The Thread Killer

So the “IWC” seems to be abuzz today with the theory that Heyman is forming a new Dangerous Alliance, which some people speculate will include some call-ups from NXT. Supposedly the idea behind this concept is to help elevate some fresh talent into the main event picture. If it’s done correctly, I’m definitely there for it. That may be my nostalgia for the original Dangerous Alliance, but the bottom line is I’m a lot more excited about that idea than I am about seeing Cena vs Orton in 2025.

I don’t disagree with you, Triple H treated a lot of people like crap when he was just “talent” and I think that reputation and some of the damaged relationships resulting from it, probably come back to bite him on a fairly regular basis. Having said that, I have seen both him and CM Punk mention several times over the last year or so how they have been able to basically start fresh in their relationship. And those two had a terrible relationship. They both openly admit they did not like each other at all. Punk has talked about how the first conversation he had with Triple H before he came back, Triple H basically said to him that he was not the same person he was 10 years ago, and he assumed the same of Punk. They started over, and by all accounts the relationship is quite good now. I have no doubt that The Rock isn’t really interested in mending fences with Paul Levesque for two reasons, firstly he probably holds a grudge and secondly, he doesn’t have to mend fences because he has so much power now. I’m sure he enjoys sticking it to Triple H.

Oh, and for the record, I have no sympathy, nor do I particularly favour either guy. Anybody who saw that Wrestlemania documentary they released last year knows that The Rock tried to do the exact same thing with WM40 that he did with DC entertainment during the whole Black Adam fiasco. He basically bigfooted his way into the middle of the situation and tried to commandeer the creative. I have no doubt he wanted to do the same thing this year and it’s only because Cody put his foot down and said he wasn’t going to turn heel that it didn’t happen. And then the ultimate irony is that the fans ended up turning on Cody anyways.

It’s so obvious that there is still a ton of animosity between The Rock and Triple H. I actually watched Triple H’s entire 1 hour and 7 minute HOF speech, during which he thanked pretty much everybody he ever worked with, including a bunch of backstage guys I had never heard of. He talked about his greatest rivalries and singled out Mick Foley and The Undertaker (as he should) but to the best of my recollection, he did not mention The Rock, in any capacity, not once during the entire speech.

Apparently he claimed on the McAfee show this morning that he got a hair transplant, and in true heel fashion he managed to find a way to blame the fans for it.

She takes a decent bump, that should be enough to earn an NIL contract at least. Or maybe she is just hoping to sue for enough to recoup however much a ringside seat at Wrestlemania cost her, that was probably a couple of million, easy. Better Call Saul!

There definitely seems to be a large contingent of fans booing Cody, and cheering Cena.

Looks like Cena either got hairplugs or one of those adhesive rugs. His bald spot seems to have mostly disappeared.

Man he was hauling ass on that 4 Wheeler. I’m not surprised he crashed into the barrier. Plus, he was probably drunk lol

Yeah the dude is just a natural. It amazes me how comfortable and smooth he looks in there, considering the amount of experience he has.

That went pretty much how I expected, but it was fun.

That I/C match was just…wow. I don’t know what was crazier, the result or the reaction it got.

I’m generally not a huge fan of WWE plunder matches, but that was about as good as you can expect to get. Fact is, Priest is probably better off in matches like that. And as I said, McInyre can’t do much wrong in my eyes. I liked the ending spot.

McIntyre is great as a heel, he’s been doing such awesome work the past couple of years.

Damn, that was a good match. That’s how you open Wrestlemania and get the crowd riled up.

Honestly, I don’t get their beef with Bianca either. I know the announcers keep playing up the fact that Belair cost Rhea the title, but she really didn’t.

Yeah they booed the shot of him walking into the building. I guess the honeymoon is officially over.

Damn, Reigns is ripped.

He was never any good and he still isn’t any good and Pat McAfee manages to make him even worse if that’s even possible.

So Rey is officially out and Fenix is officially in, and Bayley is out of her match as well.
