This week ... Around the Territory!

- Biggest news in the fledgling promotion's short lifespan is the accepted application to the newly created governing body, the United States Wrestling Association. The southern-based organization includes Memphis' CWA and the Mid-South's UWF, both larger organizations that bring credibility to the smaller Kentucky territory.

- With the Christmas holiday, Bluegrass Wrestling skips a week of its television programming as it prepares for the new year. Despite missing one week of television, the promotion will remain fairly busy with several house shows already scheduled.

- With the good news, there is usually some bad news. Several wrestlers have been released from their obligations to the organization. The biggest blow being Gary Royal who has opted to return home to the Mid-Atlantic region. Slotted for the top feud against the Tazmaniacs, the derailing just needed some else slid into Royal's spot but a further blow calls for a total restructuring of the angle as Tazmaniac #1 as he returns to Japan.

- Unable to bring more ladies into the area, Misty Blue Simmes has also opted to leave Kentucky. No harm, no foul as she had yet to debut.

Wow, blockbuster news as Bluegrass joins up with the USWA. I love this, because we're going to see a traveling world champion come through.

Speaking of that, Renesto might be first in line for a world title shot.

It's only a matter of time before Falk produces something for us.

Damn! Lock and the Tazmaniacs just don't care! I did laugh at the visual of Gossett fleeing for his life.

Always a blast to read

Happy New Year!

Bluegrass Championship Wrestling returns to the airwaves in the new year with your hosts Bert Prentice and Ronnie Gossett! Bert is excited as the new year sees big things happening here in Kentucky! First, BCW is now a proud member of the United States Wrestling Association along with Championship Wrestling in Memphis and the Mid-South's UWF. That mean's World Champions will be coming through the territory!

Being a part of the USWA brings about some red tape and Bert introduces the USWA Representative, Mr. Nate Whitlock ...

nateSM.jpg

Nate is happy to be here and is excited for what the USWA means to all it's members and participating wrestlers. 1990 promises to be the biggest and best of professional wrestling for all involved.

The second order of business is to regain some control. Something that has been sorely missing the past month and a half or so. The USWA Board of Directors and the WPSD Channel 6 bosses have come to an agreement that some conditions have not been save for either the station, the fans, the wrestlers and even our announcers ...

Ronnie Gossett agrees with that!

Nate continues that the situation has been rectified ... THE TAZMANIACS HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM BCW! Should they return, fines and bans will come into play ... Lock, I am talking to you!

Bert says they tried that before and it didn't work all that well ...

Whitlock says that was thought of as well and to make sure things are followed to a "T", the USWA has assigned a Commissioner to police the area. Allow me to introduce ...

Phil-Hickerson-SM.jpg

MR. PHIL HICKERSON!

The recently retired wrestler makes his way out to a cheer. Recognized by the fans, Phil nods to the fans cheering him before shaking hands with the hosts ...

lock2SM.jpg

The black hooded and barefoot Lock with a large boa constrictor wrapped around her neck makes her way out. She hisses at the fans then at the assembled gentlemen. She points at the nerdy Whitlock ...

Lock: YOUUUUU ... think you are safe from the evil that is Kevin Sullivan by banning the Tazmaniacs! Know this, Nathan Whitlock ... I have chewed the beetlenut and communed with the Abudadein in search of an answer and he has spoken onto me ...

Rolling her eyes back, she starts speaking in tongues before a back liquid pours forth from her mouth causing the fans to scream and those assembled at the table to step backward.

Lock: The Abudadein has spoken and has said unto me ... the answer is not from without, it is from within! The instrument of your destruction is one of your own!

Looking upwards, she starts speaking in tongues again before pushing her arms skyward and the lights suddenly go off and the studio is suddenly plunged into darkness, setting off the screaming from the audience.

Lock: HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

The lights come back on and Lock is gone. Bert pushes Ronnie Gossett away who has hiding behind him before he throws it to a commercial break.

