  1. What is "success"? There isn't going to be any metric to tell what is and isn't "drawing" or anything like that. Success for me will be able to keep things moving in San Antonio if this project lasts long enough for me to get through the first 8 months of planned angles & storylines. And making Duggan & The Fabs work as the top 2 babyfaces of a small territory without getting stale matchups. I already have a trade deal finished in principle that takes care of a lot of my Duggan needs. Hell I even got an angle planned out for Mike Jackson that I love. One person I told hated it, the other liked it so I guess it'll get a mixed reaction when it takes place.
  2. Having a small territory is really a benefit in this. I will never even consider making a split crew card. Without looking over all the rosters again, I feel Florida might be best situated right now for doing split crew shows.
  3. I'm still trying to think of a plan for Tamba el Elefante Volador so I can justify drafting him.
  4. Don't anyone project your roster doubts onto Southwest. I'm quite happy with what I have after Duggan/Manny, Saito/Khan deals and have about 8 months of stuff outlined with all the pieces I have. Parv complaining about Rick McGraw going after writing his name about 100 times is also rich.
  5. How about Tank Patton? Wrestlingdata.com has him wrestling on a card in Toronto in October 83 under a masked gimmick Big Mac. I don't know if he was retired or off the radar. Last thing from Southwest under the Tank Patton name is from January, 82. http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bilanzen&wrestler=7246&jahr=1983&monat=10
  6. We should make sure Wahoos Leg knows in case he needs to set up a proxy.
  7. I don't really like their decision to base so many of their decisions on merchandise but I don't know if I can really fault them. At the end of the day the company is supposed to make as much money as it can. T-shirts have way a much bigger profit margin than live events & The Network.
  8. But he's a youngster with fire in his belly and dreams in his heart! I can't send him to New York (or Allentown, PA) just for you to crush them. Offer regretfully rescinded.
  9. I can throw in Mike Jackson and give you 2 young studs? Actually he may have been under the 27 year age limit in 1983. Didn't start until 1979...can't find a birth date.
  10. Mike Jackson is good enough that I could actually put him on arena cards and expect the match to not suck. I don't know if I can say that about almost any of the other guys I have on my possible jobbers list. That pushed him up higher than role players that will be in my mid card because I had started to worry about filling out a whole lineup on a card. I have a super jobber tag team for him too if someone falls far enough.
  11. If this is the first day of the 5 hour time limit, we will hit it and probably at 11:30.
  12. Unless I fucked up the snake: JerryvonKramer Wahoos Leg El Boricua Grimmas
  13. Southwest Championship Wrestling selects: 'Volerdermort' aka Mike Jackson
  14. You know what I do need jobbers. Voldermort it is.
  15. Everyone I keep wanting for the role is gone. My talk of making Don Bass the #2 was simply a bluff until I decided to announce the share deal on Dirty Rhodes & Bass as a team. I need some time to think on this pick. Need to weigh my wants and needs. I won't even get into the stupid idea someone gave me to make Steele the #2 Assassin
  16. Can I make Mike Davis an Assassin #2? That is really going to be the deciding factor. Don't think he's big enough though.
  17. You might want to edit your post people get awful upset about that name in here.
  18. Mike Davis
  19. There is a big difference in my list of guys that I know, or even like based on limited sampling and the guys I can draft. I mean, I like the guy who worked in Mexico as a fake Abby played for comedy but I don't know how to book him. I don't want to have a low rent fake Abby in a territory that actually drew money with Abby.
  20. I still support the WWF and gave you the youngest guy on my roster (I think. I can't find his birthdate)
  21. It is true, to an extent. I believe you may be pushing the boundaries.
  22. Are you taking Gene Kiniski next?
  23. Flair's last GREAT year. Hogan in 93 was really good?
