Ahhhhhh classic heel move on El Gigante but at least he gets a crowd popping moment by headbutting Tully. I've always enjoyed entertaining mid card feuds like this.

I'm interested in what Crush's future plans are. A TV title feud with Hall could be fun.

After that match, hopefully we get another classic US tag title bout. These teams mesh so well with each other

Yes, I'm glad the Freebirds are just sticking with the big hair 80s rock look. They went a little overboard with the makeup lol. DDP brings a lot to their look.

Damn, very creative finish for the Hall. That definitely solidifies him as champ. I'm sure Jesse loved watching that.

Rockers vs Samoans is a great roller coaster match up. Seems like tensions are rising between the Rockers and Road Warriors, adding heat to their inevitable rubber match.

Steamboat vs. Muta!!!! Bring it on!!!!!!

NO WAY! Luger turns on Sting!!! I liked your subtle seeds with the crowd's reaction towards Luger and Sting. This sets up a mega main event at the Bash.

WCW's on fire! Keep up the great work.

WCW Power Hour -

Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously

The whole hour is focused on what happened last night at the Clash of the Champions… we see the attack from Luger on Sting on two different occasions. Tony and Paul E put this through the roof. Paul E also pumps up the fact that Muta laid out Ricky Steamboat! We hear about how the Rockers and the Road Warriors have signed to face one another at the Bash in the Final Brawl…

WCW Top Ten

WCW Champion, Lex Luger

  1. Nikita Koloff - US Champion
  2. The Diamond Studd - Television Champion
  3. Flyin Brian
  4. Great Muta
  5. The Z-Man
  6. Ricky Steamboat
  7. Masa Chono
  8. Tatanka
  9. Junkyard Dog
  10. Abdullah the Butcher

We have a couple of matches on top here this morning… Kevin Sullivan leads out the Varsity Club in a nice tag team win, we see Adam Bomb with a good win, Savio Vega gets a win with his Boricuas watching on, The Freebirds are here with DDP and get a win, and in the main event… JYD defeats Abdullah via DQ! We’ll hear from Lex Luger tonight on WCW… TUNE IN AND DON’T MISS IT!

World Championship Wrestling -

Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura

We continue the saga of what happened last night with WCW tonight and for the entirety of the broadcast… they almost beat it to death but hell… it is important. Another argument throughout the night is whether or not Sting is going to be in condition to return at the Bash now… we’ll hopefully hear from him tonight… here we go!

The Freebirds w/ DDP get a good win… Nasty Boys with an inset interview and they put over how they aren’t afraid of Bad Street because is pales in comparison to Nastyville!

Tatanka gets a good win with Wahoo in his corner…

Flyin Brian cuts a nasty promo on Lex Luger and says he is nothing but a turncoat and he wants to hear it from him directly what happened. He says he has always known Luger to be a man about himself and himself alone… but he has got to answer for what he did!

Crush looks great and he gets a big win… then we see a face off with him and Adam Bomb… this one has got the crowd going mild… but the visual is nice.

The Road Warriors get a good win… but then the Rockers are out here… we find out that at the Bash they will face one another for the WCW World Tag Team Championship… a stipulation to the match is expected to be announced…

Nikita Koloff is out here with Ivan and they cut a nasty promo on Sting. Nikita says Sting cost him the title and he wants to face him in his return match at the Bash so he can crush all the hopes and dreams of the little Stingers and show why he’s the rightful number one contender!

The Varsity Club gets a six-man tag team win with Sullivan in action.

Power and Glory show off their US tag title glory… we find out they will face Owen and Davey again next week… the titles will be on the line!

Ricky Steamboat with a promo… he says that he was happy with his victory the other night but he knows that Paul E has got more tricks up his sleeve and he will not stop until he shuts up the Psycho Yuppie from Scarsdale!

Chono, Sasuke, and Norton win a six-man… WCW has a lot of jobbers working tonight. People gotta eat.

The Diamond Studd gets a win… a huge Diamond Death Drop… the TV title looks good around his waist…

In what may be considered the most shocking situation in the short history of WCW… Lex Luger comes out to a ruckus crowd… they are really letting him have it from the situation last night on TBS and the Clash of the Champions… Ross is trying to get him to talk about what happened… but then we see Harley Race come out with that briefcase again… Ross wonders what in the world he’s doing out here. Race says he’s here on official business. He’s going to deliver a check… a check for $50,000 to the man who took out Sting. Ross wonders if it was Race who put out the bounty on Sting… Race stops him and says it wasn’t him… Race hands the check to Lex Luger… Luger seems shy and doesn’t accept the check at first… but then Ross takes it and reads that it is a $50,000 check… written… BY LEX LUGER! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?!?! Luger pushes Ross away and then grabs the microphone as he and Harley Race are all smiles… Luger cuts a scathing promo on Sting… he talks about how Sting was always trying to outshine him… even while he was the world champion. Sting set this all in motion when he tried to leapfrog Luger to get the World Title shot back in December. Since then… Luger has had a shadow following him everywhere he went… everywhere he looks… everywhere he turns… it is Sting this and Sting that… well damnit he’s tired of Sting! He put the bounty out to get rid of him… but he had to take care of it himself… and that’s exactly what he did!

