The 1996 Draft Discussion Thread

@Perfectly Straightedge a roster note for W*ING USA: Hugh Morris and Pierre Carl Ouellet will be billed respectively as Crash the Terminator and Bash the Terminator. As a team, they are the Terminators.

Since nobody took on USWA or SMW projects, I'm glad to see @SirEdger is going to book, from what I've gathered so far, a traditional southern promotion. The Horsemen being prominent and names like Miss Texas herself Jacqueline. I'd reckon Bischoff could be ousted and just let Turner and Flair run the shows. I'd like to see Turner involved more in the storyline if you're taking requests!  However, that scenario probably doesn't work for the Hulkster, brother.

I'm definitlely considering a lot of options and you're not wrong into the possible direction. Gonna try to get all the pieces I want after the draft if some that I don't get aren't available until then.

I'm always open to any suggestions. It's somewhat of a collaborative effort!

I had Doug Gilbert on my board (he was one of the Nightmare Freddy's under the mask in W*ING), @SirEdger. Very cool, I did not see anybody taking him! Goes to show no picks are safe here given the knowledge involved in this draft.

@jeff5819 I thought it was fortunate you took Muta instead of Storm. Muta's an instant main eventer versus HBK, Bret, Vader, Undertaker and fits into the loaded upper card nicely.

SirEdgar gave me his proxy list. So we can keep the draft going as we have made a tremendous pace today. So we can go a few more rounds.

I have to get my daughter ready for bed. I have a proxy list for WCW and WWF. So once I get her settled. I will post their picks.

After my next pick, I will probably just be re-signing RINGS guys for the rest of the draft, so if it is okay with everyone else, I'll just close my draft at that point with those picks and wait for free agency to make the rest of my moves (if any).

Yeah I got WCW's pick for the next 6 rounds. He did say he would be back on at 11 PM. 

I got the full list for WWF though. So those can be used to finish up tonight. I have no issues with you taking whoever @Control21 I feel you got the perfect roster that you were looking at.

Overall, I was able to get a lot of the guys I wanted for WCW so I'm pleased with what I'll get to work with from the start. Gonna definitely be a different feel for WCW in 1996, a bit scaled back but interesting.

@SirEdger I am planning a goofball parody of WCW with a fake Sting. Won't spoil too much of the details yet and I want to see some of your programming before I reveal it.  If Flair thinks he's not getting trolled because the nWo is out of the picture, he's dead wrong!

@Mr JMML outta nowhere with a badass roster! Almost W*ING-esque bringing in the Rottens, the Sheepherders, a monster like KKB and a brawler like Tommy Rich, mixed with the NJPW all-stars and shoot fighters under the Battlarts banner. It's a very cool mix of names. I thought about Hashimoto (also the Rottens were on my watchlist) but he fits the style of your roster much better.
