I wouldn't argue for Apollo there really. Tom had been wrestling a lot at that point even if he wasn't very high on the card. I probably could have found a better comparison to make Apollo look better like Rotunda. Question for Boricua or Dylan: Is Apollo too big to use as a Light Heavyweight? Some pictures he looks thicker than others.

One of my favorite things in TEW is to take a brand new guy who looks like they might be able to make some money eventually and slowly build them up from scratch. El Gran Apollo gives me the chance to do that like some people may envision doing with Tom Pritchard or Tim Horner but Southwest had slightly different needs than the standard white meat babyface. He was probably, and this is from limited viewing, further along than Horner was in July, 1983 also. Not sure on Tom Pritchard.

Would you take El Gran Apollo? I am fine with a clean first round loss, Joe Blanchard just wants to get the kid some exposure. Having watched some matches I legitimately do not think it's crazy to push him as the 3rd or 4th babyface act in a promotion as small as Southwest was. I was trying to be somewhat realistic before just taking him because "well he's young and speaks Spanish"

Perhaps I will simply run 2 hour wrestling shows at the arena. In and out. Someone used to do that I think but I can't remember who.

I hate watching Killer Brooks. I think he's the shits and I have written that on this board a few times. That said, he was still on my list and this is getting tough.

I less minded the finisher kick outs themselves but it did cause the ending to feel flat. There was all this drama and then it didn't feel like it properly paid off.

We are now at the point where almost every person taken is a name off my list. I'm down to about 40 people I could see myself drafting, none of whom are really "sleepers" and are likely to keep going one by one. I have no idea what I will be doing in round 15 or 16. I have all the pieces to do the angles and feuds I want but actually putting together a full card may prove more difficult than I had thought.

Houston is a bit of an odd ball in that it didn't have any of it's own talent. It booked guys from other territories. It might create an interesting dynamic of who is and isn't willing to send talent to Houston on Friday nights. I think you are probably going to get a PM from someone offering to let you run their territory though.

Yea I am really behind on WWE right now because I got a bit stuck in 1983. That said, I just watched Owens/Cena and I really liked it. But my feelings on it could be summed up by this: I also thought there was a huge difference between Lawler calling this match and like 99% of his other announcing stuff these days. He must be an Owens fan.

Obviously Duggan is the perfect fit for Portland, I can't see any problems with it. You should do a 50/50 with me on Duggan & Embry.
