  1. Yeah, how often did Al Snow win from 1998-2000 but he was still over. Even a stupid tag team like Headcheese got over because they got screen time and weren't buried. They need to start rolling with things that get over. Look at Rusev Day. They broke it up just as a fuck you to the fans for liking it. That's why no one watches, they make you feel stupid for getting invested in something they don't approve of.
  2. I think the problem is they always screw Smackdown. They will always torpedo good angles because anyone that gets an ounce of momentum will get moved to Raw and then misused.
  3. I disagree. It worked well with ECW and there are guys like Zach Ryder and Mark Henry that benefitted a lot from having a B show that centered around them.
  4. I think the brand split is fine in theory but they really screwed everything up with their choices this year. They straight up just need more matches on TV. They're averaging 9 matches over 5 hours of TV weekly. That's ridiculous. They have this huge roster and most of them go weeks with no screen time.
  5. I like how they are going the exact perfect direction with Roman to get him booed again.

  8. Past even Lio. They're making veterans do that shit. Why the fuck does Rockstar Spud have to run around being a gopher for people just because he's new to the company?
  9. I kind of think they're going to be on FS1 within the first 6 months.
  10. I would do a studio show with Austin as the host during Smackdown. Have him interject at the top of the hour and do sit down interviews with wrestlers. Just take his podcast and make that a segment you go to a couple of times a night. Get the wrestlers in this casual natural environment that feels off the cuff.
  11. I think those are great ideas. Think about the most memorable moments from the 80s and 90s. Those great Piper Pit segments were never more than 5 minutes. Go back to any of the old TV until the Monday Night Wars. It was a very snappy presentation that kept things moving along. I also think talent rotation is a great idea. They have a big enough roster that guys can take a couple of months off here and there. It gives you returns to surprise the crowds with here and there as well. I think a 10 episode "season" might be an interesting concept to try. Build your storylines for those 10 weeks, blow it off at a PPV and then take the losers off of TV for a bit and move the winners on to the next thing. I would also unify the World Titles, the Tag Titles and the Women's Titles to cut down on the belts running around right now. I think having a World, Tag, US, IC, Women's, Women's Tag and a Cruiserweight belt are probably too much but better than what we've been dealing with. But I think they need to go back to the belts having defined levels. It just feels like they throw the belts on whoever and it's ultimately meaningless.
  12. I disagree with that. If you go to the indies, there are some great and creative things going on. Game Changer Wrestling is a great example of a promotion that is just stuffed with creativity and thought. I think the minds are there, they just aren't given a chance because WWE wants Hollywood writers. But I think if you brought in Super Dragon, Joey Janela and the Elite and told them to fix things and not interfere that you might see things improve.
  13. He did that in the 1980s though.
  14. Also if you want a starting point with DC. The 1987 Flash series is really good. Wally West feels like a very Marvel character. There's about 250 issues and it's good essentially the entire way with people like Mark Waid, Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns doing runs.
  15. I meant the TV show that they just released a few weeks ago.
  16. I think the biggest problem is that it's all filler now. 95% of WWE programming is there to eat time on a weekly basis. This used to lead to PPVs having the blow offs but now those are on the Network and not a revenue stream so they have also become filler. They don't know how to progress storylines or characters anymore. It doesn't matter if the heel loses because they will be right back on TV the next night in the same exact spot they were in before. There are no stakes to anything.
  17. I think they also have a severe content problem as well. Most people aren't going to sit through three hours of TV even if it's good.
  18. I've heard Doom Patrol is good. You get a 7 day free trial with some complete runs. So you could do something like JLA which is there in full.
  19. I think actually fixing things wouldn't be that difficult. My biggest concern is that they have chased people away for good and they aren't coming back.
  20. I think if they would just stop pushing Baron Corbin things would get better. Like come on TV and say "we are sorry we have done this to you the last 6 months, we promise that Baron is going to be a mid-carder and not be on TV for more than 10 minutes a show from now on." That would be a good start to fixing things.
  21. I feel like Marquez is this secret great promoter that has carved out a nice niche for himself and gets no credit for it.
  22. It was great but they had to screw the pooch and we never got the real conclusion to it. But I loved it, that was height of CWF Hollywood's TV.
  23. Those ratings are TNA levels and down a million from last year. They need to do something with this freefall.
  24. Looks like DC Universe finally has enough comics to be worth getting if you are interested. The only Vertigo stuff on there is Swamp Thing and Doom Patrol unfortunately.
