SNME is here! Let's do it!

Hart proves his worth as Z-man "proves" that he was the leading man in High Energy.

An impressive field for King of the Ring though I will say there's a clear final.

Warlord gets a highlight reel worthy moment slamming OMG but Power & Glory crash the victory party.

The King takes the cheap way to the #1 contender's spot.

Big moment for Tatanka as he gets the pin and Wahoo passes the torch.

Mr Backlund has Nailz primed for his first WWF match......in several months.

Taylor is looking to make to big moves in the WWF.

The undisputed tag titles will be residing in Nastyville.

SNME was really well done.  You had the announce team of Gorilla and Hayes down pat!  Some great matches that were really well done but I think you used SNME perfectly as it builds to other events.

The brackets look in favor of Flair for King of the Ring but can't wait to see how you see it.

Also, loved how Lawler wins the #1 contender's match and you get him and Tito into it right away!  That is going to be fun.

Great tag match to close out the night.  You do a nice job of giving us all the big moments in the match without overwhelming us with details and info which makes for a fun and easy read.  Love your format!

The go home show to SNME was a fun read. The promos were great and served their purpose in hyping up the event.

Warrior passing the torch to Titan was a huge moment. I liked the realistic behind the scenes depiction of this.

The WWF is definitely in a transition stage and I'm excited about the direction.

SNME time!

Hart is working wonders with Zenk. This win over Koko gives Zenk heel credibility and also gets his new finisher over

The KOTR brackets are set. I'm very curious with what happens with Jake and Andre. Meanwhile, Flair is fired up and more confident than ever.

Warlord gets a big time win over OMG but takes a brutal beating from Slick's army. Warlord may need some back up

I'll give it up to Lawler, the man knows how to get a win. I think him and Tito will have an intense program. Trust me, these two will deliver

Wahoo gets an emotional sendoff and deserves it. Loved that passing of the torch moment with Tatanka.

Wow, Backlund giving Nailz guidance will be must see TV. This is going to get crazy!

I've always loved heel Terry Taylor. He plays the arrogant heel so well.

After a chaotic match, the Nasties unify the titles. Welcome to Nastyville!

Great show! Can't wait for KOTR!

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. I’ve had some personal issues come up that delayed the return episode of Monday Night Raw, but I’ll have it up very soon.

There is growing backstage talk about Don Callis after an injury suffered at a recent house show. According to multiple sources, the injury occurred during a match against former WWF Superstar The Ultimate Warrior, where Callis reportedly took an awkward bump that resulted in a back issue. While details are still limited, it’s being said that the injury is not considered career-threatening, but enough to sideline him from in-ring competition for the time being.

At the same time, the WWF has quietly been searching for a younger voice to complement Gorilla Monsoon on commentary for the long term. There had been internal discussions about reaching out to other promotions to find someone who could grow into that role over the next few years. However, those plans appear to have changed very quickly.

Word is that Vince McMahon personally heard Callis during a commentary tryout session and was immediately impressed. Sources say Vince “fell in love” with Callis’ delivery and presence, to the point where there is now little interest in rushing him back into the ring. Instead, the current belief is that Callis could be groomed as a regular voice on television moving forward.

As for Callis himself, the situation is said to be mixed. On one hand, there is a feeling that he still has something to offer inside the ring, but on the other, the opportunity to be on television weekly in a high-profile role is something he understands is difficult to pass up. For now, it appears he is embracing the opportunity.

Callis is expected to be part of the debut era of Monday Night Raw, working alongside Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes as part of the broadcast team, signaling a potential long-term shift in his role within the company.

OOC:  Hopefully, you guys don’t mind me going in this direction. That’s honestly part of the fun with this kind of booking, taking guys and letting their careers play out a little differently. I wanted to explain the thinking behind it. I was watching some early 90s WWF and really enjoyed the Johnny Polo character, which we all know eventually leads to Raven. While I was figuring out my commentary team, it just clicked. Why not use Don Callis in a similar role? He isn't going to be Johnny Polo or The Jackyl, but I will find something for him.

Snuka shows he can still fly high after Andre walked out on him.

