  1. If Rollins can't do the Curb Stomp I like him stealing the Pedigree. I am surprised the finish didn't go down with "Kane chokeslams everyone and puts Rollins on top" I didn't pay any attention to the match though, I got sucked into the rabbit hole that is the "Dylan compares everyone to HHH" thread.
  2. Section B, Article 5: "Skoaland Clause." No white towel was thrown, not official. Match is under review and the Cena/Rusev feud will continue another 4 months.
  3. The TNAMecca people are beyond delusional and have been giving him a TON of shit on twitter. You'd think Dave would just block them or something but I can see where it would get frustrating for him to constantly be accused of saying things he didn't say and being negative about a product that he genuinely likes and praises. Here are a couple of tweets with Dave engaging his trolls: https://twitter.com/davemeltzerWON/...026804376604672 https://twitter.com/davemeltzerWON/...032731607609344
  4. Well, technically the actual words "I Quit" are supposed to said in an I Quit match. Yea but the whole story after the match is that "Austin never said I quit!" This was also pre-tap outs so it would have been a verbal submission anyway. To get super nerdy about it, there's nothing in the rules that allows your manager/valet/girlfriend to quit for you either. At least not in the wrestling rulebook that I was issued.
  5. I think the difference between a Submission match and an I Quit match is kind of splitting hairs. It's like arguing the difference between a Falls Count Anywhere match and a Street Fight.
  6. I'm sorry but Monsoon & Ventura never did quite hash out the legality of using a gun in a wrestling match despite being outside of the ring so I can't use that extrapolate out whether it'd be acceptable in a No DQ match. The New Day backstage bit with them drinking milk out of wine glasses and touching pinkies was great.
  7. Ken Shamrock was just an amateur he didn't know all the rules! He's no Senior Referee Mike Chioda.
  8. That was way too much like the Umaga finish, although it really was a long time ago now. I also didn't like the replay of the Bragging Rights 09 pyro spot. The match was really good though, not sure if I put it above the FastLane match but definitely better than their last 2 encounters. I didn't like the finish but I guess it doesn't totally kill Rusev by having him actually quit. I don't look forward to them splitting Rusev & Lana though.
  9. God that was fucking stupid. "Hey if you don't quit I'm going to run into you and tell you so you have 30 seconds to look stupid for not moving" EDIT: They haven't learned their lesson about the Alabama Slam either. And we're selling a laptop more than steel chairs get sold these days.
  10. That was the most awkward fallaway slam I've ever seen.
  11. I know, I know, I shouldn't be bumping old threads but this is priceless gem and I wish it wasn't so jacked up by formatting now.
  12. I guess you're right it's really just Barrett/Neville, the Divas tag and the Four Way title match left. Somewhat questionable match order tonight.
  13. I have felt that way after every Cena/Rusev match they've stuck in the early part of the show but they've gotten shown up every time so far so we'll see. Not much left to challenge it though since they've already run the tag title match.
  14. Got distracted with Road Runner cartoons in case I have to add to my list. Seems like I'm gonna have to go back and watch the first hour tomorrow or later tonight. I'm ready for the I Quit match though!
  15. I'm not making it up: https://twitter.com/davemeltzerWON/status/600051780722958336
  16. I would much rather see these guys feuding over the IC title rather than "hey I'm gonna stick your face in my butt!" As far as "Who will win MITB?" goes I wish NO ONE would. I think the gimmick is super played out but I realize it's not going anywhere.
  17. I know everyone is sick of him but Kane vs. Roman Reigns from this past SD was really fun. Best Kane match in I don't even know how long.
  18. The problem is he was really un-over after the Miz feud. I kind of predicted early into the Mizdow thing that he was going to die off as soon as he stopped being Fake Miz. I mean there were months of people speculating/fantasy booking what to do with him after the split with Miz and none of it was ever more detailed than "make him a serious character and give him a midcard belt"
  19. I don't think you'll have long to wait for the 2nd part, I'm almost certain they are building towards Rollins "retiring" Kane once they actually wrestle.
  20. Main event spoiler: Rollins is about to be pinned, Kane comes in and chokeslames someone (everyone?) and puts Rollins on top for the pin. Then he quits The Authority on Raw and challenges Rollins for EC.
  21. I think if they keep them together it's not going to be good for Sandow because Axel is doing the "tribute" thing way better than him right now.
  22. I don't get Sandow or the love for him. Like I understand that he was over being Fake Miz but not every act that gets a good reaction means "this is main event material!"
  23. Stardust is a pointless character because they completely dropped the angle with Goldust. I have no idea why I expected them to do that well but I thought there was so much potential there. "Cody gets lost in his wrestling character and his brother tries to save him from going down a road he's all too familiar with" is a good story.
  24. Yep those were the ones I was thinking of. I was disappointed with the quality of Cena/Rusev II but the entrances were so fucking epic and it definitely had a big match feel, even if the work doesn't even stack up to the best stuff Cena has been doing in the U.S. Title open challenge.
  25. I think part of the problem is that guys are going TOO hard on Raw & SD now. Very rarely do PPV matches feel better than a really good TV match. I mean there have been maybe 5 matches this whole year that had a "big match" feel to it. To me,a big part of being a main event talent is the ability to make your big matches stand out from the pack. Right now the best guy at doing that on PPV is Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins is having better TV matches than on PPV at this point, which is the mark of a great midcard talent, not a great World Champ.
