  1. Leon with a nice Lucha arm drag to start. A lot of back and forth. Gordman is in full Rudo mode. Gordman is great at feeding Leon. He also knows when to cut it off. Overall, a good solid underneath match.

  4. Man I've missed you Jose. I wouldn't be surprised that Jose has worked Pak Song some in Florida. I loved Pak Song's expression after gettinkg punched by Jose. It's a mixture of fear, pain, and what have I gotten myself into. Jose puts over Nam's weak chop. 2nd fall Jose has busted open Pak Song and we're all square. 3rd fall ans it's for all the marbles. Illegal thrust chop by Pak Song. He's working a nerve hold. Lothario after the cut. That kneedrop of Lothario's looks devestating. Hart interferes allowing Song to Pearl Harbor Jose for the win. I thought this was another great Lothario performance. Too bad it was wasted on a bad opponent.
  5. I really underscored how incredible the last 2 falls were. JJ Dillon was incredible taking the bumps, and bleeding Being the set up man for the big face turn. Then the implosion between Gary Hart and Mark Lewin was so amazing. The crowd embracing Lewin reminded me of Buddy Rose's face turn. What a great moment.
  6. Lewin vs Tanaka On paper I was not excited for this match, but Matt D pointed out we have Dillon and Hart on the outside so that warmed my heart a bit. I kinda dig JJ in Houston manages the foreigners. I really miss the salt ceremony. I wouldn't buy a car from either manager. So far this is pretty ho hum. JJ tries to make something happen. Lewin on the arm. The 1st fall was rough. Lewin with a couple of dropkicks gets the crowd stirring. . Lewin beating JJ. JJ is bleeding big time. Tanaka steals the fall. The 2nd fall really got the crowd to care. 3rd fall and Lewin is now beating Gary Hart, ripping his suit, and wants Hart to fire him. Hart then fires him.. Gino saves Hart. Then hits Tanaka by accident allowing Lewin to steal the match. The match was pretty bad, hidden by a lot of smoke and mirrors. JJ bleeding like a stuck pig. Lewin hits a drop kick. and that meant a lot. It totally got the crowd . Then Lewin's and Hart's break up was awesome. Gino getting involved, and finally Lewin basking in the glory of fans after the face turn.

  9. Gino vs Gary Young This goes 26 minutes. Young is a solid hand, but I don't think he has the tools to fill 26 minutes. Gino has his work cut out for him.Gino with some trash talking right away. Though he ends up cowering away. Gino bumps to the floor. Young working the arm. Gino scurries to the rope. Nothing is really happening, but Gino is making it interesting. Ete rake by Gino, but Young recovers . Gino of course cowers in the corner. Cheap shot by Gino to set up a heat segment. Young tries to fight it, but Gino cuts it off with a hair pull. young fighting back. Throws a pretty sad drop kick, and gets back to the arm. Gino is tremendous taking an ass kicking. Gino has a million ways to cheat off a rope break, and here it is. Young is totally firing up. Gino bumping and stooging here. Flying lariat by Gino gets a fall. That was a super fun fall. 2nd fall and Gino tosses Gary to the outside. Gino just beating on Gary. Big miss by Gino opens the door for Gary. Flair bump to the floor. Young gets the equalizer in a very energetic fall. 3rd fall and Young targets the back.He is giving Gino back drops, knees to the back, forearms to the back, a running knee, camel clutch, and a slam. The fall is getting repetetive, but still makes sense. Gino cheats to turn the tide. Gino tosses Gary to the floor. In a nice revenge spot Gino slams him on the floor. Gino now goes after the back. He has a modified bow and arrow on. Th crowd is trying to rally Gary. Young with a Red Sanford comeback. Only for Gino to pull him back down to the mat. Gino finally puts him down. Gino can do no wrong. He really is an awesome worker. Maybe Gary Young's greatest singles match ever. My slight complaint was it went a little long. 3 3/4*

