  1. I thought we had a good match which got some time. Luger really didn't bring nearly as much as the other 3 did to the match. Sting as FIP was really good. Dug Flair selling his back later on from Sting's superplex. Luger's hot tag was ho-hum.The chairshots that the Giant took looked nasty. Steiner misses by a tad and almost breaks the Giant's nose.
  2. Awesome segment. Just a great piece of business that even teases a possible match at the GAB. Nash had probaly his best money promo of his life. Stuff like this was why Nitro was can't miss T.V.
  3. That was sick.
  4. This segment gave me goosebumps 15 years ago, and I enjoyed it just as much today. That slap Sting does to Hall is awesome. Bischoff mouthing Hall's final line is funny. Never noticed this before. I so wanted Hall and Sting to go at it right then and there.
  5. I've been watching a lot of SMW lately and I guy I kinda dig is Boo Bradley/Balls Mahoney. He's not a good worker in the traditional sense, but he new how to play the sympathetic character well. He was super over in SMW where the crowd loved him. I haven't watched a bunch of his ECW stuff so I can't really comment on it, but some of the stuff was solid. Maybe Dylan or someone else could elaborate. His character stuff with Kelly and Miz in WWEECW was entertaining and got over.
  6. I thought this match was excellent. The guys worked some neat stuff and focused on body parts as the base of the match. Then went into some fun spots. Psicosis looked about as good as he ever did in WCW. I liked the Malenko bouts, but I thought this bout trumped both of the Misterio/Malenko bouts on ppv in 96.
  7. Blaze from what I have seen of him comes across as real solid worker. To me though the Severn matches were the real eye openers. I mean before that he was having good matches with Candido,DWB types who had a reps as really good workers. Then with Severn hedidn't even come close as having a good worker rep. Then Blaze comes in and has credible matches with Severn. When you think about it did SMW really have a bad worker on the roster. I mean they had a few that were poor like Bedlam, Punisher, Unabomb , the Mummy etc. But all of them could be carried.
  8. I remember watching this when it 1st aired and I was going nuts. Flashforward 14 years later and I'm still popping big for the match. I loved how both teams just threw everything at one another. Just a fun match an worked just like a dream match would between these 2 teams.
  9. It makes sense, and I like the idea. I've created a new folder with what have generally been the most popular threads at PWO. They aren't closed or read-only, they're just in a smaller subforum where they are easier to locate. I like this a lot.
  10. I've seen people Hulk up while in the figure 4, but I've never seen a total no sell of it until this point.
  11. I LMAO the other day when listening to Observer Radio with Dave and Alvarez talking about the Regal/Daniel Bryan match which was an awesome 4 minute match according to them.(I haven't seen it) Alvarez goes at least we got to see it on Raw and not Superstars. Dave is like I wish it went longer. I'm thinking guys if it was on Superstars we would have gotten a much longer bout.
  12. A cool show would be to pick a wrestler that you guys differ on. It could be like a point/counterpoint type of show. Flair and Reed come to mind.
  13. I also loved it when I read it in the Observer years ago was how he marked out over Super Porky working in the WWE.
  14. Another fun show. A couple of my favorite moments of Waltman in WCW were 3 that come to mind. 1. During the Flair feud they were cutting promos on each other and Flair said 6-Pac I've been World Champion more times than you've had pieces of ass. Waltman's look on his face was great. 2. The bumps he took in a War Games match. He was bumping into the top of the cage. 3. In the Scott Hall/Larry Z build Larry Z caught him in some form of choke that was so awesome in his sell job.
  15. Satanico fire tights.

  17. Another part of the show that I loved was when Naylor started bagging on Reed. I was like get him Will and Will didn't let me down. Will might be the biggest Reed supporter on the net. Bagging on Reed is akin to calling his kids ugly. LOL I liked the Doom/Steiner bouts. What I always dug about Reed in these bouts were how he tried to work a bout while the Steiners and Simmons were busting out power moves and going all out balls to the wall. Reed was the glue that brought the psychology to the bout.
  18. A fun topic for you guys to discuss. The Steiner Bros were one of those teams that were so fun to watch.Their squash bouts were the best. I loved the closing of the show how Will said Rob let's finish on a high note and list favorite Steiner bouts and Naylor's phone drops him. LMAO Gerwitz or Russo could never script comedy that funny. Still a fun show.
  19. I would love for you guys to talk about Buddy Rose.
  20. I loved how all of you guys were giggling when Missy recounted the water trough story.
  21. Also I believe part of the problem with the DDP/Eddie dynamic was I believe DDP was booked as the 1st guy to get revenge on the NWO so he got over super fast. DDP was a heel for his whole tenure up to this point. So his dynamic worked better with Chavo and Badd. So when he goes into his bouts with Eddie we have a guy DDP who the crowd clearly sees as a guy who's about to break through to the top and has been getting mike time. While with Eddie he's kinda being booked into a holding patern that the crowd sees and would be proven with feuds with Syxx and Malenko for the U.S title. So we have face going through the glass ceiling to face who wins somes and loses some. If memory serves me I think I have my timeline right here.

  23. I thought Gabe's Sabu for the WO HOF was an interesting take. The original ECW fan base who were there at his debut are the only ones I feel that can rationalize his induction without coming across as a WTF are you thinking. I don't think he deserves to sniff the HOF, but if you were with him from the beginning I can understand that POV a little more.
  24. I think the point is getting missed here. For example, when people think of an open faced chop they think of Flair. While Wahoo and Johnny Valentine did them before Flair, crowds aren't going Wahoo!!!! they are going whooo!!!!! in reference to Flair. Just because someone does something earlier doesn't mean they are known for it. Now to the point I was making. In the Destroyer/Baba bout Destroyer does a great job at hiding the foreign object. When I think of that spot Lawler is the 1st one that comes to mind. So I was wondering how is it that it is great wrestling in the Destroyer bout, but typical phony wrestling by Lawler when he does it. What makes it great when Destroyer does it but not Lawler. I could understand if Lawler did it poorly but he is amazing at it by the heat he generates from it.
