ErictheDragon Posted April 18 Posted April 18 SNME is here! Let's do it! Hart proves his worth as Z-man "proves" that he was the leading man in High Energy. An impressive field for King of the Ring though I will say there's a clear final. Warlord gets a highlight reel worthy moment slamming OMG but Power & Glory crash the victory party. The King takes the cheap way to the #1 contender's spot. Big moment for Tatanka as he gets the pin and Wahoo passes the torch. Mr Backlund has Nailz primed for his first WWF match......in several months. Taylor is looking to make to big moves in the WWF. The undisputed tag titles will be residing in Nastyville.
kevinmcfl Posted April 18 Posted April 18 SNME was really well done. You had the announce team of Gorilla and Hayes down pat! Some great matches that were really well done but I think you used SNME perfectly as it builds to other events. The brackets look in favor of Flair for King of the Ring but can't wait to see how you see it. Also, loved how Lawler wins the #1 contender's match and you get him and Tito into it right away! That is going to be fun. Great tag match to close out the night. You do a nice job of giving us all the big moments in the match without overwhelming us with details and info which makes for a fun and easy read. Love your format!
spaldoni Posted April 19 Posted April 19 The go home show to SNME was a fun read. The promos were great and served their purpose in hyping up the event. Warrior passing the torch to Titan was a huge moment. I liked the realistic behind the scenes depiction of this. The WWF is definitely in a transition stage and I'm excited about the direction. SNME time! Hart is working wonders with Zenk. This win over Koko gives Zenk heel credibility and also gets his new finisher over The KOTR brackets are set. I'm very curious with what happens with Jake and Andre. Meanwhile, Flair is fired up and more confident than ever. Warlord gets a big time win over OMG but takes a brutal beating from Slick's army. Warlord may need some back up I'll give it up to Lawler, the man knows how to get a win. I think him and Tito will have an intense program. Trust me, these two will deliver Wahoo gets an emotional sendoff and deserves it. Loved that passing of the torch moment with Tatanka. Wow, Backlund giving Nailz guidance will be must see TV. This is going to get crazy! I've always loved heel Terry Taylor. He plays the arrogant heel so well. After a chaotic match, the Nasties unify the titles. Welcome to Nastyville! Great show! Can't wait for KOTR!
KingBoggs33 Posted Wednesday at 03:24 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 03:24 PM Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. I’ve had some personal issues come up that delayed the return episode of Monday Night Raw, but I’ll have it up very soon.
KingBoggs33 Posted Wednesday at 04:52 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 04:52 PM There is growing backstage talk about Don Callis after an injury suffered at a recent house show. According to multiple sources, the injury occurred during a match against former WWF Superstar The Ultimate Warrior, where Callis reportedly took an awkward bump that resulted in a back issue. While details are still limited, it’s being said that the injury is not considered career-threatening, but enough to sideline him from in-ring competition for the time being. At the same time, the WWF has quietly been searching for a younger voice to complement Gorilla Monsoon on commentary for the long term. There had been internal discussions about reaching out to other promotions to find someone who could grow into that role over the next few years. However, those plans appear to have changed very quickly. Word is that Vince McMahon personally heard Callis during a commentary tryout session and was immediately impressed. Sources say Vince “fell in love” with Callis’ delivery and presence, to the point where there is now little interest in rushing him back into the ring. Instead, the current belief is that Callis could be groomed as a regular voice on television moving forward. As for Callis himself, the situation is said to be mixed. On one hand, there is a feeling that he still has something to offer inside the ring, but on the other, the opportunity to be on television weekly in a high-profile role is something he understands is difficult to pass up. For now, it appears he is embracing the opportunity. Callis is expected to be part of the debut era of Monday Night Raw, working alongside Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes as part of the broadcast team, signaling a potential long-term shift in his role within the company. OOC: Hopefully, you guys don’t mind me going in this direction. That’s honestly part of the fun with this kind of booking, taking guys and letting their careers play out a little differently. I wanted to explain the thinking behind it. I was watching some early 90s WWF and really enjoyed the Johnny Polo character, which we all know eventually leads to Raven. While I was figuring out my commentary team, it just clicked. Why not use Don Callis in a similar role? He isn't going to be Johnny Polo or The Jackyl, but I will find something for him.
Control21 Posted Wednesday at 05:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:32 PM Callis on commentary makes sense to me.
ErictheDragon Posted Wednesday at 06:07 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:07 PM Don Callis may be an insufferable prick but he's damn good on commentary. Loved his work in Impact.

ErictheDragon Posted Friday at 05:36 AM Posted Friday at 05:36 AM Snuka shows he can still fly high after Andre walked out on him. Lawler just sent his chances for winning the tile way up after that Piledriver. Power & Glory are looking good but the Warlord has found himself a Dog to go into battle with. Mr Backlund has Nailz on the path to true rehabilitation. Looks like Hase & Sasaki decided they needed a master after all. I've heard that Taylor's promos lagged behind his ring work but you've found a great voice for him. Jake & Andre put Flair on notice. The Titan closes the show on a huge moment as he becomes the first ever WWF TV champion.
spaldoni Posted Saturday at 08:02 PM Posted Saturday at 08:02 PM Really enjoyable Raw re debut I think Snuka still has a lot to offer and he proved it tonight with the superfly splash! Tito and Lawler get some major heat going. The piledriver on the title was a great Raw moment Warlord brings in JYD! This will be interesting. Maybe JYD can give Slick the big thump. Loved all the promos tonight. Jimmy Hart sure does have a lot to brag about Can Backlund pull off the impossible and rehabilitate Nailz Gary Hart is assembling quite the army. No doubt he'll bring out Ronin's aggressive side to a whole new level. On a side note, I did like the Bart/Billy Jack tough man combo. Loving the Taylor Made Man's vignettes. He plays this part soooooooo well The intrigue with Flair, Snake and Andre is getting intense. I can't wait to see where this goes Raw caps off the night with Titan holding the new TV title high. Props to you for building him into a star

ErictheDragon Posted Sunday at 06:55 PM Posted Sunday at 06:55 PM Titan makes quick work of his first title defense. But Spivey represents a whole new level of danger. The King and the Genius getting heat like only they can. The First Family get the win even as Quake us distracted by Tugboat. Whoever that is, they have to be important for Tunney to clear everyone out. Valiant's gonna have a hard time dancing after being in the figure four. Roberts ruins the victory party by planting Ric with the DDT. The Taylor Made Man is looking sharp in his debut. Forget the American Dream, it's time for the WWF to experience Akeem the African Dream!
kevinmcfl Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM First, sorry for falling a little behind. Great choice with Callis on the mic. The first two RAW shows were great. You seem to have so much going on but it all seems to be so well thought out. So many great feuds are developing nicely.... Santana vs Lawler, the Warlord vs Slick, Snake and Flair. Then you got some great alliances forming with Ronin and Hart, Backlund and Nailz and the First Family. Very interested in the King of the Ring but more interested in the phone call that Jack Tunney had to take while being on the air. Very interesting! Really fun reads! Thanks
