Regardless of Matt D's mocking of my grand Sunshine idea, I would like to also add that I did not draft Jose because he is a "star" and definitely not because of what he can do for me in the ring. He plays a big part in my El Gran Apollo plans and I was hard pressed to think of anyone who fit better for the idea.

I have always believed that "wrestling is a male soap opera" is a perfectly valid description of wrestling when it is GOOD. The main focus of my writing is going to be on telling stories that play out over weeks and months and slowly progress on my TV show and thru the results of the arena cards. Spent way more time thinking about how to develop my characters than what matches I am going to put on my arena cards.

Burrhead definitely popped back up again later even if he was off the radar at this time. I remember being baffled at how over he was for a jobber watching 1986 Continental and having to ask someone the story on his history there.

I think one of the bookers in waiting like rainmaker or LowBlowPodcast should do it. If Jesse has just lost interest they are the ones who will be taking that roster.

I am sticking to my 1 hour TV show (which may wind up being really long when I write it down) and then just having match lineups for all of my loop except for San Antonio where I'll do a recap of the results and anything important.

I have absolutely no plans to do a double shot right now haha

KrisZ question: What promotion(s) regularly had 2 hour wrestling shows? I know there was at least one I read about and can't remember now but surely there was another with a small roster who didn't do regular 3 hour shows with an intermission.

Al Tomko is fucking inescapable, he just "drops by" on commentary on all the matches I've watched so far. And he is a terrible speaker. I now understand all the Al Tomko hate I have read over the years. Vancouver is also it's very own special brand of wrestling it would seem.

Ok this name is obscure enough that no one should get upset: What is up with Randy Rich? I found one youtube video of him and they are playing him up as a cousin of Tommy Rich from Marietta, GA (which I strongly suspect is bullshit but he DOES look way more like Tommy than Johnny Rich does) but there is no way he is really related and he's so obscure that he is not even on WrestlingData or Cagematch At this point if I inspire someone to use an obscure name then good. Maybe Boon will be inspired to add to The Rich family in Southeastern.

I tried to tell dedhemingway that Rufus was way more important to Central States than the Dewey Robertsons or even the Buzz Tylers of the world. Also, my message to everyone: tighten up and give someone a few names to make your next pick if you aren't going to make the 5 hour time limit.
