Timbo Slice Posted May 1, 2024 Report Posted May 1, 2024 Seriously, though, they sure seem rudderless as all hell after that angle. Quote
Jmare007 Posted May 2, 2024 Report Posted May 2, 2024 Caught the end of Deeb vs May and the Omega segment. Maaan, that crowd should feel ashamed of themselves, you got your hometown guy cutting a great heartfelt promo, Okada coming out, Perry being a little shit and Keneth showing some fire and they reacted like they were watching a cool midcard angle unfolding. That one deserved much, much better from those fans. Quote
Migs Posted May 2, 2024 Report Posted May 2, 2024 Honestly, I can't even remember if any of the rest of the show was good last night - they put Kenny and Okada face to face again. Feed it to my veins. Quote
chuckjaywalk Posted May 2, 2024 Report Posted May 2, 2024 I have to accept that the less I enjoy a show, the more Reddit will rave about it. Last night was a difficult show to make it through for me but people seem to be really high on it. I don't get Christian making Swerve look like a geek. It was just about the opposite of what I look to AEW for. Quote
SirEdger Posted May 2, 2024 Report Posted May 2, 2024 I'm in the same boat than you about last night's show. Except it's the whole "Kenny/Elite" stuff that just pissed me off. I enjoyed the Swerve/Christian promo but overall, they went exactly where I hope they wouldn't go with the Elite power trip angle and I'm so over the heel authority figure shit. It's been overdone and no one cares anymore. Quote
pmo Posted May 2, 2024 Report Posted May 2, 2024 Kinda of ironic after all the were different stuff they run back to the most overused trope in wrestling of the past 25 years…. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted May 2, 2024 Report Posted May 2, 2024 Why are we doing a "Dark Side Edge" angle again? He was the lamest part of the Judgement Day and that stable has Funko Balor. Why even tease him joining the HOB? Quote
Timbo Slice Posted May 2, 2024 Author Report Posted May 2, 2024 Because Mal isn’t one for doing jobs and is waiting for that contract to run out before another run in Stamford? Quote
