???? Not sure what you mean. He got injured, had surgery on his leg and died because the idiot Dr didn't tell him he wasn't supposed to fly afterwards so he got a blood clot as a result which led to his death, nothing to do with wrestling or drugs. Because it happened a while ago I might have had my facts wrong. I thought with the clot he didn't do a follow up with a Dr. and tried to get by on his own. As in fighting through the injuries like a lot of wrestlers do.

Though with Candido it could be linked to some extent to past drug issues. As in he was clean compared to wrestling standards, but the wrestling mentality was a cause in his death.

This was an excellent bout. These guys have incredible chemistry with one another. I remember buying this show in 92, one because I was a Sting mark, and 2 Liger was on the show and he blew me away at Superbrawl 2. Going into this as a fan I was like their is no way Vader is winning. We were taught through the years that fat guys can be monsters but never hold the title. We saw Bundy, Andre, Bigelow, Earthquake, Bossman etc never win the title. So the finish was a holy shit moment for me, and you could see it in the crowd at the Bash. On a sidenote I always prefered his music here and from the 80's compared to his man called Sting theme.

This was nowhere near the level of the Superbrawl tag. I liked some stuff in this, but overall it felt flat to me. I thought the finish was cool. I liked the teasing of the hot tags, but it was obvious Windham and Rhodes were short arming it. Why did Madusa distract the ref for Rude to do the drop kick off the top. It was explained that it wasn't a DQ under the NWA rules. Overall just there.

This was pretty good, but was off in spots. I remember Meltzer mentioning this was good when Koloff wasn't in the bout. I think he way off base with that claim. For me some of the best aspects of the match was the big man little man aspects with Koloff. Koloff's work on the apron was pretty great as well. To me Steamer and Pillman's timing with one another seemed off with each other on a couple of things. Funny they would be working a program with each other for 6 months in a bout a few months. Also for a show that has a rep for the matches killing the crowd, they seemed pretty hot for this. Overall, a fun babyface style tag.

Yeah Tim I am so glad you have taped these shows. SMW really put on good shows and a lot of it would have never have surfaced if it wasn't for you.

I think tag bouts are kinda dumb in a worked shoot where most of the bout is spent on the mat. Still even with my feelings I like this. I thought everyone looked good here. Silver has impressed me with his hard work. Albright's suplexes are awesome. For a while I thought they were building to an Albright/Silver match because of how Silver took forever to tag out. All 4 guys looked good, and Silver's tag to Albright is about an awesome of a "hot tag" as it comes. I really enjoyed this.

I thought this was boss. Kobashi knee selling was tremendous and added a ton of drama to this awesome match. I thought Fuchi and Ogawa were strong heels. Ogawa trying to trip Kobashi on the outside was a great spot that got a lot of heat. The finish though looked like a double pin. I too thought it was a tad better than the Can-Ams bout.

Now Tim you not liking it because of the announcers is fine and I can understand that hurting a match. Though I'm curious on what part of their work didn't you like. I remember liking this when I saw it last time. When I get to this I'll comment in more detail. I 'm just curious what you didn't like about the actual work since Flair or Hart really can't be blamed at all for bad commentating. Also it's interesting how both guys bag on each other for their matches not being good. While evidence points to them actually being good. So as someone who didn't care about the match like you said I would like to hear a little bit more about the work that you didn't care about.

The Garvin/Andre stuff looked amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if Andre sold a lot for Garvin. It had a real National Geographic feel to it.

I thought this was solid. I thought we might get a little more brawling. I was surprised that Morton's ring post bump didn't lead to Gilbert destroying the arm. Still the presentation of the angle with match was gold.

Another thing about the Rock N Roll that kinda suprised me was in 93 Observer awards they didn't even finish in the top 10 tag team awards. I can understand not making it in 92 since they were only together for 6 months, but in 93 that's shocking. Especially the team they feuded with for most of the year, the Heavenly Bodies finished 2nd. What I'm getting at is I bet that a lot of the people who vote in the Observer HOF also voted for the year end awards in 93 and snubbed the Rock N Roll. So the Rock N Roll lack of love has been around the Observer for a while. I know they never won tag team of the year. I wonder if they were ever in the top 3 or so. Off the top of my head I can't remember.
