    And to bring this around to my original point, he had New York City while the other guys couldn't claim to have as much stroke in Chicago or Los Angeles, the two runners-up to NYC as major American cities (or unofficial capitals if you like). If Vince, Sr. was the big cheese in a place like Albuquerque, New Mexico or Des Moines, Iowa and someone else ran NYC, we'd be talking about that someone else right now.

    The piece of music is called "Thinking and Feeling" by Larry Owens. It's from a 1984 album called Powerpulse, I'm assuming it was made for aerobics classes back when they were starting to get popular.

    I love those shoots. Bobby is more like himself from 10-15 years before, his storytelling and friendship with Cornette really shine through. I love their stories about dealing with fans in the old territory days.

    Um... What's the Um for? Couldn't find a good pic of it at Wrestlemania 7, and so I found this from survivor series instead. Fair enough. 90 and 91 was an interesting time for the WWF design-wise, the gear was becoming more and more colorful and their overall aesthetic was changing to reflect the new decade.

    WCW had him on the upper card for awhile, most notably in his Halloween Havoc match with Simmons. Then he basically vanished once Watts was gone and wasn't seen until his brief stint with WWF in 94-95.

    Worst: Honky Tonk Man's "suspender" tights, pre-WrestleMania III. He said in the '87 Timeline that he hated them too. Warrior's flesh-colored singlet, in fact anything flesh-colored. Too homo-erotic. Whatever that thing Jeff Jarrett wore on top until like '97 or '98.

    For a foreign title, that's not half bad actually. This was so much better than Beyond The Mat. Everyone seemed more at ease with the cameras (probably thinking little of it will ever see the light of day, as it was really just going to be a puff piece on Bret for Canadian television originally).

    This was just pure balls and a bit of class on Rick's part to do this. Bret praised him in the book for doing it and in a segment on Bret's first DVD with WWE about everyone no longer here, he gets a little emotional when talking about Rick. Bischoff's shoot reaction behind him is fantastic.

    Probably just lip service. Between this and what WWF did on that same night, it seems the Big Two thought they could milk this for publicity (with Princess Di's death the major news at the time).

    The closest thing to an angle they had all year was them and Bobby against the Orient Express and Fuji that was just limited to a couple of MSG shows in the summer of '91. There's a match with Kato and Fuji (I think Tanaka was away for personal reasons) against Haku and Barb that's quite funny because it's probably the only time in his career that Heenan is a face.
