  1. I had been thinking about this a lot since it happened. I remembered there was a thread about a year ago where you and I went back and forth about his backstage behavior and how much of a bully it seemed like he had become over night. Thinking back to that really makes me wonder if it wasn't staring even us right in the face at the time. I wonder how many things people that know him are putting together in their heads right now and realizing they dropped the ball on saving his family from this.
  2. I don't think either hold a lot of water honestly. Roid rage doesn't explain the lapses between killing his wife and son. If he would've flown off in a rage he would've killed them in one shot. I also find insanity hard to swallow at this point as this all seems extremely calculated on his part.
  3. Those text messages pretty well debunk the roid rage and insane defenses.
  4. Good, they should've fucking punched those people in the face afterwards if they were pro-Benoit signs.
  5. I think they should've just straight up dedicated the show to Nancy and Daniel.
  6. The thing that sickens me about this is the real tragedy of a 7 year old being murdered by his father seems to be totally lost out there among the IWC.
  7. WWE.com has taken down all the video testimonials from other stars and a video tribute for him.
  8. WWE.com is reporting the double murder-suicide part now.
  9. You don't need an autopsy to know such things. Boy placement usually tells you if someone say killed themselves or if a person was murdered. Other things such as bruises, scratches, etc. also provide further evidence of such things.
  10. Also I think the obscene amount of shows they run now have started hurting him. It's making people pick and choose shows and as a result feel less into the product because they can only follow bits and pieces of storylines.
  11. As I said in the other thread. They should've opened the wallet a bit for this. Why not throw Morishima defending against say Ultimo Dragon. Or why not bring back Jushin Liger who is the DG Champ currently. Or why not do a double shot of Ultimo Dragon vs. Super Delfin with the winner taking on Morishima. Anyone of those ideas would've done more for them than what they have planned currently.
  12. I follow NOAH, AJPW, NJPW and Dragon's Gate as much as I can. I essentially get everything they put out on DVD that IVP gets in. While I enjoy those promotions, NJPW and DG being my top two, I have failed to see anything rise above a pack of good matches. There's been a nice upswing as far as match quality and consistency but no one's put on a truly great match as far as I've seen. Now granted I haven't seen the newest batch of shows from late April and May but I dobut the Nakamura/Makabe chain match or any of the CC matches are going to blow me away either.

    Vengeance

That show sounded awful. Deuce and Domino vs. Slaughter and Snuka on PPV? I enjoy Deuce and Domino and everything but that match had no business on PPV.
  14. I guess maybe I was expecting more. I thought they would've opened the wallet for say an Ultimo Dragon, Super Delfin or used Morishima on both shows.
  15. I saw the RoH card for their first Japanese card and wow. That show has box office bomb written all over it. I don't see how a KENTA/CIMA tag team is going to bring anyone in for them.
  16. The other issue I see with RoH is Gabe is just burned out as a booker plain and simple. It's my opinion that a booker is good for roughly a year straight of shows before they're out of ideas. Gabe's going on year 5 right now and I'd say he's been burned out since a little before CM Punk left. I think he needs to let someone else book for 6 months to a year so he can get the creative juices flowing again. A lot of stuff right now seems very paint by numbers to me. I also know of several fans that tuned out for good during the CZW feud.
  17. I don't think Morishima is awful. He's just the wrong choice at the wrong time for RoH. They don't have anyone that can really go up against him. He's too big and he works the wrong stylefor their shows. Main eventing shows with title defenses against the likes of the Briscoe Brothers just won't cut it for what's supposedly the largest independent promotion out there. Plus it creates an annoyance when RoHbots that know nothing about puro but think they're an expert because they've seen a couple of NOAH guys. I got labeled a hater by a couple of bots for bringing up the fact that Marufuji bombed as GHC Champ and his defense agaisnt KENTA did pretty bad. Another issue I see with RoH is they've been using the NOAH and DG guys as a crutch since they've lost all their star power. That's a huge mistake IMO as the Japanese wrestlers work best as a novelty act that you throw on there once every few months to pop the attendance numbers or the DVD sales. If they're always there they lose their aura of being a special attraction and won't be able to save a lackluster card.
  18. The RoH problem is lack of talent plain and simple. Brent Albright is the only guy they have with star power that they have. They should be building around him. I was discussing on another board that they should raid the southern feds and bring in guys like Ric Converse, Preston Quinn and Damien Wayne. Those guys are good workers and can talk unlike most of the current RoH. The other problem is that they sell themselves on being the best wrestling ever and several companies are doing it just as well or better currently. TNA just scored the highest rating ever for an episode of Impact with a 1.2. The audience has stayed with them for almost 2 years now which is impressive considering WSX lost almost it's entire audience after the first episode. People don't like giving TNA credit but they do deserve some for finding a decent sized audience and keeping them on board with the product.
  19. That is true. But I'm talking about how they buried mentioning her on Raw because her real death conflicts with the fake death. That's really the issue. I don't expect anything special but they usually start a show with those things. This time they didn't and tried to hide it in an awkward spot because again the real death conflicted with the storyline death. They almost certainly were in a meeting and this came up and this is how they decided to handle it.
  20. I find it completely offensive. The next time someone dies and do their tribute show I won't believe for a second that person is actually dead. And I feel like an idiot now for defending them from people when Owen Hart died on the grounds they would never sink low enough to work a death. Opps, guess I was wrong on that point. The other point that I find offensive is that the real death of Sherri Martel was completely glossed over because it conflicts with the fake death as someone on the Smart Wrestling Fan podcast said this week. And just in general, I don't watch wrestling for this shit and I knew from the start that this would go exactly in this direction. Also, why yet again are they making a storyline that can't end in the ring the focus of everything. But I'm not totally surprised as this is the natural progression of how they treated Eddie more like a character they wrote out of the show than a person who was actually dead.
  21. Maybe after the first shot, but by 8 or so I'm sure he wasn't even sure what zip code he was in let alone knew he should stay down. Still Foley's fault. The Rock had only been in the business for a couple of years at this point and Foley did keep getting up. If I was in that situation I would probably keep hitting him too under the assumption that he wanted me to continue. Hey he didn't say to do something else and I don't know it supposedly is doing a lot of damage due to him being handcuffed. I think it's a simple matter. Foley said the first shot really really hurt. Then stay down and you won't get hit anymore. He was the veteran in the match with a fairly green guy. In that particular situation Foley was totally responsible for protecting himself from further injury.
  22. I think Foley shares a lot of the blame for that one. If he had just stayed down when he realized the first shot really hurt the other shots wouldn't have happened.
  23. The sad thing is that was actually pretty tame compared to Lawler cackling all during the Rumble "about that little Chinese guy hitting his face on the ground" when Taka Michinoku got eliminated and actually was hurt back in 2000 or 2001.
  24. He fucking crippled a jobber at one point. There are plenty of guys considered to be a danger to everyone with botched moves when they enter a ring that haven't done that much damage to another person. I can't remember off the top of my head but he knocked Angle or Jericho loopy in one of their matches in 2000 as well. Some more: Eddie/Rey when it involved his son. Vicky Guerrero's heel turn last year. Stephanie comparing on air the 9/11 attacks to the steroid trials Airing Hassan and several masked men basically playing out one of those beheading videos with the Undertaker the day of a terrorist attack. I know it was taped but they could've gotten it off air if they really wanted to.
  25. Ah, yes. The Credible is better than so and so has been a popular mutant meme for a long time. They used to claim he was better than Austin on a constant basis back in 99-00.
