Loss Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Vote for the wrestler that you think had the better career in WWE (whether you base that on impact or match quality is your decision), from 1985 to 2005. Voting will end tomorrow morning at the latest. Please give the wrestler's name first and any explanation thereafter. Thanks. *Winner will face Randy Savage in next round.*
Guest Mac Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Smith. It's a tossup so i'll go with my fellow countryman.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Davey Boy Smith It pains me to vote against Roberts, but DBS has one of the most well-rounded WWF careers in the tournament.
Marty Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Davey Boy Smith Longer career in the WWF, better matches, and Smith never had a run in 1996 that had him in a storyline covering his history of alcohol.
Loss Posted May 13, 2005 Author Report Posted May 13, 2005 Davey Boy Smith Jake is a far, far better character and was probably way more effective on top as well, but Davey Boy had a longer, more consistent run and had better matches.
goodhelmet Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 THis sin't even close. Davey smokes Jake in everything except "better heel". Davey Boy Smith
Guest KingPK Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Davey Boy Smith Though I didn't really think he'd get quite THIS far.
Guest Some Guy Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 DBS. I found Jake to be more entertaining but Davey Boy stuck around a lot longer and had much better matches.
Coffey Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Jake "The Snake" Roberts When Jake would talk, I got chills. I can only say the same about Hulk Hogan. He also made me a DDT mark. He didn't have a lot of great matches but he had a great character. I liked the Bulldog's IC run.
Mad Dog Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Davey Boy Smith Longer career and he actually held titles when it meant something.