The crowd then explodes when Sting is shown trying to come out to the ring but we see the Rockers, Z-Man, Big Josh… they’re holding him back.

Luger continues to put it over and says Sting has to wait in line because he is nowhere near a contender for the World Title and nowhere near the league of Lex Luger!

It was Luger! It was Luger the entire time! WOW! Didn't see that coming! Luger vs. Sting will be WCW's money making match of the year.

No doubt about it, Luger and Sting is the headliner but I love that WCW has a lot of other hot programs going on like the Rockers/RWS and Steamboat/Paul E.

WCW Power Hour -

Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously

An interesting morning of action for WCW Power Hour. We get some good matches but more importantly… a taped interview from the WCW World Champion - The Total Package - Lex Luger!

We see a video of Lex Luger, holding his world title… saying… you know last week… I may have let my emotions get the best of me. Sting… you and I have known one another for a long time. We’ve been friends… we’ve been partners… we’ve traveled the roads… we have faced everything together. To think that you would want to come and take the world title from me… well it just rubbed me the wrong way Sting. Since I became WCW World Champion, all I have heard is how Sting should be the champion, I stepped over you to get the shot, I never gave you a chance at the gold… well Sting… none of that is true. I was the rightful number one contender… I won the title by myself…  I have kept the title by myself… So Sting… you want to come back from your injury… an injury that Nikita Koloff caused by the way… you want to come back and think you can just challenge me for the title? I don’t think so Sting. I have had my new administrative assistant… Harley Race… he has crossed every t and dotted every i… you aren’t in line for the shot at the title… so you don’t get to challenge me and try to end our friendship like you’re trying to do!

In action this week, we see the Nasty Boys, The TV Champion - Diamond Studd,  Adam Bomb, Kensuke Sasuke & Masa Chono, plus a six-man with Abdullah and the Samoans getting the win.

WCW Top Ten

WCW Champion - Lex Luger

  1. Nikita Koloff - US Champion
  2. Diamond Studd - TV Champion
  3. Flyin Brian
  4. Great Muta
  5. Ricky Steamboat
  6. The Z-Man
  7. Abdullah the Butcher
  8. The Junkyard Dog
  9. Owen Hart
  10. Davey Boy Smith

In the Main Event - we have a tag team encounter with the Freebirds in action against JYD and Big Josh. The Freebirds break every rule in the book with DDP calling the shots outside the ring. We then see the Samoans come out with Gary Hart… they get involved… the Freebirds get a double DDT on Big Josh and the win but the Samoans get the beat down with a 4 on 2 until the Nasty Boys come out and turn things around. A hot end to a pretty decent show.

World Championship Wrestling -

Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura

Ross and Ventura build up a huge night of action. We will see the US Tag Titles on the line tonight in a rematch with Davey Boy and Owen taking on the Power and Glory! We’ll hear from JJ Dillon about the Great American Bash. Sting will be here… Lex Luger is said to be here… plus El Gigante in action! Let’s go to the ring!

Flying Brian with a big win to get things going tonight. He looks to be in amazing shape.

Flyin Brian cuts a good promo… he says he has been looking at the top ten… he knows that Lex Luger is nothing but a backstabbing piece of trash… and they can call him the garbage man because he wants to take it out!

Chono, Saskue, & Scott Norton win a six-man - kind of aimless right now in WCW but these three have got some talent.

Ricky Steamboat gets a promo in… he talks about Muta and the Great American Bash. The match is signed and Steamboat promises to put on a show but win one for the USA!

Crush picks up a nice win and shows off some power and strength.

Paul E is out here with Muta… he says he will quit managing if Muta loses to Steamboat… Muta looks confused… but none the less… this is going to be a premiere matchup come the Bash!

El Gigante picks up a win in a handicap match that has absolutely nothing to it. He looks good… as a spectacle but the wrestling isn’t there.

A first of a couple big announcements… we hear that the six-man for the Great American Bash has been changed… JJ Dillon states that Tully Blanchard was scared away from WCW by El Gigante… so at the Bash, Gigante will team with the Junkyard Dog and Big Josh to take on Abdullah the Butcher and the Samoans with Gary Hart!

We then see a special video… it says that there is a new GIANT in WCW… he is big… he is bad… he is VICIOUS and he RULES THE WORLD!

Tatanka w/ Wahoo gets a win… he is building up to something… we’ll see.

We find out our second big announcement that the Rockers will defend the WCW World Tag Team Championship against the Road Warriors at the Great American Bash in a CAGE MATCH!

Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan destroys some dudes… he looks like an absolute monster.

Sting is shown to a huge pop from the crowd… he attempts to talk about Lex Luger but Nikita walks over and we’ve got a lot of security and officials out here. JJ Dillon comes out…  wait a minute now Lex Luger and Harley Race are out here! This is beginning to look like a car wreck… Sting gets back in the ring while Nikita is outside the ring… wait a minute… Sting runs and LEAPS OVER THE TOP ROPE AND ATTACKS NIKITA! The crowd is going wild… Luger is backing up… Sting gets up and he is walking towards him but the officials come out… Sting is looking at Luger but here comes Nikita from behind and attacks Sting! My gosh… chaos… officials and agents are out here… here come some of the babyfaces to try and stop this… what the hell is going on!?!

US Tag Titles - Owen and Davey vs Power and Glory… this one goes the distance one more time… these two teams leave everything in the ring. Paul Roma really steps into his own with Owen Hart. Owen looks like a future golden goose of WCW… in the end… we get a nice double pinfall finish when Davey Boy hits a bridging German Suplex on Hercules and Roma hits a fisherman’s suplex on Owen. the bell rings and both teams think they’ve won but the time limit hit once again… these two need a brawl to end it all! We’ll see you next week!

Gotta hand it to Luger, takes some major stones to put a 50k bounty on a guy and then cut a whole promo on how he's the bad guy.

Dangerously is seriously confident that his man can beat Steamboat.

Flyin' Brian is all kinds of fired up.

Sid Vicious is coming!

Giganta scared Tully off so now he and his amigos face Abby and the Samoans.

Sting shows everyone how strong his knee actually is with his big dive on Nikita.

WCW Power Hour -

Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously

We’ve got a full hour of action here on the Power Hour. A couple of good showcase matches… the top 10… plus a video on Sid Vicious… plus a big announcement… let’s see how it goes!

In action, we saw Crush, Adam Bomb, The Freebirds, and Road Warriors all in action. We find out that the Road Warriors will face the Freebirds tonight on WCW!

In the WCW Top 10…

WCW Champion - Lex Luger

  1. US Champion - Nikita Koloff
  2. TV Champion - Scott Hall
  3. Flyin Brian
  4. Ricky Steamboat
  5. The Great Muta
  6. The Z-Man
  7. Tatanka
  8. Abdullah the Butcher
  9. Davey Boy Smith
  10. Owen Hart

We see an awesome video of Sid… it is right out of the movie No Holds Barred… Sid is punching through cement blocks. We see Sid hoisting up huge tires and throwing them down. Sid then pulls a truck on a steel chain. As the video continues to roll… we hear the same words… Master… Ruler…. Master… Ruler… and then the finishing image shows Sid… and he says… OF THE WORLD!

In other news - Paul E puts Sid over like a million dollars… he even says he would love to manage the big man but Tony makes the joke about how Paul E won’t be managing anyone after the Bash when Rick Steamboat defeats Muta! The other big news… we hear that Sting will be in the ring tonight on WCW and he will be with JJ Dillon and a decision will be made about the Great American Bash!

Main Event of the Power Hour has some good action with Owen Hart taking on Paul Roma in a fun 15-minute match. The time limit seems to be the calling card for these teams and individuals. They go the limit and right near the end, we see Hercules get involved and then Davey Boy. It is a no contest due to interference but the finishing touch of Owen Hart hitting a moonsault on Roma and Hercules to finish the show was awesome!

World Championship Wrestling -

Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura

A big night here… we’ve got quite a bit going on… let’s take a look at all the big action…

Ricky Steamboat defeated Kensuke Sasuke in a nice one on one match. The crowd is solidly behind Steamboat and he shows off all the great stuff. We see Muta come out with Paul E and Steamboat welcomes him into the ring but Paul E holds Muta back… Steamboat hits the flying crossbody for the 3-count and the win!

We see the Diamond Studd - Scott Hall in action. Jesse of course puts him through the roof. The fun note for this one is that Crush comes out and says he is the next in line for a challenge for the TV title… Hall doesn’t look phased… until Crush grabs him for an Iron Claw and throws him out of the ring! Hall is irate… these two will meet at the Bash for the TV Title!

Davey Boy Smith defeated Hercules in a one on one contest - Roma tried to get involved but Owen Hart was able to halt him… and then we saw Davey Boy hit a huge powerslam on Hercules for the 3-count! We find out that Power and Glory will defend the US tag titles at the Great American Bash against Owen and Davey… but it will be a no time limit match and there must be a winner!

Tatanka defeated Savio Vega… Wahoo was out there to hold off the Boricuas… nothing too special but Tatanka looks good!