  11. Tully is another guy where it would have worked. Hell Terry Funk would have made it work too.
  12. Tag match Fun shine to start. Manny is such an in your face worker. The babyfaces are working the arm. Robley tags in only for Tiger to own him. Manny rocking Robley's arm. Tiger is after it as well. The heels turn the tide and the heavy hitter is in. Patton is using his size to put Manny down. Tank uses his weight and size to his advantage. Robley is good as the cheap shot artist role. I always love to see the crowd reaction when a ref overturns the tag. Finally, Tiger gets the hot tag and the crowd is hot. Tiger is busted up, and the heels are working the cut. I really liked the shine. I liked the blood. I enjoyed Robley during the heat, but Patton was pretty average while getting the heat. Solid stuff. 2 1/2*

  14. Slater vs Duncum Slater early on shows some athleticism escaping from a wristlock. I really like Bobby shielding the ref from his punches. Duncum using his size to control the match. Solid punch exchange with Bobby on top. Back to the headlock for Bobby. It's been all Duncum. This 1st fall has pretty basic stuff with Duncum in control. Slater with a cheap shot to the leg. Slater is working the leg. Slater gets Duncum's boot off and submit's him with a spinning toe hold. 2nd fall and Slater is back after the leg. Duncum is selling it for all its worth. Bobby steals the 2nd fall with a lariat. 3rd fall In between falls Bobby hits Slater with his boot. Bobby is attacking before the bell. Duncum wants revenge. Duncum leg is slowing him down. Their was stuff to like and stuff not to like.. Dick's leg work was great. Bobby's selling was tremendous. Crowd was kinda ho hum for it all. After the 1st few minutes, Duncum's shine got boring. 2 1/4*

  16. Agreed, Ivan the Terrible is a revelation. The dude was incredible. So much charisma, and was a master showman. Mixed tag Ivan the Terrible has been a total revelation. I kind of get a Bill Dundee vibe from him. Ivan is biting Tiger right on the ass to start. Ivan tries to set up a Brooks sneak attack that fails. Love the midget interference spots. Tom with the beard pull. Ivan's pin ball stooging between Tom and Tiger was glorious In a great misdirection spot, Brooks runs into Ivan. I love the reversal's of the roles where the midget is the base, but Brooks is too fat. I've never heard a crowd laugh so hard in my life at a wrestling spot. Ivan milked that spot for all its worth. This match ruled. 3 1/2*

  19. Midgets!!!!! Paul Boesch midget jokes never get old. Loved the reveal that Ivan is bald. Ivan is great working the schtick. Ivan is awesome. He has a lot of schtick, and charisma. He knows how to play to the crowd. Ivan is totally carrying this.I'm loving the sky is falling gimmick. I totally loved the comedy spots. This was very entertaining. 2 1/2*
  20. Tiger vs Brooks Lets see how good Tiger is. This will be a test for him. They tease a Dog collar match. Brooks using the headlock early. I'm liking all the jockying on the mat. Brooks feeding Tiger was a lot of fun. Their seems to be a lot of start stop momentum. Tiger's arm drags are beautiful and look like it hurt. Brooks throwing knees to the back. Then uses head butts, and forearms to the back. A back breaker gets 2. Brooks transitions into a chinlock. Now Brooks is cranking the neck. Liked Brooks covering Tiger's nose to cause problems to his breathing. Brooks is really roughing him up in the ropes. Tiger's comeback is a lot of fun. It has a lot of energy, and the crowd is with him. Love Brooks posing like he won, even when it's a draw. Overall, I thought this was effective. It wasn't a classic, but Tiger continues to prove what a good hand he is. 2 1/2*

  22. Bock is such a good interview. Might be the best ever talking down to people. He works so well in Houston as he did in Memphis.
  23. Fabs vs Guerreros This has been a strong feud in Houston. We open up fast with the Guerreros wanting to push the pace. They get a nice shine early. They control the Fabs with their wrestling and tags. Keeping them off balance with their style. Keirn takes a powder to slow the pace. He suckers Hector only to have the tides turned. Keirn gets him the 2nd time only to get reversed again. I like the teases of the heat. Finally the Fabs use the # game and get the heat. Loved the tease of the hot tag. Only for the Stan Lane eye rake. Chavo's hot tag is en fuego. The crowd is nuts for the false finish. Then even more for the actual finish. Fabs get some of their heat back post match. 3 1/2*

  25. Brooks is in some get up to start, Taylor with some headlock work to start.Brooks with basic heel work that gets a reaction. Brooks with a hair pull sets up a head scissors. This is pretty dull. Gary Hart was the best part of the match. Their is a lot of laying around here.
