  2. Bulldogs
  3. Bulldogs.
  4. Bulldogs. I'm a fan of the Express but the Bulldogs just have more of that wow factor for me.
  5. Bulldogs. I like their offence better.
  6. For the record, Kyoko and Takako aren't sisters. They just have the same last name.
  7. I dont' feel like being negative at all today so everything here's going to be pretty positive Booker T -- Can still go. Tito Santana -- I've always been a fan of Santana. He brought energy to the ring and I just love the flying forearm. I loved cheering for him just because he lost so much of the time. One of the original wrestlers where I was frustrated with for having more talent than his push. See also Bret Hart although he escaped out of it. Jun Akiyama -- Great wrestler. One of the top dogs in All Japan but a little bit below those aforementioned top dogs. Necro Butcher -- Only seen him take some insane botched bumps against Samoa Joe. Has a look to him. Hulk Hogan -- What more can be said? Uh, I was always frustrated with Hogan growing up but in saying that I'm slightly a fan of his formula in the ring and will pop a Hulk Hogan tape in the VCR every once in awhile. I'll never forget being in the arena when he was putting his hand to his ear looking for crowd support. Everybody was up on their feet going insane except for me. Yup, I was the only one in the arena I could see sitting down. Tremendous charisma and the most well know name in wrestling history. Can work matches when he wants to. Mike Awesome -- Like his power and his tope. Kyoko Inoue -- Loaded with charisma and I'm a fan of that although that charisma is geared more to other people than to me. More energetic than most of the other wrestlers. "Panama" is a great song for her ring entrance. Fuerza Guerrera -- Seen him wrestle but I'm not familiar enough with him to comment The Rock -- Charisma is off the charts and he makes wrestling fun for the masses to watch. Hate that he mocks wrestling with the people's elbow for a cheap pop. Some of his moveset is annoying but besides that he's pretty good in the ring. Edge -- Like the Rock he's a better wrestler as a face.

  9. Oh man, this is the closest choice yet. I am completely torn here. Their roles were different. The Rockers were more hit and run while the Steiners were more aggresive in your face "I'm going to take your head off of your shoulders tonight". Now a match between the two would've freaking ruled everything. As far as ring safety overall goes I'd have it give to the Rockers. As far as overall top matches go I'd give it to the Steiners. The Rockers had some great ones but the Steiners matches have had more of a lasting effect on me. A lot of its due to my love of aggresive wrestling. As far as moveset goes I reluctantly give it to the Steiners. Their finishers were a lot better than say the double fist drop although in the Rockers defence a be all end all finisher move wouldn't have fit their style and what made them exciting to a degree. Arrgghh! The Rockers had better mid range double team offence though on the opposite side of the coin that wouldn't have fit the Steiners' style either. I'm going with the STEINER BROTHERS
  10. Edge -- Hulk Hogan as well. Big time fanJericho -- Big fan of Owen Hart and the British Bulldogs. He was even a Benoit fan!
  11. I can't wait. All reports are coming in as very positive. Let's just hope they don't clip it. From wrestlingobserver.com --From several reports from last night, the Chris Benoit vs. William Regal match as the main event for Saturday night's Velocity was among the best WWE TV matches on any show in a long time.
  12. Just wanted to say that Jericho may have had the best quote of all time in the history of anything last night when he defended his coolness by saying he way Canadian.
  13. Road Warriors.
  14. I haven't watched the Blondes in awhile but I will say I'm one of their biggest fans. The two matches off the top of my head that I reccomend are the Computer Challenge match against Scorpio/Bagwell on Worldwide and the title switch on Worldwide against Douglas and Steamboat. Both are great.
  15. DYNAMITE KID/DUKE MYERS/GREAT GAMA/DANNY DAVIS/HUEBERT GALLANT vs BRET HART/BRUCE HART/DAVEY BOY SMITH/MR. HITO/KEITH HART 10 MAN ELIMINATION TAG 1981 Stampede abouts Eliminations can take place not only over by pinfall, submission, disqualifaction or countout but by throwing your opponent over the top rope. We only see a couple of minutes of action where we than proceed to cut away until the 30 minute mark where it's Davey and Bret vs Dynamite/Myers and Gama. The action in this is just great. It's your typical very rough Stampede match with great work ethic and the electric crowd they had at the time. You even had your typical Stampede blood on the mat from a previous bout. Dynamite just brings such an electric spark to his matches and here it's no different. His segments in the ring are full of excitement and its his bumping at the end of this which ends up being one's biggest memory from this bout. Bret and Davey finally come back after being beaten for a while and just take it to DK and Myers who are the tag champs. DK and Myers just end up leaving and it's due to DK's bumping that this ending is completely believable. Part 1 of Bret Hart's attack -- Dynamite does his trademark upside down flip bump into the turnbuckles and it's one of the most awesome things I've ever seen in wrestling. The heigth was amazing and the speed was out of this world. So much so that I had to rewind it over 5 times with my jaw hitting the floor each time so fast that I almost knocked myself out. There's nobody in wrestling who could've duplicated that. Part 2 -- Bret Hart irish whips DK across the ring into an awating Davey Boy Smith who hits DK on the run with a shoulderblock from the top rope. Full contact. This stuff is occuring in 1981 -82 North America mind you. Part 3 -- Davey Boy slingshots DK into Bret Hart's foot who's in the corner turnbuckle. The height and the timing here were great as this looks like a legit knock out move. Terrific bump. Part 4 -- DK eats one of those piledrivers that Bret loves to do. Yeah, so Dynamite was the ultimate punching bag here and is definitely the best bumper I've ever seen. His timing and athletic ability were just incredible and they helped make the ending of this match a memoarable one. The more you see of Dynamite the more you understand why he ended up being in a wheelchair. This was just a few minutes of one day of about a 38 minute match. The bumping he was doing in Stampede was insane.
  16. And he's not just talking, I saw him actually do it in a match with Undertaker in 1992. WHere did Bret say this at? I'd like to hear or read that interview.

