to New Japan at this point. Quote