----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----

We return to Bert and Ronnie as some semblance of normality has returned though the crowd is buzzing over what had just happened. Bert believes Phil Hickerson as an authority figure will set things right but Ronnie disagrees. He believes it goes way beyond that ... True EVIL has come to Bluegrass Championship Wrestling! Bert tells him to knock that off, he's scaring the fans.

Lou Winston versus The Shadow.
The former tag team specialist looks pretty good taking it to the masked man in our opening match. Bert runs down some of Lou's accomplishments having wrestled most of his career in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Very little from The Shadow other than an eye rake that slows Winston some but not enough to change the direction of the match. Winston with the pinfall following a big drop kick.

themortons-SM.jpg

After the match, Bert and Ronnie are joined by The Mortons, Todd and Shane, cousins of Rock-N-Roller Ricky Morton. They talk about being here in Kentucky and ready to show what they can do and when you are a Morton, you can do a lot!

Right now, we need to take a station break!

----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----

Falk.jpg

Local ad with Tony Falk ...

Tony Falk: Do you want to become a wrestler, a manager or a valet? Call the number below and we can get you on the path to stardom! Call today!

Back to Bert and Ronnie with Bert repeating the phone number to call if anyone is looking for a career in the business. Gossett wants to know if this is going anywhere? Bert tells him to knock that off. Tony Falk is a well respected and seasoned wrestler in these parts and maybe next week, we can have him come in.

We have tag team action next with the debuting Pretty In Pink facing off against the Hillbillies. Ronnie is less than impressed. The Hillibillies are too busy thinking about moonshine instead of wrestling. Bert tells him to cut that out.

precious-SM.jpg

Precious? What is Precious doing here in Kentucky?

Joining Bert and Ronnie, she holds her hand out to Bert until he reluctantly hands over his microphone to her. She knows what everyone here is asking right now ... why on God's green earth, would she ever step foot in Kentucky? Why would she ever lower herself to come to the armpit of the USWA with her tag team?

Bert agrees with the part about why she is here but not any of the putting down the state or the fans. Well, she's got an answer ... her tag team is going to start at the bottom, right her in Kentucky. They'll steamroll the competition before moving on to the CWA and the UWF and in a very short time, her men will be World Champions! Ronnie thinks it is a good plan and they should have an easy enough time against the Hillbillies ... Bert tells him to knock that off.

Precious: It's time to separate the men from the boys ... introducing Johnny Hot Body and the Bodacious Pretty Boy ... they are Pretty in Pink!!!

Not the two manliest of specimens come out from the back dressed all pink with feather boas make their way out to a chorus of boos. The cheers start up as The Hillbillies step out to the ring and it is too much for their opponents who leave the ring and attack their opponents ...

The Hillbillies versus Pretty in Pink w/Precious.
The referee is finally able to get control of things and force the match into the ring. We have the bell but the damage has already been done. PiP works together as directed by Precious and isolate Don E. where they double team him and keep him from making the tag.

Heads get a little too big as PiP start to strut their stuff in the ring and allow Don E. to tag in brother Dennis who goes to town with the HOT TAG! He bowls over both men with a series of clotheslines until they scurry to the outside to Precious who consoles them.

Fired up Hillbillies want to return the favor of battling outside the ring but Precious stands in the way and neither are willing to hit a lady. We get the action back in the ring and both teams go at, trying to gain control. Each time the Hillbillies get a little momentum, Precious steps in.

PiP gets back in control of things over Don E. and start working him over. Johnny Hot Body riles up Dennis on the outside and is held back by the referee while the Bodacious Pretty Boy holds Don E. in the enemy corner where Precious lets him have it over the head with her purse.

Down goes the Hillbilly, Johnny Hot Body walks away from Dennis and makes the cover ... 1! 2! 3! The debuting Pretty in Pink are victorious in their debut.

That's all the time today as Bert Prentice signs off but reminds everyone to come back next week for more Bluegrass Championship Wrestling!