  18. I only watched about 4/5ths of it as I was starting to get burnt out after watching too much wrestling last night. It was pretty good and the crowd was right into Jim Breaks heel charactor. The kid he was wrestling was only 17 years old. Myers vs Grey was really interesting. I know some people won't like the flow overall in this one but it still has to be checked out by everyone because of the technique, speed, timing, counters, various wrestling holds, comedy spots and some really sweet wrestling sequences. Lots of intelligent stuff going on in the ring. Myers was a natural athelete/wrestler who just belonged in the square circle. Definitely has to be seen.
  19. I don't really have anything to say. I just want to say thanks for everyone for posting all sorts of informative, interesting interviews here. Behind the scenes of wrestling is sometimes more entertaining than what goes on in the ring.
  20. Hart Foundation My favourite double team manuevers ever come from the Foundation. The best of the Harts I'll take over the best of the Hardys Fabulous Freebirds Heavenly Bodies Brainbusters
  21. There's a Jim Breaks match over at dathvalley in the downloads section. It's in the World of Sport re-ups again. I watched it last night along with a Clive Myers vs Steve Grey match.
  22. Hip hop doesn't fit in with wrestling at all. There's nothing I hate more than hearing hip hop music when I'm watching wrestling. Do you guys realise how many people actually don't like hip hop music? As far as music goes Japan traditionally does it does the right way. Yeah, it would cost a fortune over here to do what they do but it's something I would spend a lot of money on. Truly good music everyone can relate to. These are some things I'd do: About the squash matches -- NO! NO! NO! or at least not too much of them on the card. I do not want to go back to the way it was in the past. I think people forget how uneventful all those squashes are. Burn the whole WWE to the ground and start over. Do whatever I can to get rid of that horrible name and do whatever I can to get the WWF name back. If that's not possible than I'm swithching it to something better as quickly as possible. I'd definitely change or alter the style though I'm not too sure on where I'd go with it. Even the "best" style ever of All Japan over and over again (which is partly why I think All Japan started more non selling stuff towards the end of the 90s) is the same style over and over again. What you need is some variety but also a good base style or two that the fans can connect with and become familiar with. The juniors would be treated with a lot more respect and prominence although I feel I'm just repeating what everyone else is saying here. Once in awhile I'd let a heavyweight beat some of the lower tier juniors but if there are junior wrestlers that have something special which allows them to compete with the heavys than I would showcase that. HIre RavishingRickRudo as a booker. Television shows would go no longer than a hour and a half. Anything more than that and you're starting to push the envelope on the viewers' attention span. You're also going to make it harder on the bookers Get rid of nonsensical backstage camera work. Yes, it's a diversion of that "boring" wrestling but it's the ultimate kayfabe breaker. Eh, gotta go now.

  24. World Grand Prix Wrestling. I'm just curious if anyone's ever watched it before. This was a Maritime league and around Nova Scotia there were mainly two leagues people knew about back in the day. The WWF and World Grand Prix Wrestling. It's fun to hear people around me talk stories about the league but besides kayfabe memories there's nobody around on the internet who really knows anything. Not even the ultra hardcores. Hardly any footage of this stuff is available at all and I don't even know if it's possible to obtain footage of it. Still, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen it before. The reported hardest ring in wrestling, the Cuban Assasin, "Big" Steven Pettipas, the Beast, Leo Burke and Rip Rogers. Names that were around when I was watching it. WP -- Thinks it's pretty cool that Dynamite and Andre the Giant were actually in my small town once before and would have had to have travelled the same roads around NS I have. Yeah, and I also missed out on a chance to see the British Bulldogs wrestling 5 miles away from my house because as a 13 year old I was too skeptical and already believed that the guys wrestling here would have to be imposters and could never possibly be the Bulldogs.
  25. IT's been said before but Andre the Giant could really go before his growth hormone disease overtook him. Just seen him bumping around and hitting a tombstone piledrvier along with a military press into a gutbuster in IWE. The match in particular was a lot of fun and a high percentage of that was due to Andre. Andre's one of my favourite wrestlers to watch.