We have a special interview… Sting comes out and he is with JJ Dillon… they step into the ring with Jim Ross… the summation comes down to this… Sting is not in line for a WCW Title Shot due to his lack of matches and the injury - so the WCW Title committee does not feel as though he can compete for the WCW world title… However… they are willing to grant him a match with Lex Luger at the Great American Bash… the man who put out the bounty on him… but it would be Non-Title. The other option would be to face Nikita Koloff - the man who injured him… Sting looks out to the crowd… he is about to speak but then we see Lex Luger come out with Harley Race…

Race and Luger are not happy about this… they say Sting shouldn’t even be in the main event picture after being out for so long. Luger asks Sting why he is trying to take his world title from him. It is something they both worked so hard to get… so hard to achieve… but now Sting wants to take it from him. Luger says he thought they were a team.

Sting then let’s Luger have it about how it was LUGER who turned his back on Sting. It was LUGER who paid to have someone take him out! Luger has been the world champion and he’s earned it but his time has come to an end and Sting is going to do whatever he can to TAKE the WCW Title from Luger!

This brings out Nikita Koloff with Uncle Ivan… they hype up how Sting continues to run and hide from Nikita… a man he knows he cannot beat… a man he knows will injure him again if they ever step in the ring together!

Sting then smiles and looks at JJ Dillon… he says he’s made up his mind… he wants Luger so bad that he can taste it… but he knows that the only way for that victory to be enough is to take that WCW World Title from him… so first thing’s first… it is time for PAYBACK AND NIKITA KOLOFF… YOUR BUTT IS MINE!

Sting then runs and clothesline Nikita over the top rope to the floor! Sting goes out after him… Nikita makes haste… Sting makes chase… Luger remains in the ring… he is all smiles… he knows he dodged the bullet… before he and Race exit the ring, JJ stops them. Wait just a moment… now you may not be facing Sting at the Great American Bash… but you WILL be defending that WCW World Championship… against the number 3 ranked challenger… FLYIN BRIAN!

Out of the corner of the screen… Flyin Brian comes off the top rope with a huge cross body and then he starts hammering away at Luger with huge right hands! Race pulls him off by the hair but Pillman swipes him away and then throws a huge dropkick and Race flops out of the ring!

Sting vs Nikita… Luger vs Flyin Brian… The Great American Bash is set and fans it is going to be a hot one!

We see a couple other matches including… Adam Bomb in a singles victory… El Gigante gets a 2 on 1 handicap win… The Samoans get a tag team win…

In the Main Event tonight… we see the Road Warriors taking on the Fabulous Freebirds. We see DDP get involved… multiple times… but that brings out the Rockers and they back off DDP… in the ring… the Freebirds definitely aren’t the team they once were… or perhaps thought they were… and the Road Warriors are showing some more violent tendencies. The Rockers continue to watch on but then DDP comes back out and then causes a disruption when DDP grabs Animal’s leg… but then Michaels comes over and nails DDP… but Animal thinks it was Michaels who grabbed his leg… Animal goes out of the ring and he is face to face with Michaels… here comes Jannetty… wait here comes Hawk…and there he goes… Hawk with a huge right hand on Jannetty and we’ve got fists of fire outside the ring! The match is ended… the Freebirds grab DDP and go to the back.

The Rockers and Road Warriors get back in the ring and they are continuing to brawl until we see officials and agents come out. The Road Warriors get out on the apron… and the Rockers come with a pair of dropkicks and send them flying off the apron to the floor! Oh my… the Road Warriors are pissed… fans the Great American Bash has come together… it is coming at you in just a matter of weeks… here’s the card!

After reading your dirt sheets, I think good ol JR put together the right Bash card.

I think it was the right move holding off Sting and Luger. The angle was done so well that there's no reason to hot shot it. Let Sting get his in ring momentum going again while Luger can settle into his heel role.

The Road Warriors and Rockers have been tearing it up, so a rubber match inside the cage will draw.

Sting's grudge match with Nikita is red hot right now, so that's a big marquee match up.

Pillman is the ultimate underdog, so he's a great choice for Luger's first big title defense as a heel.

Steamboat and Muta are going to rock the house and now the added stipulation brings more spice

El Gigante will be an attraction and he's protected in a 6 man tag

A feud that's been a real gem is the US tag title matches. This match could steal the show.

Crush is a good choice for Hall. Why not let two big guys slug it out for the TV title.

I think the Bash's matches have been built up well and the fans will get a strong card.

WCW Power Hour -

Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously

Paul E is primed up tonight for a big evening as he says he has gone to Vegas and put all his money on Muta to win and beat Ricky Steamboat at the Great American Bash! We’ve got a television title match this morning on tap… we’ve also got some more video footage of Big Sid Vicious! Plus we will hear from Sting… let’s head to the ring!

Crush gets a convincing win and we have an inset interview from the Diamond Studd who says that Crush is going to end up just like the rest…. Dropped on his head!

