  1. How do you build a retirement match around a guy who was only wrestling once a year to defend his Streak, which is now broken? I just don't think there is anything left in the tank.
  2. That's my point. You can still watch the Network on your TV without it coming through your cable or satellite company. I guess if you're stuck in an area without a way to get good internet connection it could be a problem. But there's no way the Network through cable would be as cheap with as much content, and definitely not include the PPVs.
  3. It's kind of mind boggling to me that I still read people ON THE INTERNET complain about how they don't want to watch the Network on their computers or on their phone and they wish WWE would just work something out with the cable companies.
  4. I would hope they find some way to slow burn Lesnar/Bryan until SummerSlam with Lesnar beating Cena somewhere between then. Would be a smart time to do it, right as everyone has to decide whether or not to renew their Network subscription. Their ability to sell a Lesnar/Bryan match is another reason I just kind of laugh at people saying the 600,000+ number is the best the Network can do and it's all downhill.
  5. I think the pessimism and negative reaction to the numbers I'm seeing around the net is just needless doom and gloom They only launched 42 days ago. They only had 1 event to sell, even if it was WrestleMania, and they had to sell that when their ability to deliver a quality stream was very much in question. All they have to do is keep the momentum they built at WrestleMania, put together a card people want to see at Extreme Rules and they could easily convert more of the 4 million people who watch Raw into Network subscribers.
  6. Ezekiel Jackson. Last ECW champion. He wasn't bad, far from the worst I.C. champ ever. When he was IC champ he was actually being booked fairly well with the Corre feud where he looked pretty bad ass taking on the whole group. Then after that was done they didn't do anything with him, had him lose the belt to Cody in a nothing Smackdown match and then he was barely on TV again.
  7. Hah, some of us on the board just watched that a few weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good actually, but nowhere near the "great, epic match" it was hyped as at the time.
  8. I don't even understand how that happens. They took forever clearing off the tables so how was the monitor even there for that?
  9. This. I honestly feel like that was the whole point and what Taker was going for with the loss.
  10. That number also means that I would imagine they had at least 500,000 people watching WrestleMania on the Network last night and the stream held up great, so that's a big positive for them. The number also equals out to $40,037,220 in revenue over a 6 month period.

Is it wrong that I was expecting Swagger to come out and hit Cesaro with the trophy after the match? Maybe that's why they made it so damn big so they wouldn't have to go through with the trope.
  12. I don't see that as a bad number considering it's only been out 1 month. Especially since I assume a lot of people were skeptical about buying it for WrestleMania thinking the stream would fail and now they are going to have a great word of mouth about how good the quality was.
  13. They were great because if immediately after the last match you were kind of unsure whether or not you felt that was a good show, the highlight video was usually so good you'd end up thinking the show was really better than it was.

What made Vickie great is that she performed her best material the same way she performed her worst. A lot of people in WWE seem to make it obvious when they don't like the goofy or humiliating stuff they're booked to do. Vickie always stayed true to the character.
  15. I still like the "I don't want to watch WWE on my computer or mobile device! Just work out a deal with the cable companies" whine because obviously there is NO WAY to get the Network on your TV. As far as Lesnar/Taker goes I don't think there is any reason to get angry at WWE. I would imagine the way that match played out and the way the Streak ended was all Taker's idea. He wrestled the whole match like an old man who was finished. I'm pretty sure he could have looked better than THAT if that if he wanted to. I really want HHH to decide that now he has to "make a deal with the devil" and decide to give Heyman the title shot he's been asking for. As an aside, I get that they wanted to end the show with Daniel Bryan's celebration but I missed the old WrestleMania staple of doing a highlight video of the whole show at the very end. Have they not been doing that for a while?
  16. I had 0 expectations of watching this show in real time when I couldn't even get the HoF to work for more than a few minutes at a time this morning but the stream was pretty much perfect for WrestleMania. Huge homerun for WWE.
  17. OH MY GOD! That was exactly who I thought should win and SO AWESOME!
  18. This battle royal is a lot of fun to me. I loved Big Show mocking R-Truth's dance after eliminating him.
  19. That might be the best squash match ever at WrestleMania! Roman Reigns looked like a beast!
  20. They might as well just throw the Battle Royal on next or something, because it's going to be impossible to follow that.
  21. That match was everything that is good about wrestling.
  22. I sure hope Daniel Bryan doesn't decide to kill himself before he can main event the show! That dive was nuts.
  23. Ok, I am loving this HHH entrance.

There are still going to be a couple hundred thousand buys or maybe more for WrestleMania, at least this year. The "normal" PPVs will be what completely dies off.
  25. I will. If the live stream has issues then I'll just do something else and watch it later though. I'll be up all night to keep the delicate night shift sleep schedule for work Monday and I'm not really a "HAVE TO WATCH IT NOW!" person. I'd rather watch it in high quality than watch it sputter all night if they have issues.