Hickerson is the perfect choice as commissioner. It's great seeing him back in our game. However, can he really control Lock? That was some freaky stuff!

Winston gets in a nice showcase.

The Mortons have arrived and are ready to rock n roll like their cousin

Come on, there's got to be somebody out there who wants to be a wrestler. Just give Tony a call

Precious and Pretty in Pink. The name alone is championship material. Get ready USWA.

BERTRONNIEsm.jpg

Host Bert welcomes everyone to Bluegrass Championship Wrestling's Power Half Hour and introduces his co-host. An exciting half hour of action today ... we’ve got the Mortons in action. They were ready to go last week, let’s see what they have in store for their opponents as they make their debut! Also on tap today, the Zebra Kid returns. Haven’t seen him in action for weeks now.

Bobby-Starr.jpg

Our hosts are joined by Bobby Starr wearing Gary Royal’s jacket. Starr talks about the Tazmaniacs no longer being here but that doesn’t let this Lock off the hook for what her men did to his partner in that ring.

Phil-Hickerson-SM.jpg

Commissioner Phil makes his way out to discuss that very fact. He talks about what Lock and her Tazmaniacs have done to shake up the territory which hasn’t seen anything like them before. Florida’s been used to this for years and WCW where Kevin Sullivan currently plies his trade can contain him but from time to time his disciples got out into the world to spread his message. We have that problem. While we can do what we can to contain the problem, like a virus they continue to spread. We’ve eliminated the Tazmaniacs but at some point Lock will rear her head again with someone else willing to do her bidding and when she does, I will step in to make sure that you get that chance to make a statement for Gary Royal and all these fans!

Fans cheer as Hickerson and Starr walk off. Bert talks about the barrage of mail we have gotten here at the studio and the number of calls in to the local police department on Lock sightings in the area. He says some of the fans are legitimately afraid of and Gossett says rightfully so. They don’t really know what they are dealing with like he does thanks to his gypsy heritage. Bert says not that again! Gossett tells him not to knock what he doesn’t understand!

Bert throws it to a commercial break.

----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----

We return to Bert and Ronnie …

AND THE LIGHTS FLICKER!

lock2SM.jpghumperSM.jpg

Lock has returned with a somewhat familiar face in Oliver Humperdink, his eyes wide and moving stiffly as if hypnotized.

Ronnie gets into his position slightly behind Bert. Lock says the call has been put forth and has been answered by the first of Kevin Sullivan’s disciples to help her spread the evil and soon his unholy warriors will march into step to spread the violence as never before seen in these parts. It is only a matter of time that Bobby Starr becomes the second victim in our unholy war, joining his fallen brethren, Gary Royal …

The lights flicker again as the pair suddenly walks away.

Bert hopes the USWA knows what it was doing by inserting Phil Hickerson as the Commissioner because he has his hands full with this one. Ronnie says that it doesn’t matter who that pipsqueak Nate Whitlock puts in charge, it will take a special kind of hoodoo to get rid of Lock and her minions!

Richie Myers & Tony Williams versus Shane and Todd Morton.
Solid tag action from all four involved with the Mortons picking up the win with a double dropkick on Tony Williams.

After the match, Bert and Ronnie are joined by Todd and Shane. They give their opponents props for giving them a good fight. Bert talks about the Mortons and their dropkicks, being some of the best in the business. Todd talks about cousin Ricky drilling that into their heads over and over, it became like second nature to them.

Right now, we need to take a station break!

----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----

Falk.jpg

Local ad with Tony Falk ...

Tony Falk: Do you want to become a wrestler, a manager or a valet? Call the number below and we can get you on the path to stardom! Call today!

Back to Bert and Ronnie with Bert repeating the phone number to call if anyone is looking for a career in the business and adds that Tony Falk will be in the studio next week with a few of his students. Ronnie says it is about time. He was beginning to think it was a scheme by Falk and Bert tells him to knock that off. Tony Falk is a well respected wrestler and trainer from these parts and is not here to bilk anyone out of their money. Gossett says he should open a school of his own. A laughing Bert says he would teach them how to be first at the all you can eat buffet. Ronnie says that Bert is just jealous.