Tatanka gets a nice victory this morning - sans Wahoo - he’ll be in a tv title match for some reason later on.

The Samoans get a good tag win and look uber dangerous!

In the WCW Top 10…

WCW Champion - Lex Luger

  1. US Champion - Nikita Koloff

  2. TV Champion - Scott Hall

  3. Flyin Brian

  4. Ricky Steamboat

  5. The Great Muta

  6. The Z-Man

  7. Tatanka

  8. Davey Boy Smith

  9. Owen Hart

  10. Crush

We get another special video highlighting Sid Vicious… he will make his debut next week on WCW! This video shows Sid lifting weights and then dropping them down. We see him lift a car! Sid then goes on top of the car and starts to destroy it with a sledgehammer! He will be live next week on WCW!

MAIN EVENT - Television Championship - Scott Hall defends the WCW television championship against Wahoo McDaniel in… well… it’s a match. Perhaps the swan song for Wahoo as you can tell this is all he’s got! Studd can’t get the Diamond Death Drop… but he does hit the fallaway slam and it isn’t pretty but he gets the 3-count!

Our last segment is highlighted by a special interview with Sting… all he says is tune in to WCW because he’s going to be in the ring and he’s going to tell everyone why he chose to face Nikita Koloff rather than Lex Luger at the Great American Bash!

World Championship Wrestling -

Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura

Ricky the Dragon Steamboat defeated Savio Vega in a good showcase. Paul E has an inset interview with Muta and he says that not only will he continue to be a manager after the Great American Bash but he promises to manage the next WCW World Champion!

Adam Bomb with a good win…. He beats the hell out of some dude and finishing him off with the helicopter toss.

We get another special video highlighting Sid Vicious… he will make his debut next week on WCW! This video shows Sid lifting weights and then dropping them down. We see him lift a car! Sid then goes on top of the car and starts to destroy it with a sledgehammer! He will be live next week on WCW!

The JYD, Big Josh, & El Gigante win a six-man… Gigante gets the win with a nasty skull crusher! Gary Hart has an inset interview putting over the six-man at the Bash and how this will be his men’s finest hour!

Masa Chono defeated Kendall Windham - Sasuke was out there with Chono…

Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan nearly kills Joey Maggs with a Russian Sickle. He cuts a scathing promo on Sting and says that when he chose to face him at the Bash… he chose his own path of destruction!

Flyin Brian defeated Abdullah the Butcher with a high cross body! Brian gets over and cuts a good promo on Lex Luger and says that he cannot wait to step into that ring and fight for the WCW world Title but more importantly… he can’t wait to step in there with Luger and smack some sense into him! This leads to Harley Race coming out and taunting Pillman… only for Lex Luger to come out of nowhere and attack him! Race holds Pillman for Luger to smack across the face a couple of times before Sting comes out and breaks things up!

We then get our big Sting promo… he says that he has got all the faith in the world in one of his best friends, Flyin Brian… that he can get the job done and defeat Lex Luger… win the WCW Title… but then Luger is going to be all Stings! Nikita Koloff is the one who put Sting on the shelf… albeit… perhaps he was guided by Ivan Koloff… or Lex Luger’s money… who knows… but payback is a you know what and come the Great American Bash… Sting is coming for PAYBACK and when it is all said and done… Lex Luger… you will have nowhere to run… nowhere to hide… and no title because Flyin Brian is going to be the next WCW CHAMPION!

In our main event - we saw Marty Jannetty get destroyed by Road Warrior Hawk! Hawk threw him into the ringpost three times outside the ring and Jannetty was in a nasty bad way. Hawk ended up getting DQ’d in the chaos but then Animal showed up to finish off Jannetty before Shawn Michaels came out. The Road Warriors looked like they were going to pounce but held off… will they be able to hold off as they get closer to the Bash?

Paul E might be sorry he bet against Steamboat, but then again I guess I would have the upmost confidence in Muta.

Hall is rock'n that TV title. Crush will be a good test

Sid Vicious is set to rule WCW!

Pillman gets a strong win over Abby as he heads into his world title bout with Luger.

Great promo by Sting. I loved how he put Pillman over here. Him and Nikita are going to tear it down.

It made total sense ending the show with the Road Warriors getting great heat on Marty. Solid reminder why this match is main eventing the Bash.

Nice use of so many of your stars.  A bit to see Abbie go down with a cross body block but I guess its hard to come up with a legit way for Pillman to go over someone as big as Abbie.

Still can't wait for all the big matches you have coming up.  Muta and Steamboat... Sting and Luger.... Road Warriors-Rockers

In action this week, we’ve got Adam Bomb, Power and Glory, The Nasty Boys, Chono/Sasuke/& Norton in a six-man.

In the WCW Top 10…

The last image we see is a rising camera shot from the feet up… we see the blackboots… the kneepads… the black singlet… oh shit… SID IS HERE! “I AM HERE TO RULE THE WORLD!”

