Loss Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Vote for the wrestler that you think had the better career in WWE (whether you base that on impact or match quality is your decision), from 1985 to 2005. Voting will end tomorrow morning at the latest. Please give the wrestler's name first and any explanation thereafter. Thanks. *Winner will face Hulk Hogan in next round.*
Guest Mac Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Michaels. both had a negative impact on the business during their period at the top but i'll go with Michaels for the better matches.
Marty Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Shawn Michaels Both guys are or have been selfish assholes, both guys never drew when they were alone at the top, both guys are average at best on the mic, both guys sucked the life out of MSG at WM XX and both guys are really overrated by many people in terms of their working ability, at least these days. I do have to give the edge to Michaels because he has had far, far, FAR better matches than HHH, dating back to the Rockers' days as well as instances during his singles' time. Hunter has never had a match that is anywhere near Michaels' best.
Loss Posted May 13, 2005 Author Report Posted May 13, 2005 Shawn Michaels All things equal (and most things are), Michaels smokes HHH in the ring, and Shawn had to carry the company when no one else was around who had any type of star power, where HHH had all sorts of big names around him. And they're still at equal footing, despite that? Yeah, HBK is the easy pick here.
goodhelmet Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Talk about your Satan v. Beelzebub matchup. HBK
Guest Some Guy Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 HBK. Shawn is more over (now and when he was younger), a better worker (now and when he was younger), a better talker (or atleast was in his prime), and basically made HHH into an upper mid-carder before Foley shot him into the ME scene to stay.
Coffey Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Triple H, HHH, The Game, Hunter Heart Helmsley, H?, The Cerebral Assassin Wow, I thought this one would be more interesting. It looks like we've got another blow-out on our hands though. I remember liking D-X. It was for both HBK & HHH. Then HBK bolted and we had HHH with The Outlaws and X-Pac. I still liked D-X. So, I think that Hunter gets the nod there. I liked Triple H's match with Foley better than HBK's Mindgames match with Foley. I think Hunter gets the nod there. Hunter pulls all the political shit but he didn't throw tantrums like HBK did. At least not on-screen so that it breaks kayfabe and shit. I liked HBK better on the mic before he became all religious. Now he's just bland but more than capable of still putting on great matches. I never liked the Rockers, which also seems to be against the grain. :-/ My favorite HBK moment was when he threw Marty out the Barbershop window. Either that or his match with H? when they were running in slow motion and shit. Triple H has a lot of moments that I like. From matches to skits. Remember The Crock? That shit was hilarious! I liked his feud with Foley. I like some of his matches with The Rock, like their ladder match. Not like HBK didn't have matches that I liked. I liked his WMX ladder match with Razor and the rematch at Summerslam. He had a good match against Savage in '92 as well. Hell, he won his first ever IC title in my rinky-dink town. I think I'm giving the nod to Hunter though and I know I'll be in the minority. This was the hardest vote for me so far.
Guest Alfdogg Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Shawn Michaels Again, I suppose I *have* to vote for one of them.
