Just fastfoward about 5-8 minutes and you'll hit the next match. The back patting goes on all night.
-
Just fast forward to the next match and you can blow through the rest of it in an hour.
-
It was ridiculous during the MYC. You would have 5 minutes of video for a 3 minute match.
-
Not a comment on the show but I am tired of how much dead space these shows have with the video packages and shit. They really lay it on too heavy with the video packages instead of just having the announcers tell you what's going on. It's like they don't trust their audience. It's amazing if you go back to an old PPV with how you just blow through those 3 hours because you don't have the long fucking video packages between every match that has to recap every second of the feud.

He was my biggest takeaway from the All Japan Classics shows other than the Destroyer. I wish there was more of his stuff out there.
-
I'm shocked because they announced that and sometimes you don't even get the news on medical suspensions right away. He doesn't even have the time for a true camp. It's beyond stupid and shows a total disregard for the guys safety.

You can probably get by with Amazing Spider-Man, Iron Man and Captain America tie ins. There's also a Captain America & Iron Man one shot that is fairly essential but I can't remember the name of it. You can branch out to other books if you want to follow that character more. Forgot to mention Planet Hulk and Annihilation and Annihilation Conquest for good storylines to get into for Marvel. The Annihilation books are cosmic Marvel stuff. Planet Hulk is what the recent Thor movie was based on.

I recommend going digital because it's cheaper if you wait for sales. Marvel Unlimited is $70 a year and you can read tens of thousands of comics. If you're willing to wait for sales you can grab stuff for really cheap. But here is a list of my recommendations: Image: Invincible Walking Dead DC: Mister Miracle by Tom King (12 issue mini-series that came out last year and just ended). Green Lantern Rebirth and Green Lantern Corp Rebirth (plus the series that follows in the mid 2000s. Geoff Johns wrote Green Lantern. You'll also want any side things to the Sinestro Corp War and Blackest Night crossovers). Want something shorter? Grant Morrison is starting a Green Lantern book in November. Batman and Detective Comics - lot of good stuff here. I recommend Batman and Robin by Grant Morrison, this has Dick Grayson as Batman and Damian Wayne as Robin, good series and short. I also recommend picking up Batman and Detective Comics with Rebirth and going forward. If you're interested, you can grab both of the first trades for $5.99 on Comixology right now. Teen Titans by Geoff Johns. Really good book that ran through the 2000s. More Geoff Johns goodness with JSA and Justice Society of America. Good books especially if you were an Earth 2 fan. Marvel: Civil War crossover. This happened around 2006. Very important book that defines the Marvel Universe for the next decade. Superior Spider-Man. Doctor Octopus takes over Peter Parker's body and it's a really good series. About 31 issues. Daredevil. This book starts in 1998 with Kevin Smith writing. You can just go forward with it and it's good for a really long time. Wolverine and the X-Men by Jason Aaron. Ultimate Spider-Man by Bendis. New Avengers by Bendis. Captain America by Ed Brubaker. Iron Man Extremis. This is by Warren Ellis and 6ish issues I believe. Valiant: Lucky for you this line just restarted with a new company about 7 years ago. Lot of good stuff here. The X-O Manowar book has been good from the start. Harbinger was really good as was the first Archer and Armstrong series. You could probably just look up a reading list, there's one on Reddit and go with the characters you know.

Tom King's Mister Miracle is really good. Grant Morrison is starting a run on Green Lantern in November. Most of the Rebirth has been good but not amazing. The Metal crossover is worth reading, especially the one shots with the different versions of Batman.

If anyone here is interested. Walmart has started selling 100 page giants from DC for $5. You get one new story and 3 reprints.
-
Superior Spider-Man was probably my favorite book of the past decade. It felt so fresh and different. I feel like Slott's Spider-Man ran out of steam after that book though. You should also check out Superior Foes of Spider-Man if you want a quirky book with a bunch of C list villains as the characters.

I thought the second episode was brutally bad. I liked the first and third episodes quite a bit. I know they have to introduce people but I really hate having 3 minutes of video packages for a match that goes 4 minutes.
-
It feels like everything now is just filler but that they never get to what they are using the filler for.

I 100% agree on Reigns regressing this year. I would never have called him good or great but he was above average. But he's been in an endless line of shitty PPV matches this year.
-
This is going to end at some point though and it's going to be soon. I think they are better equipped for the rights fee burst than the NFL is though. But they could easily walk into those next talks and only have networks offer 50% of the previous deal because everyone is cutting back. Then they could be in real trouble because that is the only thing they really make money on.

I find cardboard to be more interesting. I think the Orton comparison is a good one. Nowhere near over enough to justify holding the entire product hostage for his sake. My one defense of him is he might not be so bad if they would just end this endless Lesnar shit. But as it stands if Reigns and Lesnar disappeared tomorrow, I think the product would be a lot better.

I think you just don't involve her much past that and have her say that it was her husband out there and she cares about his safety more than anything. Now granted, they have kind of salted the earth in sincere motivation.
-
I think with Joe/Styles they need to have Styles wife throw the towel in to save him and cost him the title. Then you get a nice layer to their storyline. That's what I would have done here but I don't think they are creative enough to go for that.

They did remove her from Rance's gym I believe.

The flat back bumps are a bad idea for someone her age. If you watch the Kenny Omega match, that girl never flat back bumps and more does gymnastic type rolls. I think the meet and greets are really fucked up though. There are some real deranged creeps out there and they are potentially exposing their child to them.

The fact that they don't understand why Bayley's heel turn didn't work is really telling to me. When you constantly make your faces look like chumps, people don't see what Bayley or Becky did as a heel turn. It's more of a "fuck yeah, stand up for yourself!" moment. I also think she's riding a wave of frustration with the women's division that is really starting to bubble up.
-
I think there will be 2 or 3 good matches buried in a pile of shitty current vs. past matches. Every rumor that pops up for this show just makes me less interested.

Are there any bigger fuckwits than Izzy's parents?

WWE TV 08/20 - 08/26 THE BIG DOG IS THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION
Mad Dog replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
I want the New Day vs. Bludgeon Brothers in a TLC match. Their Summerslam match would have been amazing with plunder added into the mix. -
That's what's fun about it though. It was played to be dumb in PWG.