World Championship Wrestling -

Pillman says he has the got the passion of 1,000 fires behind him… everything he’s done in his life leads to this moment and he’s going to do everything he can to win the title… lastly, Sting puts over his return… his revenge… he wants Nikita and he is going to pay him back for all the little Stingers out there… he’s going to put an end to him and everything he stands for!

Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith with a good win tonight… they looked primed and ready… could they be next in line for the US tag titles?

Roma and Hercules put over their US tag title reign and how they are going to break hearts, necks, and backs come the Great American Bash!

Then we get our moment… the one we’ve been waiting for… fans Sid Vicious is here and he comes out to a monster ovation. Some people are cheering… some kids are scared… well his opponent is a grown man and he looks like a child compared to Sid. We see Vicious just completely dominate. We see a chokeslam. Here comes a helicopter toss. Now a POWERBOMB! Sid shows nothing but fierce intensity… fans this is going to be something to behold. Ross and Ventura put him over in the biggest way.

We then cut to Muta and Paul E who are putting over the big showdown at the Great American Bash. Paul E shows the ticket… he bet all his saving on Ricky Steamboat… then the moment comes… we see the ticket stub and Paul E reads it… it says he will win IF RICKY STEAMBOAT WINS! Paul E put his money on the wrong guy! Paul E put his money on Ricky Steamboat to win… not Muta! Now… Muta wins… Paul E keeps managing but loses his life savings… if Steamboat wins… Paul E loses his manager license… but wins big $$!! What could be going through his mind now?!?!

Crush is in a nice showcase where he rules the ring and hits the big crushing two handed chokeslam. We hear Jesse put over how he’d like to see Crush take on Sid! That would be something.

Promo from Scott Hall as he shows off the television championship and puts over how he has got this gold tattooed on his body and he’s going to drop Crush on his head and crush his skull!

Nikita Koloff is with Uncle Ivan and they destroy some jobber… Nikita looks like a damned monster… he is without question matching the intensity set by Sid earlier…  Nikita hits the Russian Sickle and then says in the camera that STING WILL BE DESTROYED!

Harley Race is with Lex Luger and they put over the WCW title match at the Bash… they talk about Flyin Brian being a second rate football player who was too small and Luger is going to show him why he is the adonis… the complete and total package of professional wrestling. Luger promises to retain the title… end Flyin Brian’s career… and then turn his focus on the turncoat… the backstabber… Sting!

Main Event time as we see Shawn Michaels of the Rockers take on Road Warrior Animal. These two put on a pretty good match and Michaels continues to utilize his speed throughout the ring. We see Road Warrior Hawk come out and he looks to be in a very bad mood… he tries to get involved but it is Shawn Michaels who hits a baseball slide through the ropes and he nails Hawk into the guardrail! This sets up Animal for a clothesline on his back and Michaels goes flying out of the ring to the floor! The Road Warriors then look to double team Michaels but damn here come Marty Jannetty and he’s got a chair! He runs around the ring and NAILS HAWK right between the eyes! OH MY! Animal nails Jannetty and then Michaels with a superkick on Animal! This is chaos…  Hawk is busted wide open and he’s being held back by Animal… Jannetty still looks shaken up from last week’s attack! What’s going to happen when these four get in the cage at the Bash?! We’ll see you then fans!

Tatanka is really gaining some traction. Having Wahoo as his mentor has been a plus

Damn, Sid comes in with a bang!

This weekend was all about Bash hype and I'm sure it sold a lot of last minute tickets.

Just what is up Paul E's sleeve??? I can't wait to see how all this turns out.

The Road Warriors/Rockers match is going to be a bloodbath

All the Bash participants get to shine and their promos delivered. Every match means something.

Bring on the Bash!!

US TAG CHAMPIONSHIP
No Time Limit - must be a winner!
Owen & Davey vs Power & Glory ©
This is one way to kick things off… these two teams have traded blows back and forth the last month but tonight there must be a winner. Davey Boy rocking a new haircut… nice.  They go about 15-minutes to start us off and now we’re in the championship rounds if you will… once again, we see Owen Hart shine and Davey Boy is no slouch either… Roma continues to look good and Hercules is playing his role well enough. In the end, it is the crowning moment for Owen and Davey when Roma gets clothesline out of the ring to the floor! This sets up Davey Boy for a powerslam on Hercules and then a moonsault from Owen for the 3-count! WE HAVE NEW US TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Owen and Davey shine and they hoist up the titles together. These two have been through a lot and tonight - they cement their legacy as US Tag Team Champions!