Lawler just sent his chances for winning the tile way up after that Piledriver.

Power & Glory are looking good but the Warlord has found himself a Dog to go into battle with.

Mr Backlund has Nailz on the path to true rehabilitation.

Looks like Hase & Sasaki decided they needed a master after all.

I've heard that Taylor's promos lagged behind his ring work but you've found a great voice for him.

Jake & Andre put Flair on notice.

The Titan closes the show on a huge moment as he becomes the first ever WWF TV champion.

Really enjoyable Raw re debut

I think Snuka still has a lot to offer and he proved it tonight with the superfly splash!

Tito and Lawler get some major heat going. The piledriver on the title was a great Raw moment

Warlord brings in JYD! This will be interesting. Maybe JYD can give Slick the big thump.

Loved all the promos tonight. Jimmy Hart sure does have a lot to brag about

Can Backlund pull off the impossible and rehabilitate Nailz

Gary Hart is assembling quite the army. No doubt he'll bring out Ronin's aggressive side to a whole new level. On a side note, I did like the Bart/Billy Jack tough man combo.

Loving the Taylor Made Man's vignettes. He plays this part soooooooo well

The intrigue with Flair, Snake and Andre is getting intense. I can't wait to see where this goes

Raw caps off the night with Titan holding the new TV title high. Props to you for building him into a star

Titan makes quick work of his first title defense. But Spivey represents a whole new level of danger.

The King and the Genius getting heat like only they can.

The First Family get the win even as Quake us distracted by Tugboat.

Whoever that is, they have to be important for Tunney to clear everyone out.

Valiant's gonna have a hard time dancing after being in the figure four. Roberts ruins the victory party by planting Ric with the DDT.

The Taylor Made Man is looking sharp in his debut.

Forget the American Dream, it's time for the WWF to experience Akeem the African Dream!

First, sorry for falling a little behind.

Great choice with Callis on the mic.

The first two RAW shows were great.  You seem to have so much going on but it all seems to be so well thought out.

So many great feuds are developing nicely....  Santana vs Lawler, the Warlord vs Slick, Snake and Flair.

Then you got some great alliances forming with Ronin and Hart, Backlund and Nailz and the First Family.

Very interested in the King of the Ring but more interested in the phone call that Jack Tunney had to take while being on the air.  Very interesting!

Really fun reads!  Thanks

Titan with an explosive win to kick off Raw. However, a very dangerous Dan Spivey clearly wants a title shot. Can't wait for this power match up.

I have to say, pure genius (pun intended) move aligning Lawler with the Genius. I'm sure all the fans are hoping Tito shuts both of them up. This feud has me hooked.

Tugboat goes toe to toe with Quake. We have another super showdown coming.

That must've been one important call for Tunney to shut everything down instantly.

Flair and Valiant give the fans a fun old school match. Things turn dark as Jake puts Flair down with the DDT!

Impressive debut for Mr. Taylor. I said this before but it's so much fun writing for him as an arrogant heel.

We get some great comedy as Akeem surfaces. JYD and Akeem as a team is pure gold.

OOC: Hey guys, I’ve come down with a pretty bad case of the flu, and my kids are sick too. On top of that, it’s finals week at my university, so I’ve got a lot going on right now. I’m going to keep this week’s Raw a bit lighter and just post quick results, but trust me, there are still some big things happening.

The Titan picked up another strong win, defeating Manny Fernandez to retain the WWF Television Championship. He’s starting to look more and more comfortable as champion, and right now nobody has been able to slow him down. Dan Spivey showed up at the end and made a motion for the title. These two are on a collision course.

Nailz, with Bob Backlund in his corner, continued to build momentum with another victory. Backlund’s influence is clearly changing Nailz, but there’s still that edge there that makes him dangerous every time he steps in the ring.

Tatanka and Dynamite Kid teamed up for an impressive win over The Ronin with Gary Hart. It was a big result, especially with The King of the Ring coming up, and it definitely shifts some attention toward both Tatanka and Dynamite Kid.

The Taylor Made Man kept things very calculated, paying off Bryan Clarke to take a countout loss. It wasn’t flashy, but it told you everything you need to know about him. He’s not here to fight fair, he’s here to win by any means necessary.

