I saw where MVP apparently got a contract extension, which I assume means the other two are staying. Which is really unfortunate. By far the worst part of AEW programming by a mile.

and it's utterly mind blowing the amount of mouth breathing idiots who are constantly shitting on her, calling her Mercedes Hogan, claiming she is half the worker she was in WWE, claiming she isn't putting anyone over (cause they don't understand what that means), and all kinds of other dumb shit because either A) They don't like the fact that she isn't in WWE anymore or B,) They can't stand seeing a woman having this level of success. I am loving this run and I hope she beats Statlander on Saturday (and not just because I don't care for Statlander!)

I enjoyed both of the matches last night, and I get that they are staggering the entrance times to work around the commercials, but holy shit, both of those matches were really, really long. Also, where in the hell did they get those tables!

Under-the-radar wrestling book recommendations
Blehschmidt replied to Cross Face Chicken Wing's topic in Pro Wrestling
The new Wolfie D book by our own @GeneJackson95 is a fun read. Wolfie comes across as a guy who very much knows his place in wrestling history and is happy to just get to tell his story in his own way. Very entertaining from start to finish. -
I enjoy Andrade as an in ring talent, and I hope like hell that he or TK or someone finds a way to stand up to this nonsense. Not even so much cause I wanna see him wrestle, but just because I want to see someone tear apart WWE's bullshit contract system.

Oh, I'm sure they'd talk her into dropping that, you know....for the dream 🙄

How dare you sir! She is Scottish! In all seriousness though, I hope Isla Dawn does get signed. I'm a big fan of hers.

Is there somewhere to catch that match?

LOL. You're gonna do great here.

CC87 was my first ever wrestling VHS. I still have it in the giant plastic clamshell packaging all these years later. As clipped as that thing was, I wore that tape out. I still feel like a kid when I hear "The Hit" by Richard Myhill and picture that montage at the beginning that spoiled the whole damn tape! I am so excited to finally get to see these matches in full!

You won't be able to afford the medication, or the hospitalization, but your children will be our top focus. We'll also be happy to take them to a private island, but that is a totally different thing.

I turned it on just as that match starter and can verify it was a shit show. As soon as Jade got cut, everyone involved looked totally lost. But the pin was awful. The ref counted One, Two, and then just quit counting. Jax looked up at her, she looked at Jax, Jax said something, the ref said something back, then Jax throws her shoulder up like she was kicking out. Stratton just kept pinning her the whole time. You can't hardly blame Jade for rolling out with that gash on her face, but good lord, I think I'd have to go Bill Watts and fine everyone else involved for being fucking terrible at the wrestling business.

That's awesome! I love Skye and Julia, and they should be out getting in all the reps they can.

Calling six man tags "Trios" OUTSIDE the context of Lucha
Blehschmidt replied to David Mantell's topic in Pro Wrestling
We may as well stop. This guy just wants us to say he is right. He obviously thinks that writing 10,000 word posts multiple times a day in the French and British wrestling posts makes him the smartest guy here and makes his opinions more relevant and correct than ours. We get it dude. Modern wrestling sucks, Cornette rules, outlaw mud shows, blah, blah, blah. Can you please just stick to being pretentious in the two threads that you spam multiple times a day so it's easier to ignore you? -

I will say Lashley gave him WAY more than I anticipated. But he still beat him with the Full Nelson, which hasn't been relevant since 1987. Then on the outside, MVP laid out Ricochet with one punch, and then broke his cane over his back. Meanwhile Shelton superkicked Bishop, and then beat him up some more.....and most likely they'll go over at the PPV too. In closing, and as always..... Fuck The Hurt Syndicate. The sooner they are out of AEW, the better.

Almost as snooty as that post you just wrote. -
If only Trent Knight and Snake Brown had still been around in that era.

TK is Tony Khan who owns the promotion. Excalibur is the masked commentator, and he is really quite good. But since you just like to spout off Cornette talking points when it comes to AEW, you'll never be convinced of that. -
I assume this is where we get the Statlander heel turn and she wins the belt with help from Yuta or Shafir, and this way they can do it without Toni taking the pin. I hope I'm wrong, but TK apparently loves him some Statlander as she wins every fucking thing else.

They uploaded a compilation of Battle Royals the other day that has two gems on it. The first is a luchadore battle royal from WCW Worldwide (I think) that has Dusty absolutely losing his shit for El Dandy and it's hilarious. The second is a 10 man battle royal from an episode of WCW Pro, that is the perfect illustration of why WCW didn't make it as the list of participants were: Disco Inferno, Dave Sullivan, Cobra, Mark Starr, Frankie Lancaster, Nasty Ned, Fidel Sierra, Ricky Santana, James Earl Wright, and Buddy Lee Parker

The rumor seems to be that Arez will be playing "evil" Hologram and I am all for that. I've been a fan of his work for a few years now, and his past matches against Hologram when he was Aramis were always a ton of fun.

Holy Hell that Bandido/Hechicero match was fantastic. Just wanted to come in here and say that!

I'll take "Going to the Pay Winduh" and "He hit'em with a commode lid!' over "Shucky Ducky Quack Quack" and "Awwwww Yeah Mannnn!!" (repeated 75 times per show) any day of the week.

MVP interfered in the Opps/GOA and Ricochet trios match. So unfortunately, much like The Death Riders, it would appear that Hurt Syndicate isn't done yet.