The Nasty Boys vs The Fabulous Freebirds w/ DDP
The Freebirds with a fun DDP entrance entrenched with ladies and Badstreet USA rocking throughout the arena. The Nasty Boys don’t seem impressed as they come out and look at the crowd and work the fans before coming right in for a brawl and that’s all it is. It is an ugly, 10-minute contest. The referee loses control early and really doesn’t get it back. Garvin and Hayes aren’t much for brawling brutes… well Garvin thinks he is but Sags and Knobbs kinda do their thing and keep it in line. The finish sees Jimmy Garvin go low on Knobbs and hit him right in the crotch before Hayes grabs him for the DDT! 1…2….3!! The Freebirds with a big win and they are on fire now in WCW!

We get a special interview segment here… Tony Schiavone is in the ring and  he welcomes out the Z-Man. Zenk is returning from injuries at the hands of Scott Hall. He says that he’s been cleared and he’s 100%! He is looking forward to getting back in the ring and he wants everyone to know he is afraid of no man. There is not a man alive who scares him and he’s ready to face all comers… those are the words at least… because then the lights dim… and OMG… HE’S HERE! SID VICIOUS IS HERE! Sid walks out to the ring… he is in a pair of jeans and his black leather vest…he steps in the ring…

Sid: Listen up little man… I don’t know if you understand the world you are living in right now… this is Sid’s World and I am the MASTER AND RULER of the World! You say you are not afraid of anyone… but where I am standing… you are looking at your end right in the eyes boy!

Zenk doesn’t seem impressed and he throws a right hand  and then another as he back up Sid. Zenk then runs and goes for a crossbody but Sid gets his boot up and crushes him! Sid rips off his vest… he slits his throat… picks up Zenk and POWERBOMB RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!

Sid stares into the camera with those crazy eyes… “ I am the MASTER… and RULER… OF THE WORLD!”

TV Championship
Crush vs Scott Hall ©
A good title defense here for Scott Hall - or Diamond Studd depending on your flavor. He handles Crush here and gets a lot of heat in doing so. Crush does get some good offense in and even have some good hope from the crowd. Crush is able to get the head crusher on Hall but he runs towards the ropes and both men go flying through the ropes to the floor. Hall and Crush fight outside for a moment and then we see a very sneaky low blow from Hall and Crush goes to a knee before Hall grabs him for a fall away slam into the guardrail. Scott scoots into the ring just before the 10-count and gets the count out victory. This guy scrapes by but does so in a way that causes a lot of damage. He’s still the champion!

El Gigante, JYD, & Big Josh vs Abdullah & The Samoans w/ Gary Hart
Well… this one is what you’d expect. Big Josh with a lot of the work… he and the Samoans are very good here… JYD gets some good pop from the crowd and he and Abdullah battle and go out to the floor. This one goes quick - as it should - with El Gigante getting into the ring and then hitting Samu with a nice claw smash slam for the 3-count! El Gigante does what he was supposed to do… the crowd saw something… but it is what happens next that really shakes things up…

The babyfaces are walking up the aisle to the back but then out of the apron comes SID VICIOUS AGAIN! He’s being held back by security and officials. He is screaming at El Gigante who can’t seem to understand a damn thing he’s saying! Sid is screaming that he’s the true giant and he’s going to kick his ass! WOAH!

If Steamboat wins - Paul E loses his manager’s license!
Ricky Steamboat vs The Great Muta w/ Paul E
The beginning of our quad-fecta if you will… Steamboat and Muta both with grand entrances to show their star power. Paul E seems confident… he knows if Muta wins… he stays his manager… but if Muta loses… Paul E loses his manager’s license… but also wins on his big bet he made on accident on Ricky Steamboat. These two have got 30-minutes and use 22 of them to put on a helluva show. Both men are flying all around the ring… both men getting offense… but Muta seems to have an advantage early on… only for Steamboat to fight back and get control. The finish sees both men go move for move…. The DEEP arm drags all set up into a nasty shining wizard out of nowhere that sends Steamboat out of the ring. This sets up Paul E to get involved… he brings in Steamboat but then tries to hold him for Muta to come with the MYST but Steamboat moves, Paul E gets Myst! Steamboat with a nasty karate chop to the throat and Muta falters…  Steamboat grabs him and rolls him through for the roll up and 3-count!

Paul E was out of it on the floor…  Muta can’t believe the upset… Steamboat works the fans. Paul E tries to get himself gathered… and when he hears that Steamboat won… he starts to weap… with the myst covering his face… then we see Muta come over and Paul E slaps him in the face! Muta grabs him by the coat… wait a minute… the officials are here… Muta pushes him away and walks to the back… what is going on here?!?

