Blehschmidt replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Who else is at the PC other than Jade and Holliday? -
They said it couldn't be done! They said there was no chance in hell we could top the Doink match from Episode 3! Well, I bring you Episode 5, and quite possibly the worst thing you've ever seen in your life!! Bill Santo and Black Ninja III versus The Beast and The Green Demon OWF WorldWide Wrasslin Episode 5

If they really got Kairi to sign back with them, she can't be happy to see Nia back as well

Considering this game had Yokozuna in 1984, Waylon Mercy in 1985 or 86, The Undertaker and Big Van Vader in 1987, the Holly Cousins in 1988, and next apparently Beulah McGillicutty 7 years early..... I can see why the absolute last thing we'd want is for it to become unrealistic with Onita returning from injury early.

Fellow board member @GeneJackson95 and I are having a bit of fun taking some really bad indy and backyard wrestling from today all the way back to the 90's, sprinkling in some silly commercials and some dumb segments and turning it into a show which is a little bit old Saturday morning wrestling and a little bit MST3K, though probably not nearly as good as either one. But, we are having a good time doing it, and hopefully you'll be entertained if you take the time to watch it. If you do, please leave a message and let us know what you think! The show has certainly gotten better as we've progressed, so if you do decide to give us a shot, maybe start with a later episode!

Just fucking heartbroken. My favorite of all time. Love the Funker.

That may be the stupidest thing I've seen in my 38 years of watching professional wrestling and that covers a lot of ground.

I know this thread took a significant turn from your original idea, but I think 1991 is actually a really good call. I can't commit to anything at the moment, but if you want to revisit this idea in the future, I would potentially be interested in giving Global a shot. The GWF is one of my guilty pleasure wrestling fandoms! I also know in the past that @GeneJackson95 expressed interest in trying his hand at booking the insanity that was Abrams UWF.

Ruby did come across like a complete asshole on the All Access show when dealing with Tay. I assumed it was all scripted for the unscripted show, but maybe not. Which makes it even funnier, since Tay would most likely kick the shit out of her in a shoot.

Glad to see Shida get the win. She did an awesome job carrying the division during the pandemic, so her getting a little "Thank You" reign is nice to see.
-
As are Lou Albano, Baby Doll, Dark Journey, Precious, and Sunshine.
-
That's terrible news. Someone I first remember from his Global run of all things, but came to enjoy later in life as I found more footage.
-
You may need to replace Sunny too, unless it's a big house.

I wasn't intending to start some shit. Seriously just wanted to point out that Beulah spends the next 7 years as a back up dancer for Prince amongst other gigs and not in professional wrestling! and I have no dogs in this fight, so I won't leave any opinion on the meat of this argument, but I did want to comment on one thing Rain said about the deaths. David Von Erich as NWA Champion in 88, creepy? See, I think that would be interesting as hell. I truly hope if this game ever re-boots back to the early 80's or we start another one, that some of the deaths can be looked at on a case by case basis and since we are already booking an alternate history, we can book one where David goes to the doctor, Gino gets help, or Magnum gets home. Then if David lives, do Mike and Kerry do what Mike and Kerry do? Does Mike even become a wrestler? The what if scenarios are endless. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities that in truth are at least as plausible if not more realistic than 1988 Crash Holly or mulleted newcomer Shane Douglas already being the franchise. (No offense meant, just using those as examples.)

Hello Gentleman! Just looking around at the happenings in my old stomping ground and wanted to drop one small piece of information. Trisa Hayes (aka Beulah McGillicutty) probably shouldn't be available until 1995. She made one single appearance in Stampede in 1988 as an audience plant to help get Brian Pillman over (as she was dating him at the time) and then never appeared in wrestling again until her time in ECW began. With the rules this game uses for debuts and retirements, I certainly don't think she fits the criteria for debuting at this point!

What's odd about a couple of Italian guys teaming together?

Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck. Tajiri and Mikey Whipwreck

Okay, what the fuck is the point of doing "broken glass" if you aren't going to bleed when you bump into it.

I'm not sure what that Jungle Boy video was supposed to be, but the crowd certainly doesn't seem to like him.

WWE 07/10 - 07/15 - Two Tribal Chiefs? In This Economy?
Blehschmidt replied to Timbo Slice's topic in WWE
This LA Knight thing feels much more like a Kennedy....Kennedy thing, than the birth of a real star -
The issue is Athena has quietly been having an amazing streak of great matches and hasn't lost, so her losing to Willow in a random semi-final just seems pointless.
-
Ruby going over there seems like a silly booking decision. Skye Blue is currently getting over pretty well and the tournament could have cemented her. Now this likely means that Willow is beating Athena and going on to face Ruby in the final. Athena has been building the RoH Womens Title with a streak of really good matches, so why put her in the tournament if she isn't going to the final? Skye beating Athena for the Trophy would have been a huge win for Skye, or Skye fighting her way to the end only to get destroyed by Athena to re-introduce Athena to the AEW audience would have been fine as well. Willow finally getting one up on the Outcasts will be fine I guess. Ruby winning does nothing for anybody. Just a missed opportunity IMO

Wow, that Jericho/Kommander match was ugly.