Outside of the matches, things continue to heat up between Slick’s Army and the group of Warlord, Junkyard Dog, and Akeem. This situation is far from over and feels like it’s only getting bigger each week.

Jerry “The King” Lawler once again went after WWF Champion Tito Santana, continuing to run him down and claim he deserves the title after what he did to him. That brought out WWF President Jack Tunney, who was clearly fed up. Tunney announced that at King of the Ring, there will be a special guest ring enforcer for the match. Lawler laughed it off, but Tunney made it clear he won’t be laughing next week when the name is revealed.

It was also announced that next week there will be a Battle Royal, with the winner earning a shot at Earthquake’s Intercontinental Championship at King of the Ring, which should make for a huge episode.

The show ended with a wild and unexpected moment.

Ric Flair came out and demanded Jake Roberts face him, but as Jake made his way to the ring, everything changed. A man dressed completely in black appeared out of nowhere and sprayed something directly into Jake’s face.

Jake dropped immediately, writhing in pain, while Andre rushed out to help him, and officials tried to get control of the situation.

Ric Flair stayed in the ring watching the whole thing unfold, and for once, he looked just as confused as everyone else. The attacker disappeared just as quickly as he showed up, leaving behind a lot of questions and a situation that just got a whole lot more dangerous. Raw closes with Jake on the entrance ramp, Andre screaming "HELP!" Ric Flair instantly having Jack Tunney in his face screaming "WHAT DID YOU DO!" Flair is pleading ignorance. Raw closes with the biggest question of all.

WHO ATTACKED Jake "The Snake" Roberts

Posted

Titan & Spivey are headed for a hell of a collision.

Mr Backlund has a firm grip on Nailz, for now.

The Ronin's first outing with Hart is unsuccessful.

Love the character work of Taylor paying his opponent off.

Always love a good battle royal.

Roberts is down, Flair is the prime suspect and there's about to be a pissed off giant that's about to make it everyone else's problem.

Hope you and your kids are feeling better.

Sometimes short shows are more useful then long ones and this might be the case here as everyone gets to focus on your last line!!

WHO ATTACKED Jake "The Snake" Roberts.....

Can't wait to find this one out!  I could see this as the cover to Pro Wrestling Illustrated back in the day!

Posted

Hope you and the family are feeling better.

This could be the beginning of an incredible TV title reign for Titan

Nailz and Backlund are such a deranged alliance. Brilliant idea pairing these two up. I can't wait to watch them sick their teeth into something big.

That's a huge win for Tatanka and Dynamite. They got my attention

I'll say this again, Taylor is nailing this gimmick

Slick's army has a fight coming real soon

Can't wait to find out who the special enforcer is. Doesn't look like things will go in the King's favor

Big opportunity for the battle royal winner.

Great way to end the show. Full of mystery, chaos and intrigue. Which means fans will be tuning in next week.

  • The show opens with a serious tone, as footage of the mysterious attack on Jake “The Snake” Roberts from the previous week is replayed. The camera cuts live to the ring where WWF President Jack Tunney stands alone with a microphone as the crowd murmurs.

Gorilla Monsoon: “We understand Jack Tunney has an important announcement regarding Jake Roberts and the King of the Ring.”

Don Callis: “This entire situation has shaken up the tournament.”

    image.png.3bee9025db8149088e25fd3720cc588f.png

Jack Tunney: “Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, I must begin tonight with troubling news concerning Jake Roberts. Following the attack last week, Jake Roberts suffered severe injuries to his eyes after being sprayed with an unknown substance by an unidentified individual.”

    [Tunney pauses.]

Jack Tunney: “Doctors have informed the World Wrestling Federation that Jake Roberts may never regain his vision. Jake Roberts may have made enemies during his career. He may have crossed lines. But nobody deserves what happened to him. Because of these injuries, Jake Roberts has officially been removed from the King of the Ring tournament. After careful consideration, I have selected the man who will replace him in the tournament…”

    [Short pause.]

    Jack Tunney: “Nailz.”

