  1. Are any of the Psicosis matches online? I think those go a long way in making the case for Regal as a top level worker. Yes, Psicosis was an excellent wrestler, was in his athletic prime, and was no slouch at working a mat-based match, but both were very unlike anyone either guy had ever worked with before. Still, they were completely in sync and went on to have a series of matches that are pretty solidly Nicho's best non-Rey matches in WCW.
  2. Now Scott is saying the Kane character was supposed to be blown off at WM14, which I have never heard before in my life.
  3. From what I remember of what bled over to the syndicated show, I think it ended up being Funk, who also put a bounty on Gilbert.
  4. One night of wrestling, five or six weeks of TV

Looking at the matchlist I THINK Montoya vs Reckless and Reckless vs Kidman were the good matches.
  6. FWIW this is the actual poll: https://www.facebook.com/questions/489245044451194/
  7. It did read a little weird, but by that point Oliver had posted in the relevant thread on their board that it was in fact a drug issue (after Dave swore that it wasn't), so with that in mind I didn't give it a ton of extra throught.
  8. I've said it before, I'll say it again: In 2013, the newsletter should mostly consist of articles already published on the site during the week which hopefully would not be written and edited at 3-4 AM local time.
  9. Kane. I like Kane!
  10. Which guys?
  11. I'm not sure I've ever actually seen Yamakawa vs Usuda but it feels like something that should be on here based solely on how interesting it is conceptually as the climax of a shoot style vs death match feud. With barbed wire kick pads!
  12. Since I was wondering about it and it's sort of relevant: When and how did Zero-One turn from Hashimoto's Heisei Ishigun to a real promotion? I don't think I've ever seen this explained anywhere, either in the WON or online.
  13. What happened was that the fans who were supposed to be turned away broke past security and into the building. The upper decks were damaged from the weight of the extra few thousand people.
  14. Just found this...don't think I posted it here when I first saw it, so... (For those who may be unaware, there's an epidemic of "Pain Clinics" in Florida that are basically drug dealers)
  15. Didn't HHH potato the shit out of JR in that match? Yes.
  16. Bob Holly also has a rep for stiffing guys while having horrible liking strikes. "Hurts like hell, looks like shit" is a common term in wrestling for a reason.
  17. 11. The Fabulous Ones 12. Dennis Condrey 13. Phil Hickerson 14. Koko Ware 15. Randy Savage 16. Jackie Fargo 17. Eddie Gilbert 18. Tommy Rich 19. Norvell Austin 20. Stan Hansen 21. Dusty Rhodes 46. Dustin Rhodes 47. Jimmy Golden 48. Jeff Jarrett 49. Billy Travis I'm tired.
  18. To me the most confusing thing is that he's so badly smoked by a brawler by so many contemporaries, and it's not just in matches that have only surfaced recently, either. Is there anything that really lives up to his rep besides the Abby feud, which is late in his career? I like some of his other stuff, like the Jumbo, Blackwell, and Gordy matches, but only the Abdullah matches live up to the type of brawl he's become synonomous with even though it wasn't something he did regularly.
  19. This is just something that isn't well known and not quite "news," isn't it? Ohtani's Jacket brought it up here a while back.
  20. I haven't watched it yet but the Eddie Gilbert and Vic Steamboat vs Kevin Sullivan and Tazmaniac match from the Century Wrestling Alliance that showed up on YouTube feels like the kind of thing that should be represented.
  21. Having not watched this yet, is Kendo's medium that weirdo who runs his website?
  22. Is he still shooting that bodybuilding movie or is this wrestling shape for him now? Well, it took him like 3 weeks after WrestleMania to get into scary Incredible Hulk only much bigger than Lou Ferrigno shape, hopefully he get back to resembling a normal human being by the Rumble in 6 weeks. Still, Jesus.

    TLC 2012

Brooklyn is on Long Island. I'm aware. I'm also aware of the fact that that people from Brooklyn tend to dislike people from the LI. It's a commuter heavy crowd and Ryder has been over like God at the last several MSG shows.

    TLC 2012

The deadline now is the following year's MITB PPV, isn't it?