We have the Zebra Kid returning looking for a win here on television following his match with Jason Sterling a few weeks back. Sterling picked up the win but Gossett refutes that saying Sterling cheated. Bert thoroughly disagrees, saying it was ZK who was using the shortcuts. The two go back and forth before turning their attention back to the match.

The Zebra Kid versus Chris Michaels
Bert talks about Kentucky boy Chris Michaels who is popular with the fans as he slaps hands around the ring. Zebra, ready to get things underway, hammers Michaels from behind before the bell.

We get a beating around the ring by the masked man before taking the match back into the ring. Zebra with several punches to the head from a side headlock, drawing a warning from the referee. Michaels is able to escape by adjusting his weight and lifting Zebra off his feet for a suplex. Zebra begs for his life as Michaels comes back in ready to return the beating. Zebra takes a stroll outside which draws the boobirds before getting back into the ring. Michaels lays into the Zebra Kid who is on the apron. Eye rake and Zebra Kid grabs Michaels by the head and jumps off the apron, choking Chris with the rope before he snaps back and hits the mat.

Zebra Kid with the boot stomping and some words to the booing fans. Michaels with the leg inside cradles Zebra Kid for a 2 count before a kick out. Zebra complains to the referee that his hair was pulled despite the fact that he is wearing a mask.

Irish whip and Chris Michaels blasts Zebra with a clothesline. Zebra back to his feet is wobbly as Michaels waits for him to turn … SUPER KICK! ZEBRA DUCKS! BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES! MICHAELS LEAPFROGS THE RETURN! DROP KICK!

Zebra Kid goes down. Chris Michaels winds the fans up as he comes in to pull the Zebra Kid back to his feet. Zebra with his back to Michaels fishes for something from his trunks. Michaels spins him around … BAM!

The fans are screaming as Michaels goes down and Zebra throws something to the outside. He drops down … 1! 2! 3! The Zebra Kid has won the match and quickly pulls away from the referee who raises his hand in victory and runs for the back with the fans screaming bloody murder. The referee helps Chris Michaels to his feet with the wrestler holding his jaw, not knowing what hit him.

That's all the time today as Bert Prentice signs off but reminds everyone to come back next week for more Bluegrass Championship Wrestling!

I'm not sure if even Hickerson can control Lock. I wouldn't want to be Bobby Starr either. Good job with the Humperdink tie in.

The Mortons bring the dropkicks to Bluegrass!

Ok, next week we get to find out what Falk's been up too. We'll see if he can deliver the goods.

Fun main event. I thought Michaels was going to pull it off, but Zebra doesn't let that happen. Zebra's been one of my favorites here.

Referee: Bruno Laurer

BERTRONNIEsm.jpg

Host Bert welcomes everyone to Bluegrass Championship Wrestling's Power Half Hour and introduces his co-host. An exciting half hour of action today …

In the background, Ronnie Gossett is waving around something that is burning in his hand. Bert wants to know what Ronnie Gossett is doing? Gossett says he’s burning sage to help get rid of the bad juju left behind by Lock over the past few weeks. Bert says you can’t do that in the TV studio … is he trying to get them kicked off of television. Ronnie says getting Bert kciked off the program might not be a bad idea afterall. Bert tells him to knock that off.

chris-michaels.jpg

Chris Michaels apologizes for coming out when it isn’t his time to do so but has to get something off his chest. He says when first started he promised his father that one day he would be a champion. He worked real hard to get to where he is today and knew that sometimes you win and sometimes you’re gonna run into someone better than you and lose. He accepts that … as long as it is a fair match. What happened last week was him losing but what it wasn’t was a fair match. The Zebra Kid hit me with something that made me see stars …

Phil-Hickerson-SM.jpg

Phil Hickerson makes his way out, followed by referee Bruno Laurer. After shaking hands with everyone, the Commissioner says he was listening to what Chris was saying and feels the same way so when this was brought to my attention, action was called for.