Sting vs Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan
The one we’ve been waiting for… Sting makes his triumphant return to WCW and he looks to be in amazing shape… ripped… energetic… tan! Nikita looks like a monster… No US title on the line but these two fight as though their very lives depend on it. They go 15-minutes and it is hard hitting from the beginning. We see these two go outside the ring… Uncle Ivan gets involved… they go into the crowd. Sting hits a huge dive over the top rope on both of them and that knee looks to be secure! The crowd is rabid as we build to a big finish… Nikita wears down the Stinger and looks to set up the Sickle… Sting ducks the first attempt and runs through the ropes… Nikita goes for it again but Sting ducks and Nikita goes flying into the ringpost… this gives Sting a chance to go up top… FLYING CROSS BODY OFF THE TOP ROPE for the 1…2….3! Sting has won it! I don’t know if it is full vindication but Sting looks to be happy with his win. Ivan goes for the Russian chain but Sting stops him… kicks him in the gut and sends him to the corner for a STINGER SPLASH! The crowd is white hot for Sting… should he have faced Luger? We may never know!

WCW Championship
Flyin Brian vs Lex Luger © w/ Harley Race
There’s some juice here. These guys have got a little bit of a history. The Sting tie in add some meat to the bone. Harley Race is a force outside the ring. These two pull out a 17-minute contest… a little bit more resting than the previous match but we get a couple of hot spots. One of them is when Pillman jumps off the top rope to the rampway and dropkicks Luger… sending him off into the crowd. Ross and Jesse put this over in a big way and talk about Pillman having a chance… especially when Luger emerges with a busted head! He’s been cut! Pillman, like a rabid dog is going after that cut and he’s even biting him! Pillman has got Luger’s blood on his face and the fans can feel it. Luger has to turn it on and he does so with the help of Race and then a NASTY slam into the ringpost outside the ring. Luger goes to work on the back and the neck and Flyin Brian has been grounded. We get near the end when Pillman makes one last effort and the fans are behind him. The finish sees Pillman build and build with some huge strikes and then goes up top for a dive but Luger CATCHES HIM… DROPS HIM ON HIS THROAT ON THE RING ROPES! Ross talks about the throat surgeries… Luger then picks up Pillman… Race is yelling for it… Luger grabs him for a PILEDRIVER! 1….2…..3! Luger gets the win as Pillman is grasping at his throat and neck! Race brings the title in and they start putting the boots to him… until the crowd F’N EXPLODES for Sting who runs down the ramp and leaps over the top rope and clotheslines Race! Sting then grabs Luger and starts hammering him for Luger to jump out of the ring for his dear life! Ross and Ventura are putting this through the roof and Sting looks like he juiced to the gills for the chance at Luger. Pillman is helped to the back and what a gallant effort… that just fell short!

MAIN EVENT
CAGE MATCH
WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Rockers © vs The Road Warriors
The Cage is up… the moment is set… the fans are ready after a full night of action. We get grand entrances from both teams… the Rockers though, they look a little banged up. The Road Warriors aren’t getting quite the pop they usually get so one has to wonder who the fans are behind. We’ve seen a night full of action and this one caps it all off with a 20-minute cage match. It starts like a tag team match but slowly loses control. Shawn and Marty both get busted and are gushing. Hawk even has some juice. We get a couple of huge spots… one being a superplex from the cage on Jannetty by Animal that shakes the ring. Jesse and Ross are putting this over in the biggest way. Near the end - we see the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Jannetty and the Road Warriors are looking to finish but Shawn Michaels makes a last second stop and save! We get a couple more moments of Michaels trying to fight off both men until Jannetty comes back and then we get into the finish. Hawk gets double teamed into the cage but then tries to no sell it… only to turn around to a pair of SUPERKICKS that puts him into the ropes and he’s tied up. Animal then gets rocked with a double superkick and he falls back into the ropes… another pair of kicks… he rocks back again… the Rockers then grab him and hit a double GORDBUSTER for the 1….2…3!!! The Rockers have won it! The fans are going nuts! Shawn and Marty get up on the cage with the titles… what a way to finish the night. It feels as though the winds of change are brewing… and could be coming in before anyone notices it!

The figures are back!!!!!

Great event.  I really liked how you pushed all the new talent to help set you up for the future... Sid... The Return of Sting, etc.

I also liked how you had so many clean finishes.  Just my thought but a house show is to continue to build an angle but the pay per view is, in most cases, to put someone over and move to the future.  Great job!!

Looking forward to what;s next with Luger, Sting, Sid and Muta.  All seem poised for something big!!

I took celebrate the return of the figures.

It's kinda funny to me imagining the pop that the Canadian Owen and the British Smith would've gotten beating an American team of the US tag title at the Great American Bash.

The Freebirds pick up a Nasty win.

Sid certainly impressed tonight.

Hall Crushes it in the TV title match,

Gignate picks up the win for his team but as a Vicious new opponent to look out for,

Paul E's mistake costs him dearly.

Sting finally puts Nikita behind him and can focus entirely on Luger.

Speaking of whom, Luger retains cleanly but the Stinger runs him off during the post match assault.

The Rockers put an exclamation point on their feud with the Road Warriors.
