They also timed the entrances for the main event at 16 minutes, which is as long as the longest match on the show up to that point. Just, Wow.

I am not against people wanting to meet the wrestlers they like, but seriously... Can you imagine? A fucking grand to stand next to Reigns for 6 seconds, he probably says "How Ya Doin?" and then someone screams "NEXT!!!" and your done. You have to be truly insane. Last month I got an autograph and a picture with Stan Hansen and we talked for several minutes afterwards and it cost me 40 bucks.

That last big boxing show that Netflix had featured him on commentary, and he was just unbearable all night long. One of the other commentators was a female whose name I can't remember and it felt like every single time she was starting to make a point about anything, he'd start screaming like an idiot or quip in with something ridiculous like "much like the Wu-Tang Clan, Jake Paul is nothing to fuck with" and it went on that way for like 6 solid hours. Someone, somewhere (probably his Mom) keeps telling him that he is clever and creative, and they really, really need to stop!

You don't have to do what people voted for. If there is something that you want to write, write it. The whole point of this hobby is to have fun, so have fun and write what you want to write.

Gene Jackson and I did a watch-a-long style podcast of Abrams UWF and I made it 13 episodes before I tapped out because that show was so awful. So that gets my vote. Good Luck with that disaster!

I am fairly certain Den had David Schultz win the WWF Title from Bruno, and then it went to Hogan. I think it remained there until the next booker took over. I know he changed up pretty much everything I had going fairly quickly, but I unfortunately don't remember the changes he made with the other titles.

Thanks! The time period in discussion here is definitely my wheel house. When DoW first started and we were working near this era, I had an absolute blast writing it. I often wish life hadn't gotten in the way and I could have continued the version of World Class that I was writing. Von Erichs, Bockwinkel, John Studd, Butch Reed. The roster I had was fantastic and I had some good stuff planned.

I know I'm not particularly welcome in these parts, but since this is just a one off thing for fun, I'll chime in! Group 8 would be my choice. David Von Erich would 100% be your top babyface, but after that you'd need to do some trading cause you have pretty much no one else worth a damn on the babyface side. Potentially Don Kernodle and Jesse Barr, but there is a huge disparity in star power between David and those guys. Maybe Bret Hart gets an early push as a technical babyface, but it would be lower card at best. But oh man, David having a villains gallery consisting of Roddy Piper, a Heenan Family consisting of Patera, Saito, and maybe Rose & Somers put together a few years early. Not to mention a Russian team of Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff, Austin Idol and Killer Khan floating around, and maybe we lean into Scott Irwin's biker gimmick a little more and give him Ellering as a manger. As you mentioned @LowBlowPodcast, a lot of fun pieces in that group.

I was at that show too! I remember when Rey Mysterio got boo'ed just for not being Daniel Bryan. I also remember when the years and years of Roman Reigns backlash could have potentially been avoided if they had pivoted then and there and let him eliminate Batista for the win.

They are going to have to do something because this Orton heel turn isn't happening.

I always preferred Dennis to Stan. Just a fantastic all around worker, and he could talk when he had too. Apparently a pretty great person as well.

But yes, otherwise this has been a super fun show so far. Bucks/FTR was great. Didn't expect the National Title change. Thought Willow/Lena was fun, as was Toni/Shafir.

Rousey is the last thing the AEW Women's division needs unless it's a one off job to Toni. Hopefully she'll be too busy training for the farce with Carano to follow up.

Kind of sad that they totally squashed The IInspiration in their first TV appearance. I get that they are the kind of team who can recover from it, but still. Especially for Alex Windsor who is just awful. Also sad that Jamie Hayter went from being the most over lady on the roster before her injury to stuck carrying O'Spreays nepo hire in tag matches now.