Bert asks what was brought to his attention? Hickerson turns to the referee … Bruno says that following last week’s match when he was leaving the ring, a fan in the front row waved him down and handed him a length of chain. Bruno produces the chain from his pocket. He and several fans in the surrounding area verified the story that the Zebra Kid produced the chain from his tights, wound it around his fist and hit Chris Michaels with the foreign object. Hickerson takes over and says that usually, if the referee misses something that happens in the ring, the results stand but as this was a televised match, we went over the tape and sure enough, the Zebra Kid DID pull a chain from his tights and used it on Chris. With that said it is my ruling that last week’s decision WILL BE OVERTURNED and the victory given to Chris Michaels!

The fans cheer wildly as a happy Chris Michaels pumps his fist in the air but it quickly turns to booing when the Zebra Kid runs out.

zebraSM.jpg

The Zebra Kid is livid! He says he didn’t need to use a chain on this punk kid and could beat him anytime he wanted to. They are just framing him! Hickerson says his decision stands and starts to leave when Zebra tells him he hasn’t heard the last of this!

When they all leave,
Bert goes on about the Zebra Kid getting his just desserts but Gossett disagrees saying they had inconclusive evidence. Bert says they have taped footage of the match from last week and Ronnie says it was probably doctored.

Moving on, Bert gets to today’s program! Pretty in Pink returns today in 6-man action and what everyone’s been waiting for, Tony Falk’s students take to the ring!

Bert throws it to a commercial break.

----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----

We return to Bert and Ronnie as Tony Falk leads two men and a woman out from the back. Falk introduces his new students as Frank M and the big guy is Big Dave. The young lady is Tasha Simone. Bumper crop of wrestlers for 1990 and they are ready to go!

Frank M & Big Dave w/Tony Falk & Tasha Simone versus The Hillbillies.
Lots of energy from the high flying Frank and big power from Big Dave who has the Hillbillies on the ropes but in the end, the more veteran team of The Hillbillies wins the match with a double suplex on Frank.

The rookies leave with words of encouragement from their teacher who says they’ll do better next time. Inside the ring, The Hillbillies celebrate their win with a little jig.

Ronnie Gossett wants to talk about the rookies but only talks about Tasha Simone and not the performance of the two in the ring. Ronnie says if he was only a couple of years younger … WATCH OUT! Bert can’t believe a few years? You’ve got to be kidding me … try 30 years, grandpa!

Ronnie keeps talking about Tasha Simone but Bert says to knock that off and for him not to be a creep. Ronnie thinks Bert is just jealous.

The fans boo when Precious leads The Bo Dacious Pretty Boy, Johnny Hotbody and the Pink Assassin. Precious gives them a piece of her mind as her troops get in the ring and strut around and not in the most masculine of ways.

The Shadows versus Pretty in Pink w/Precious.

While they might not be the most masculine of wrestlers, they do work well together along with Precious’ intervention that keeps her men in the match after a couple of near pinfalls.

With the fans showing their displeasure, Precious threatens to pull her men from the ring unless the fans shut up as she can’t hear herself think. It actually gets louder (but who didn’t see that coming?) and they leave the ring and start heading to the back while the referee starts to count them out.

We get close but they get back into the ring just in time. Precious wants heads to roll and her trio buckle up and get down to business. They take control of things before Precious is able spritz something into the eyes of one of the Shadows and the Pink Assassin picks on the pinfall with a frog splash.

The victors join Bert and Ronnie and talks about her unbeatable team. She rants about them being real men as she did before, only drawing some unflattering chants from the fans. She threatens to pull her troops again just as she did during the match. Ronnie Gossett tries to help Precious after disparaging the fans which doesn’t help and true to her word, Pretty in Pink leave for the back.

