  1. I liked how Rude said WCW was playing favorites, and cited the Sting Precedant.
  2. I thought this was a really great match. Takada's kicks were nasty. Both being good workers in the pro style helps in they both know that they need some sizzle in working this style, and they incorporate it.
  3. Loss pretty much hit everything right on the money.
  4. I loved this profile piece. Kinda surprised how much they pushed how good he was at golf. I'm guessing he was pretty damn good.
  5. I enjoyed this bout. It's funny how Bret puts over how great his Flair matches were Hennig, but if you compare house show matches vs Flair his Flair matches are better than the Hennig ones. A cool spot I really dug was Flair had been working over Bret's back, Bret goes for a back drop, Flair takes the bump, then Bret collapses from the weight his back took. Flair was awesome heeling it up for the crowd. Both guys sold beautifully.
  6. This was done really well. The guys made Battelbowl seem really special.
  7. This was loads of fun. I guess this is kinda a sprint version of shoot style. I was sucked into all the moves and comebacks.
  8. This was pretty fun. I liked it a lot on the mat.
  9. Goldberg had some of his best matches with Sting also.
  10. I actually prefer most of Sting's Regal matches that took place on WCWSN or Main Event over the 96 Bash match.
  11. The blood was Friday the 13th bad. Hase looked like he butchered a live animal with the blood all over him. The work for the most part good. I wouldn't put it in a MOTY hunt by any stretch of the imagination. Their was so much blood you were actually distracted from the match.
  12. I liked this. Tenyru gave Koshinaka a lot. Koshinaka did some nice work on the arm. The false finishes were could and the crowd bought them. Tenryu beat the shit out of Koshinaka when he had the opportunity. Overall good stuff.
  13. I thought this segment was awesome. Heenan and Flair were just amazing here. Bret came across as confidant, and proud to be the champ. Ramon was the weak link here.
  14. I really enjoyed this and thought it was an excellent match. Like Loss said Hase did control the bout a little too much, but damn he was great at it. I liked how they battled on the mat early with neither man able to take control. Hase finally does take control and is awesome working Chono's neck. We get some fun neck work till Hase goes to the top rope and misses a knee drop. This allows Chono to take control and work Hase's leg. We see him work it, and use the STF many times. Hase makes his comeback and we see both guys throwing a lot of big moves at one another. My one gripe is I wished Chono got a little more time in control. Still we had a bout that moved a long, both wrestlers attacked body parts, super athletic, and a strong finish. Meltzer compared this to Hart/HBK at Survivor Series. Personally I thought this smoked it.
  15. This is a high energy fun tag with some great dives. Also the finish stretch was pretty well done. On top of that Kanemoto is such a prick.
  16. The opening with Rude and Simmons was dull. Sting and Vader are on the outside and are like WTF tags us in and let us save this match. They did and made this pretty fun. Sting and Vader have some real nice interactions in the ring. Vader is outside and Sting dives onto him. Vader catches him and rams his back into the ring post to set up the heat. Vader and Rude just kill his back with a variety of stuff. sting gets the hot tag to Simmons, and it is fun. Then we get a good heated finish to top off the match. Not a classic, but a good main event for Saturday night.
  17. I watched a couple bouts off Schneider comp 25. 1.Bobby Eaton vs. Dean Malenko (Pro 4/27/97) This is pretty great. Malenko was showing a lot of athleticism here working the mat and pushing the action. Eaton here is pretty broken down at this point, but he still has a good mind for the business and throws an amazing punch. He kind of reminds me of Bobby Fulton 92 at this point. Still they work it on the mat until it's time for an Eaton comeback. Then Eaton nails him with a beautiful looking punch. We get some more neat stuff, and to top it off we get a fun finishing sequence with some near falls. Just a real fun match. 2. Greg Valentine vs. Wahoo McDaniel This is such a slugfest. Both me just lay into one another. Wahoo is bleeding. Then the finish of Valentine breaking Wahoo's leg is tremendous. Man what a boss of a match.
  18. That is what struck me the most from the match. I thought ths was a good mat based match with some nasty exchanges.