Don Callis: “That changes the entire tournament, Gorilla.”

Before Tunney can continue, Jerry “The King” Lawler’s music hits. Lawler storms out with The Genius beside him, already laughing as they walk to the ring.

    image.png.1fe9ba10cd39deecaabfeaef7d985e15.png

Jerry Lawler: “Oh, this is great! This is absolutely great!”

[Lawler steps into the ring, shaking his head.]

Jerry Lawler: “Jack Tunney, every week you come out here acting important, making announcements nobody cares about, but you still haven’t handled the one thing that matters!”

    [He points toward himself.]

Jerry Lawler: “The WWF Championship! Tito Santana is hurt, Tito Santana is weak, and at King of the Ring I’m taking that title anyway, so why don’t you just hand it over right now and save everybody the trouble?!”

The Genius: “A brilliant suggestion from a brilliant King!”

    Suddenly, the crowd erupts

Tito Santana charges to the ring.
    image.thumb.png.be0f4dc9e978b0284a98faf0cb69b68f.png

Tito tackles Lawler instantly and starts unloading with right hands as the crowd explodes. The Genius tries pulling Tito off, but Tito shoves him away and keeps after Lawler. The fight spills into the corner before Lawler and The Genius finally get the advantage, double-teaming Tito and stomping him down.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Come on! This is two on one!”

Lawler grabs the WWF Championship and holds it up mockingly before

    The Manhattan Center ERUPTS.

    Terry Funk

Storms to the ring, swinging wildly, throwing punches at Lawler and The Genius, backing both men out of the ring immediately. Lawler stumbles up the aisle screaming, while Funk stands in the ring, breathing heavily. The crowd roars as Tito slowly rises, clutching the championship. Tito and Funk lock eyes in a tense staredown, the WrestleMania history between them hanging in the air. Finally, Tito nods once and slowly backs away with the championship over his shoulder. Funk asks for a microphone.
    image.png.490a5d17fe277ceace308234dfdcfde4.png

Terry Funk: “WHOA WHOA WHOA, WAIT JUST A SECOND!”

[Funk is pacing now, wild eyes, hair a mess already, gripping the microphone tight.]

Terry Funk: “You people know me! You KNOW Terry Funk! I’ve been crazy! I’ve been violent! I’ve fought all over the world and half the time I didn’t even know WHY I was fightin’! And that’s the truth. I stepped away from this business for a little while because I had to look at myself… really LOOK at myself…”

[Funk points toward an imaginary mirror.]

Terry Funk: “And I looked in that mirror and saw a man that was angry… mean… outta control…AND I DIDN’T LIKE HIM! I didn’t like the man starin’ back at me and that scared me more than any match I’ve ever been in!”

    [Funk starts pacing again.]

Terry Funk: “Then Jack Tunney called me up… and he asked me if Terry Funk would come back to the World Wrestling Federation…”

    [He points to himself.]

Terry Funk: “Not to wrestle… not to fight… but to keep ORDER!”

    [Funk starts laughing wildly.]

Terry Funk: “Can you believe that?! Terry Funk… keepin’ order?! But I told Jack Tunney yes sir, I’ll do it! Because at King of the Ring, I’m gonna be the special guest ring enforcer! And Jerry Lawler… you listen to me, you greasy little weasel…”

[Funk points up the aisle furiously.]

Terry Funk: “You try any funny business… any cheap shots… any of that Memphis garbage…”

    [Funk slaps his own chest.]

Terry Funk: “And I swear on my life, I will beat you up all over that arena! This thing is gonna be called right down the middle because Terry Funk finally wants to do somethin’ RIGHT for once in his life!”

[Funk’s eyes go wide as he leans over the ropes.]

Terry Funk: “And if you don’t like it, Burger King…”

    [Wild grin.]

    Terry Funk: “…TOUGH!”

Just to start off, I really loved this format.  I know everybody is different but for me, it is the promos that make the shows and you nailed it!  Tunney... Lawler... Funk... perfect set up for the big match.

And your match results were quick with the added info like when Andre came in fuming and took out all 4 men.

Great job and really looking forward to the King of the RIng!
