  1. If you link to his videos it says that he closed it (unlike the French match which said that youtube closed it after requests by NJPW). I didn't save anything. I've seen some weird bogus copyright claims on YouTube but that might be the most out there.
  2. Jellybeans178's account was closed? FUCK. He should've stuck to uploading non-WWE stuff. I didn't grab any...someone must have, right? RIGHT?
  3. Jimmy Hart wasn't added to the ballot. Did anyone who emailed Dave about adding him actually get a reply?
  4. Yay, both of the stories I emailed to Deadspin made it into this week's Virgilbag:
  5. I think part of the problem with Heyman's performance was that they didn't use the announcers to try to get over what exactly was happening. The way I read it was that he being sarcastic as if he was mocking the idea that he'd be shocked & horrified by Lesnar breaking Michaels' arm. If that was the idea, Heyman did a perfectly fine job. If he was supposed to ACTUALLY be shocked and horrified then he did an absolutely awful job. Michaels...well, he wasn't too good, especially the repeated "DON'T TOUCH IT!" No idea how anyone would think it was noticeably above average, even by the standards of Michaels being especially over-dramatic. At least it wasn't as bad as when the live crowd was audibly laughing at him because his selling of a head injury during...was it the Jericho feud?...was so over the top.
  6. The UnAmericans never did anything offensive. In fact, it was very Canadian in how bland the approach was. There wasn't much more to it then "you know, we really don't care for you". If you're referring to Hassan, I think they were past the point of "kill him for amurika" heat and into "what the fuck are they thinking?" heat. They almost burned the flag on Raw. At MSG. Two weeks before the first anniversary of 9/11.

    1990 hype!

Unfortunately we only have the last 8 weeks of the year of that version of Pro (plus the first 2 weeks of 1991). The set that's floating around is made up of the WPIX NY and WGN Chicago localized versions with different commentary. For whatever reason, the Lance & Freebirds stuff is VERY hard to find.
  8. I don't understand the significance of JTG and his complaints. Is he speaking on behalf of those who wrestled at Wrestlemania and got slighted, or is he complaining that he got a few thousand dollars only for his work at Wrestlemania? I ask because I don't remember seeing him on the card. Why should he get credit for anything that happened on the card? Am I reading it right? JTG is kvetching about being underpaid for a card he wasn't on? I wasn't on the card either. Where's MY check?? I'm working under the assumption that it was for all of the weekend festivities. Also, it's not just him; according to the new F4W "he and several other undercard wrestlers we're given bonus checks in the amount of $2,000."

    1990 hype!

Dawwwwwwnaw? Yes! The ICW TEEN REPORT. Just wait until you see her interview Tony Atlas, if you never have.
  10. Demolition was over but you can't judge how over someone was based on SNMEs: The audio was heavily sweetened.
  11. By the way...Dave MUST have some kind of master list of business figures over the years and isn't just looking through old WONs, right?
  12. "Oh, you mean grandpa Flair..."
  13. Around that time, Cablevision made a pretty big change to their system in terms of adding a bunch of new channels and renting out new boxes...maybe it was an industry-wide thing that led a lot of customers to start renting the descrambler boxes? It's only in the last few years that the boxes became something that the CableCos required all customers to rent and thus the PPV universe stopped growing.
  14. From what we've gotten of the ads on the NYC market stations, I don't think there's really been anything yet other than BUSINESS WOMAN VS CAREER POLITICAN/Linda has created eleventy zillion jobs in CT/She will get the middle class a completely unexplained $500/month tax cut. It sounds like the Republican debate she was in was basically the same thing. With how closed off her campaign has been to the media, that's literally just about everything she's said so far during this run.
  15. The XFL wasn't supposed to beat the NFL, it was supposed to be be Spring football so NBC would have something with the NFL gone and football fans would have more football. I should probably read "Long Bomb" one of these days to get a better idea what the hell was going on...
  16. As someone who thinks that the WM3 match is (absurd & ridiculous piledriver spot aside) a fun, psychologically sound spectacle: Really? Hansen-Andre has everything the you'd want from a big clash of the titans type match that WM3 match doesn't have.
  17. Seriously, he was banned from the Hard Rock Cafe on Citywalk in Orlando for "inappropriate behavior," and with his history, it's likely that is code for "whipped his dick out and spun it around in front of horrified tourist families."
  18. Foley, Nash, and other big names who saved their money have worked for them, so not really.
  19. Eh, ICP has a good rep for their payoffs and treating wrestlers well in general. Is it something he probably would have done during his original run of signings & other appearances? Probably not, but it's not really a big deal, especially given the limbo he's in right now.

  21. Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourne, and Jeff Hardy - The High Flyers
  22. The Big Red X was a WWF staple. It was a nice way to make the angle seem bloodier than it really was, which you can see from .
  23. Hadn't realized that this never got released...what was the holdup?
