  1. http://www.pwinsider.com/article/92760/lots-of-backstage-wwe-hall-of-fame-news-and-notes.html?p=1
  2. Clash of the Champions had shows in June those years. I'd say pretty much both of those, tweaked up a little more for the PPV audience.
  3. 1,000 hours of wrestling content? Where was that in the release?
  4. I remember hearing that, I just wondered if there was more to it than that.
  5. Just a suggestion, but I think it would be a good idea in the Pro Wrestling thread to just have one thread for major events like WM instead of several which could make things confusing to some.
  6. I'd say Savage because he really put over the (no pun intended) pomp and circumstance of pro wrestling in everything he did anyway, it was custom-made for what's become The Big One. I think if you look at a lot of the more elaborate entrances over the years, he was at the start of a lot of that. And all he did was just wear cool looking stuff and did his poses.
  7. Why did Zbyszko leave WWF in 81? I've heard bits and pieces elsewhere but never understood why they didn't try to keep him after the crazy success of his run with Bruno.
  8. Rikishi's speech is pretty good, better than what I was expecting for some reason.
  9. And who's to say one still won't happen? I guess just hope that Arnold has strong feelings for his mother.
  10. Thank goodness.
  11. Just saw a clip of him on Twitter with his prediction for Sting/HHH. He's looking better.
  12. My first thought is is that they are sabotaging their own show because Savage is getting in.
  13. I remember it was the lead story on the radio the following morning. I didn't even watch the show (electing instead to watch the riveting Jesse Ventura made-for-TV biopic instead), so hearing it there was a shock.
  14. Benoit coming out to congratulate Sting was a weird touch.
  15. Thought it was interesting they had Okerlund set up for an interview with Flair but I guess the blade job was so bad (looked more like ECW than classic Flair-blading) they cut it out.
  16. Have to bring this up, but is this really surprising anyone given UFC's recent stance on drugs?

  18. It was on the pre-game show, with McMahon and Lawler calling the match MST3K-style.
  19. One of the brothers on Bloodline would make a perfect Jim Duggan.
  20. A lot of them in this.
  21. When I saw him on Larry King after the Benoit incident, I just knew WWE needed this guy as a public face of the company. Desperately. John Cena conducted himself very professionally and came off very educated to the questions he was asked. Almost the complete opposite of what Vince had been in interviews before. And reading all the things I have about how committed he is to being the company ace, I just get the feeling if Vince loses him the way he did some of those other guys he only has himself to blame. On top of everything else, what separates him from some of those other guys is that none of them grew up wanting to be professional wrestlers when they were kids. Not only that, he wanted to be WWF champion, which tells me if there was WCW-level competition this whole time he'd still be loyal to Vince and everyone.
  22. Is Giant Baba in?