That's all the time today as Bert Prentice signs off but reminds everyone to come back next week for more Bluegrass Championship Wrestling!

Really liked the Hickerson/Michales/Zebra segment. It was very creative and fresh. Nice touch getting the fans involved. You've set up a good feud here.

Falk delivers his goods. They got defeated but showed promise. One day they will get that big win pop.

Precious is really into her role and puts some good heat on Pretty in Pink.

I agree with the others, the newspaper article is always a cool addition to your promotion.

Announcers: Bert Prentice & Ronnie Gossett
Referee: Bruno Laurer

BERTRONNIEsm.jpg

Host Bert welcomes everyone to Bluegrass Championship Wrestling's Power Half Hour and introduces his co-host. An exciting half hour of action today …

First bit of news today, Commissioner Phil Hickerson has notified him that a new referee has been hired, a name Ronnie might be familiar with … Tom Renesto Jr. Of course, Gossett goes on a tirade about it not being fair with his younger brother wrestling in the territory, unless of course, Hickerson did the right thing and released Tim Renesto from wrestling here in Kentucky. How did Bert know that Ronnie Gossett would bring something like that up? Commissioner Hickerson already has the handled as Tom won’t be an official in any of his brother’s matches. Ronnie rolls his eyes but Bert ignores him.

Fans cheer as a sweat suit wearing Tony Falk makes his way out. Gossett notices and sits up straight as he runs his thumb over his eye brows. Bert with the intro as Ronnie looks around as if someone is missing, asking about Tasha? Falk talks about his wrestlers and their first match last week and while it didn’t end with a win, they took away a learning lesson and worked on that in the gym all week which brings him to the reason he is out here today … he would like to ask for his students to get a match here today. If you fall off the horse, you have to get right back up in the saddle.

Phil-Hickerson-SM.jpg

Phil Hickerson makes his way out and shakes hands. He understands where Tony is coming from. Afterall, both of them were in the same shoes as Tony’s students once upon a time. Gossett throws in an “a very long time ago” and is told by Bert to knock that off. Ordinarily, he would put the students on a stand-by match, in case there was extra time in the program and another match was needed BUT he respects what Tony’s asking for and will put them in action on today’s program. If it wasn’t for Tony’s reputation e most likely wouldn’t be doing this, even this just once …

The pair leave as Bert throws it to a commercial break.

----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----

We return to Bert and Ronnie who are discussing what went on before the break. Ronnie doesn’t like it one little bit on top of the fact that Falk didn’t bring that lovely Tasha out. What a shame. Bert just shakes his head before throwing it to the ring and our first match.

Tim Renesto versus Richie Myers. Referee Bruno Laurer.
The match is almost all Renesto minus several moments where Myers did his best to fight his way back into the match. Tim looks good finishing off Myers with a spinning neck breaker which makes the fans happy as they cheer Bruno slapping out the three count.

Renesto joins our hosts following the match and has nothing but praise for his opponent. We all started somewhere and one day, with more experience under his belt, it might be Richie Myers with the win standing here. Bert adds in Renesto’s pedigree as a very big factor which most in the business will never have. Gossett with a snide comment about the Renesto boys but Bert tells him to knock that off. When asked what’s next, Renesto says he’s looking forward to the possibility of the USWA Champion coming through these parts to wrestle as well as any local titles that he’s sure we’ll be hearing about one of these days.

richard-lee.png

After Renesto leaves, our hosts are joined by a man in a suit who hands both a business card. Bert reads it off and introduces Richard Lee, ESQUIRE. Lee says he’s a manager of champions and comes here today representing his newest client, The Zebra Kid. He is here in hopes of sitting down with whoever is in charge and discuss this reversal of result to his client’s match 2 weeks ago. This was done without due process and affects his client’s ability to support himself, having his pay reduced all thanks to someone sitting out in the audience who SAID THEY SAW SOMETHING?

