I don't know if the steam has come out of the draft a little now that all the obvious big names and favorites are gone, or if it's just a slow day. I will say that I am STOKED to get Killer Khan for two months. I didn't take him although I really wanted to because he's somewhat hard to keep fresh as a week to week guy but 2 months of Killer Khan means he gets to be as blood thirsty and destructive as he can be.

I kind of want to make a post in my Southwest Championship thread that copies the TEW "Ownership Directives" thing and lays out some goals that Joe Blanchard has told me I must accomplish but that may be going too far.

I don't have enough fat dudes who I can put under masks is what I am saying. Jody Hamilton, Dirty Rhodes & Don Bass aren't enough for my booking style. I would like to share my comedy option idea for an Assassin #2 but I still would actually like to draft him if he falls really really far so I won't give his name away.

I'm pretty much just saying, I am more drafting to fill needs than taking the most talented guys left. In fact, I have quite a few shitty wrestlers left that I will be targeting.

Brett Wayne Sawyer was also quite high on my board for talent left out there but he didn't really fit a need and I probably wouldn't have drafted him for another 3-4 rounds if he'd stayed out there. He's a great Portland pick though as I know he had more success there than anywhere else.

It sounds so nefarious when you say scheme...almost as if someone would be whispering about the benefits of wrestling in New York in their ear while they're up there. I will now be forced to spend the remainder of my day talking Joe Blanchard out of telling El Gran Apollo he has to wear a wire in the WWF locker room.

Joe Blanchard feels that El Gran Apollo is a talent worthy of being seen on Superstars along with Challenge but I have advised him that this deal is perfectly fine for all of us. As long as El Gran Apollo receives the first class travel arrangements that Southwest requires any time one of it's contracted wrestlers will be appearing for another promotion.

I will advise Joe to have patience and give the WWF at least another 24 hours to put out it's press release.

This does not effect Mr. Saito's previously agreed upon date with Stampede for July, 7th. Joe Blanchard strives to be a man of his word and made sure to clear this date with Maple Leaf Wrestling before the deal was finalized.

Joe Blanchard is slightly miffed that the WWF has yet to announce it's latest deal with Southwest Championship Wrestling. Joe feels that this may be a slight on him and his talent if the WWF is not happy publicly announcing their latest agreement. He will be monitoring this situation closely.

I would not assume anything about Jesse wanting in. Not ragging on him, but he hasn't posted a lot in this and may just be looking to do his own roster and nothing more.

But why do they need him to be cheered? It's not affecting his ability to make money and there are still always loud "Let's go Cena" chants during his big matches even if the "Cena sucks" chants are louder. I think they are totally right to not mess with what works with Cena.

At this point I've gotten almost all my "man I really want him!" picks so I'm less anxious about getting to my next pick. I still would like to get a really good Assassin #2. I may have to work out a trade deal instead for him as my first Assassin #2 is probably only a 3 month guy anyway.
