    Actually for me the things that I like are good work, work that makes sense, I enjoy matches where we see good work on body parts. I will admit flashy offense was important to me in like 96 or 97. Now with Demolition I thought they played their roles well, and had a sound psychology. Still to me they needed really good workers to have good matches. To me their best matches were against the likes of the Rockers, Tully and Arn, Hart Foundation, and Bulldogs. I bet these guys best matches wouldn't have Demolition in their top 5. Maybe the Hart Foundation.

    I'm on the fence on Demolition. I don't think they are great, but can be a serviceable tag team. I thought Bill Eadie had a solid psychology. I do like the Rockers MSG match with the Demos. I do think the Rockers make the match. By making the match I mean making it entertaining, The Rockers offense was so much more entertaining. They were much better at selling in the bout. Sure Demolition was driving the car in the sense that they weren't going to do anything they didn't want to do. Just cause Demolition thought they couldn't bump for a Rockers drop kick. It would take 2 or 3 for them to take the bump doesn't mean they made the match. Sure they made the Rockers work and the psychology played into the big team vs little team motif overall. To me though it was all the stuff that the Rockers brought to the table that made the match good.

    I'm finding this set really easy to digest so far. It kinda has what wrestling is supposed to offer folks. You know the analogy of the 3 ring circus. I mean we have had some good technical bouts, bloody brawls, tag team wrestling, fun 6 man stuff, characters like Mad Dog and the Crusher, seeing Hogan truly loving wrestling. Heck he was probably still in love with his wife at this point in time. This is just after 2 discs and 2 matches on a 3rd. I love 80's territorial wrestling. For me AWA is full of hidden gems. Years ago I got some comps of Bock, Bock vs. Hennig, and Midnight Rockers vs. Rose and Somers from K-Hawk, great stuff by the way. So the only other AWA I've seen was their t.v from ESPN when they were on their death knell, a WWE produced DVD, and some World Pro shows. So this set is cool as shit.

    Their was a big angle between the two if I remember correctly. I believe Gene Anderson was managing Flair/Valentine. I believe Valentine and Gene broke Flair's nose with the cane.

    I'll second ACH. I've seen him work live around 6 or 7 times and usually has at least a fun match. The dude has loads of charisma, and connects well with the crowd here in Austin.

    Regal in that 1st WCW run is great. When 1st viewing him I didn't get him as a worker. Watching the run years later he is great.

    Murdoch is a pro and it is full on display here. I bet if Murdoch was still around today and cut a promo on the WO HOF voters on why he should be in he would be in. Just a classic heel promo and a nice piece of business.

    I loved the brawling here. Like Loss said the intensity really was on display here. They seemed to really click with one another here.

    We get a nice little 6 man tag that leads to a strong angle with Morton getting busted open. Good stuff.

    This was a real fun. Steamboat showed a lot of fire here. He also sold like a champ. Vader and Race were great stooging off one another. The crowd is hot for this. I wish we could have gotten some ppv or clashes between these 2.

    This was really some great stuff. The matwork was so damn great. The little nuances were on display. Moving over to the arm had some neat stuff as well. I'm a little confused on the finish and didn't think it was needed to muddle up such a tremendous bout.

    I loved this match. I dug the early mat work and thought it set the table for the brutality and stiff work that followed. Both guys worked hard. Tenryu took such a beating and Hash wasn't too far behind. Just an epic battle.

    Just a give and take match with mostly Pritchard giving and Bret taking. Nothing special here.

    The 5* is a what are you smoking, but still a fun bout.