This brings out Commissioner Hickerson who says something about not having to come out here too often as it takes away from the wrestling the fans have come here to see and tuned in from home. Lee starts grilling Hickerson about his decision and whether or not we can actually trust this so-called “fan” and he uses the term loosely. How do we know this fan doesn’t have an axe to grind with his client or bet upon the outcome of the match and put his money on the wrong wrestler. Richard Lee KNOWS that Commissioner Hickerson will do the CORRECT thing and return the victory to The Zebra Kid … OR … it will force Lee’s hand!

Richard Lee walks off to a smattering of boos.

Ronnie keeps talking about Tasha Simone, wondering when she is going to wrestle but Bert says to knock that off and for him not to be a creep. Ronnie thinks Bert is just jealous.

Frank M & Big Dave versus The Mortons. Referee Tom Renesto Jr.
New referee in action here and The Mortons are on fire in the early going, dropkicking all over the ring. The Rookies leave the ring to regroup while the Mortons celebrate with the fans.

Tony Falk rallies his troops and gets them back into the match where Frank M is isolated and takes a beating from the quick moving and fast tagging Mortons. They are a well oiled machine moving in and out of the tags, getting in a double teaming each time which Ronnie Gossett complains about, blaming the ineptitude of the referee.

Big Dave is able to tag in and things change for the better as he grabs Shane Morton by the throat and lifts him in the air. He slams Morton down and covers. 1! 2! Todd Morton in and he breaks it up. Gossett complains first about a slow count by Renesto and then Morton’s interference.

At 6’5”, 305 pounds, Dave is a monster of a man compared to his opponents but the Mortons have heart and will take on anyone. A couple of double dropkicks knocks Big Dave backwards but not down. A third sends him back into his corner where he makes contact with his partner Frank.

Legal man in, Frank eats a drop kick from Shane who tags in Todd. Shane with the Irish whip sends Frank across the ring and on the return, Todd slingshots himself into the ring, wiping out Frank M with a clothesline. Todd with the cover and Shane runs interference as Big Dave hits the ring to break it up to no avail.

The Mortons with the win celebrate the victory with the fans while Tony Falk consoles the Rookies by saying they’ll get them next time.

From the McCracken County High School
Paducah, Kentucky
Home of the Mustangs

Sunday, February 2nd, 1990

1. Wild Dog pinned Tony Williams.

2. Johnny Hotbody w/Precious beat Frank M w/Tony Falk.

3. Chris Michaels with the victory over Richie Myers.

4. Zebra Kid w/Richard Lee over All American Bobby Starr. *

*Lock and Oliver Humperdink came out to watch the match. While Starr did well, it was the interference of Richard Lee that was the difference maker. After the match, the Zebra Kid with some pent up aggression continued to put the boots to Starr. Lee also, got in on the act with a stomping of his own. Chris Michaels and Wild Dog hit the ring to chase off ZK and his manager.

Hickerson is making good on his promise of keeping order by bringing in Renesto Jr as a Ref.

Speaking of the Renestos, I liked that Tim mentioned the USWA title. I'm looking forward to seeing the champ make an appearance here.

Lee is wasting no time by signing Zebra Kid. The story about the reversed decision is so simple but so effective.

Falk gets his wish but his guys come up short. After only 2 weeks, they have shown a lot of improvement.

Fun card at the HS. The main event was intense, especially with Lock and Humperdink out there.

Really enjoyed catching up on Bluegrass Championship Wrestling.  Your promotion is perfect for the territory.

Lock and Humperdink are great as the scary heel combo.

Falk and his students are also a great angle here.  It really makes people think they can make it in the wrestling world.

Michaels and The Zebra Kid gives Hickerson a chance to show his authority... throw in Richard Lee as lawyer/manager and the heat is on.

Speaking of heat... Pretty in Pink in Kentucky... not a fan would dare cheer.  Love it!

Also Ronnie's "one sided affair" with Tasha is great.  I do bet she increases viewership
